Camry driver Denny Hamlin claimed the first Chase race victory in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Chicagoland Speedway. The top four spots in the NSCS driver standings are held by the four Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota drivers. Toyota driver Kyle Busch won Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Chicagoland while Tundra driver Timothy Peters earned a third-place finish in Saturday’s rain-postponed NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race.

BRAD KESELOWSKi, No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion - Qualified 3rd / Finished 8th “It looked like we were going to steal something that final restart. We gained quite a few spots and probably weren’t quite a top-five car but almost stole a top-five."

JOEY LOGANO, No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion - Qualified 2nd / Finished 6th “I felt like we were in the cat-bird seat on that restart starting sixth with new tires. I had a good start and got three-wide. The 18 got tight and fenced us."

A total of 23 Team Chevy drivers will start the myAFibRisk.com 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Chicagoland Speedway. The 267-lap/400.5-mile race is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon September 20. BRP, the manufacturer of world renowned motorized recreational vehicles and engines, will serve as the title sponsor for the 150-mile qualifying races for the DAYTONA 500 at Daytona International Speedway (DIS), part of Speedweeks 2016. The races will be known as the Can-Am Duel At Daytona.

Jeffrey Earnhardt signed a multi-year deal starting with the 2016 season to drive in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with Go FAS Racing.

On September 8 while playing basketball, Denny Hamlin suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in his right knee. Despite the injury, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver has committed to running the rest of the 2015 Sprint Cup Series schedule as he is one of the 16 drivers that will be chasing after the championship.

Over the course of the last 11 races, eight of them have been won by Joe Gibbs Racing drivers, with Kyle Busch snagging four wins, Matt Kenseth winning three races and Carl Edwards scoring a single win. With all four drivers within the organization qualified for the Chase for the Championship, it would look as though the chance are in their favor for success. There are even some predictors that have placed more than one of the four drivers in the final round at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.
