NASCAR Cup Series

Roush Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle heads into the 2016 season on a continued quest to become the first driver to claim a championship in all three of NASCAR major series. There are a few new faces on the No. 16 team heading into the season, including Brian Pattie, who takes over as crew chief for Biffle. Pattie and Biffle have had success in the past and look to continue that winning partnership into this season.

Premium Motorsports is pleased to announce it has officially signed Cole Whitt to drive the No. 98 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car. The 24-year-old Whitt, who will be entering his third full season in the premier Sprint Cup Series, finished 31st in driver points each of his first two seasons.

Tony Stewart, driver of the No. 14 Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, sustained a back injury in a non-racing accident Sunday afternoon.

I loved watching Cale Yarborough in the No. 11 and Richard Petty piloting the No. 43. How I miss seeing Dale Earnhardt in that black No. 3. I wish I could see Rusty Wallace again in that blue deuce though my reasoning is that him driving means there was no way in hell he would be announcing.

Team Penske and Coca-Cola have announced that the two entities will continue their alliance in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS). Under the multi-year agreement, Coca-Cola will continue to be featured on the No. 22 Ford Fusion and Team Penske driver Joey Logano will once again be a member of the Coca-Cola Racing Family.

The Motorsports Hall of Fame announced today that Richard Childress, chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing, was nominated to its 2016 class of inductees. Childress is one of seven individuals scheduled to be inducted into the hall of fame which honors and preserves the achievements of the greatest legends of motorsports on land, sea and in the air.
