From deep in the heart of the Lone Star State, here is what was surprising and not surprising from the 11th annual AAA Texas 500.

Johnson (No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet) overtook an extremely dominant Keselowski (No. 2 Wurth Ford) with four laps remaining Sunday to win the AAA Texas 500 for the fourth consecutive year at Texas Motor Speedway.

The driver of the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet led only six laps on his way to scoring his 75th career victory, fifth win of the season and sixth at Texas Motor Speedway.

Tire wear plagued the field of 43 Sunday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway after a weeping track prevented any race practice on Saturday. Biffle started the race 12th in his No. 16 Ortho Ford Fusion, but a flat right front under green cost him valuable track position. The unraveling tread also caused a hole in the cowl cover of his hood and created handling issues for the rest of the race, contributing to a 19th-place finish.

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, finished in the 39th position on Sunday afternoon in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Texas Motor Speedway after a flat right-rear tire sent the Roush Fenway Racing driver to the garage for repairs.

On Sunday, the six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion completed a sweep of this year’s Texas Motor Speedway races, powering past hapless Brad Keselowski with three laps left to win the AAA Texas 500 for the fourth straight year.

BRAD KESELOWSKi, No. 2 WURTH FORD FUSION (FINISHED 2nd) “The 48 car had mega turn that last run and I couldn’t keep the turn and it kept pushing real bad. I did everything I could to hold him off but he was way faster that last run."

Kyle Busch (fourth) and Carl Edwards (fifth) were the top-finishing Toyota drivers in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Texas Motor Speedway that was won by Jimmie Johnson.

“Maybe when the restart happened I thought about those guys. You get so caught up in the moment and racing with guys. I just like to race guys clean anyway. I kept working on him and working on him. I could see he was tight and his car wasn’t ideal and then he moved up and had the high lane covered. He got real loose off (Turn) 2 and I had a big run off the top and I went for a a big slide job down in (Turns) 3 and 4, kind of like the Eldora stuff that I learned and got the win. "
