It's known as the most electrifying night in NASCAR and now Sam Hornish Jr. and the No. 9 Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) team will make it even more exciting for one local partner. Blue-Emu®, based in Bristol, Tenn., announced today it will serve as the primary sponsor of the RPM team during the night race at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

The No. 43 Smithfield team went into last week's race 50 points outside of a Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup transfer spot. By scoring a Top-15 finish, they cut that deficit by more than half and sit just 23 points behind Clint Bowyer who is in the transfer spot. Aric Almirola is confident that the team can contend for a win this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Biffle has an average starting position of 14.4 and finishing position of 12.6 at the short track; making it his second best track in average finishes.

The popular alternative band X Ambassadors will visit Dover International Speedway on Oct. 4 and perform a free concert before the “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. The race serves as race No. 3 in the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, and the first elimination race in NASCAR’s playoff format. X Ambassadors lead singer Sam Harris will also perform the National Anthem prior to the start of the race.

Martinsville Speedway’s Green Flag Experience just got even more entertaining with the addition of Clint Bowyer.

Short-term lender CashCash will make its first appearance as a NASCAR partner this week with David Gilliland during the fan-favorite Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway. The company's green and white colors will adorn the No. 38 Ford Fusion as primary sponsor for Saturday night's 500-lap short-track event.

Stenhouse has five NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at Bristol Motor Speedway with an average starting position of 24.4 and average finishing position of 9.2.

With the new high drag package creating some high anxiety, here is what was surprising and not surprising in the Pure Michigan 400 from the speedway nestled in the Irish Hills.

Matt Kenseth, this is your life. Well, at least Michigan was his race, his and his alone. Of the 200 laps run, Kenseth led 143 of them to claim his third of the season, and 34th of his career.
