Within the world of NASCAR, there are victories that nearly every driver craves. The Daytona 500, Brickyard 400 and Southern 500 are among the most iconic events in the history of the sport, and ones that all drivers desire to win.

Daniel Ricciardo was content to settle for second or third, but a late race reliability issue for one of the Mercedes drivers allowed him to take the lead and score the victory.

The two XFINITY practices on Friday in preparation for Saturday's race at Dover fought against the weather and although one session ended up going off without any issues, the second session was cut short due to rain.

The driver of the Target Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Chevrolet paced the first Saturday practice with a speed of 132.186 and finished off Happy Hour with a speed of 132.577.

SPARTA, Ky. -- Erik Jones topped the chart in final XFINITY Series practice at Kentucky Speedway. The driver of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota posted the fastest time in the final practice session with a time of 28.720 and a speed of 188.022 mph.

Carl Edwards earned the Coors Light Pole Award for the Bad Boy Off Road 300 Friday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (Sunday, 2 p.m. ET, NBCSN, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) by recording a third-round lap of 135.453 mph in his No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.
