Ryan Blaney and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion team had the speed in Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway but came up a little short on the luck side.

Richard Childress Racing drivers Austin Dillon, Ryan Newman and Paul Menard finished fourth, eighth and 12th, respectively, in the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Matt Kenseth played “Catch Me If You Can,” and no one could on Sunday in the Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and the No. 17 team traveled to Michigan, the backyard of Ford Performance and Jack Roush, for the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Stenhouse battled an ill-handling race car for the majority of the day, managing a hard earned 26th – place finish.

From Matt Kenseth's point of view, the competition package NASCAR used at Michigan International Speedway could well have had a big, bright bow on it.

Michigan International Speedway is statistically one of Greg Biffle’s best tracks, but a lack of grip kept him from claiming another victory at the two-mile track. Biffle qualified 20th in the No. 16 Ortho Ford but did not have the grip he needed in traffic. A mid-race pit strategy gamble did not work out for Biffle and his team, but they were able to rebound to finish 23rd.

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, recorded a 22nd-place finish on Sunday afternoon in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Michigan International Speedway after improving seven positions in the final 30 laps of the event.

Martin Truex Jr. had mixed feelings after posting a strong third-place finish in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

Defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, Kevin Harvick, had another strong performance in his No. 4 Jimmy John’s/Budweiser Chevy SS at Michigan International Raceway with a runner-up finish in the Pure Michigan 400, Round 23 of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The mighty run marked Harvick’s fifth second place finish at the super-fast, 2.0-mile track in the last six races held at the facility. He also holds a 48 point lead in the current standings over the second place competitor.

Toyota driver Matt Kenseth was victorious in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Michigan International Speedway.
