Richard Petty Motorsports and Power to the Patients announce a partnership for the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Bank of America ROVAL™ 400 on Sunday, October 10, 2021.

ASCAR today announced the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, a slate that spans 39 total events. The 2022 schedule builds on the steps taken in 2021 by adding more new and dynamic venues which will host NASCAR’s premier series for the first time.

NASCAR issued L1 penalties to the No. 9 team of Chase Elliott and the No. 48 team of Alex Bowman Thursday afternoon. It was determined that the teams had violated Section 20.6.1e in the NASCAR Rule Book.

Trackhouse Entertainment Group and Trackhouse Racing announced Wednesday afternoon the purchase of Chip Ganassi Racing’s NASCAR operation. The acquisition will be effective at the end of the 2021 season.

Texas Motor Speedway president and GM Eddie Gossage said, “Drivers and pit crews better pack their lunch pails because they are going to have to work extremely hard to earn the honor of celebrating in Victory Lane.”

NASCAR will hold a test session Thursday at Martinsville Speedway to look at the possibility of using rain tires on NASCAR's shorter ovals. They are not discussing racing in the rain but being able to race on a wet track which should shorten rain delays.
