Chase Elliott captured the Busch Pole Award on Friday night for the Coke Zero Sugar 400, his third career pole at Daytona International Speedway.

AUSTIN CINDRIC, No. 60 Odyssey Battery Ford Mustang – “I’m fine. It’s just unfortunate. We have such a strong run like that and it comes to an end early. There are plenty of things I can complain about, but I have to be thankful that Roush and NASCAR and everybody else who puts safety first really comes to fruition in situations like that. It’s definitely the biggest wreck I’ve ever had. It’s unfortunate I keep having those at Daytona. I’ve got to quit going to this infield care center here. I know all the people and all the faces. They’re very nice, but it’s just a shame. We were giving Odyssey Batteries and the Ford guys and Roush guys a great run and it’s too bad to see us come up short.”

Christopher Bell finished third in Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway and was the highest-finishing Camry driver.

Kyle Larson brought home the victory in a wild finish at the Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 at Daytona International Speedway. Driving his No.42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet he crossed the finish line mere inches from Elliott Sadler, who came in second place.

Toyota Supra is back at the track! Beginning in 2019, the globally-recognized iconic sports car will prove its championship mettle in the hotly contested NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS). Supra will make its on-track debut in the NXS race at Daytona on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019.

On Wednesday, Spencer Gallagher was reinstated by NASCAR and is eligible to compete once again in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Two months ago, he was indefinitely suspended for violating the substance abuse policy.

Cindric at Daytona “I’m excited to be back in the No. 60 this weekend. Daytona hasn’t been my friend in a stock car, but I have had some good runs there in other series. I’m hoping to change that this weekend and complete all the laps and be in contention at the end. Roush Fenway always has good Superpseedway cars so I’m excited to get to the track and see what we can do this weekend in our Odyssey Batteries Ford Mustang.”
