NASCAR Cup Series

This weekend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series visits Dover International Speedway, a one-mile, concrete oval where Circle Sport-Leavine Family Racing feels confident in securing a strong run.

Aric Almirola is looking forward to returning to Dover International Speedway, but he knows that mayhem is always waiting to break loose at the "Monster Mile". Statistically his best race track, Almirola is hoping for a strong run at the one-mile oval as he rides the positive momentum of a jump in the Championship Point Standings after Kansas. An 18th-place finish moved Almirola up two spots to 22nd in the standings.

With an encouraging race at Kansas Speedway last weekend in the rearview mirror, Brian Scott and the No. 44 ACME/Shore Lodge team head to the "Monster Mile" ready to take on the one-mile speedway this weekend. Dover is another favorite track for Scott, and one he has found success at in the XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series - including the first win of his stock car racing career.

Heading into this weekend's event at the Dover International Speedway, the No.32 CorvetteParts.Net team will travel to "The First State" with Jeffrey Earnhardt returning behind the wheel for the 47th annual AAA 400 Drive for Autism at the 1-mile "Monster Mile" in Dover, Delaware.

In celebration of Darlington Raceway's "The Tradition Continues" throwback race weekend, Richard Childress Racing unveiled paint schemes today for its Nos. 3 and 31 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams, to be raced in the Bojangles' Southern 500 on Sunday, September 4.

Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing and Wood Brothers Racing return to the AAA 400 Drive for Autism at Dover International Speedway for the first time since 2008, riding a bit of a hot streak after a ninth-place effort in Talladega and a fifth-place showing in Kansas.

Busch held off Kevin Harvick down the stretch to win the GoBowling,com 400 at Kansas. Busch is second in the Sprint Cup points standings, four behind Harvick.

Martin Truex Jr. could use some home cooking after suffering a devastating loss Saturday night at Kansas Speedway where he was dominant until a brake head bolt broke late in the race and got lodged behind the wheel. He led 172 of the 267 laps.

KAHNE AT DOVER: In Kasey Kahne’s last two starts at Dover, he has taken the checkered flag in the fourth and sixth positions. In Kahne’s 24 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at the "Monster Mile," he has started on the outside pole position three times, bringing his career total to eight top-10 starting positions at Dover.
