Majeski on Dover “A lot of people say Dover is like a big Bristol. We don’t have the results to show for it, but I thought we had a pretty decent car at Bristol. I’ve been doing some iRacing, as well as some work on the Ford simulator preparing for Dover. I’ll have a lot of laps there before I ever get there. I’m looking forward to it, they say it drives like a short track and that’s up my alley.”

This weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Dover International Speedway marks Ryan Reed’s ninth start at the Monster Mile. In his eight previous starts, Reed has one top-five and two top-10 finishes. His best finish of fifth came in the 2017 spring race.

TALLADEGA, Ala. -- If you went by Elliott Sadler's post-race photo op after he collected $100,000 in the NASCAR XFINITY Grand National Series Dash 4 Cash, you'd think it was just a run of the mill afternoon. What the race results don't tell you, however, was that he rallied from a speeding penalty that put him a lap down to finish fifth.

Superspeedways tend to produce a racing product that fans find very exciting. This excitement often gets combined with uncertainty when teams and drivers head to Talladega. This time, on this day, it didn’t turn out as hoped for Spencer Boyd and the SS Greenlight team as the No. 76 Grunt Style Camaro’s day ended in the race’s second caution.

Matt Tifft and the KC Motorgroup Team Show Resilience at Talladega Superspeedway Despite Cut Tire - "We can't seem to catch a break at these restrictor-plate tracks. We had a strong No. 2 KC Motorgroup Chevrolet all weekend. My crew chief, Randall Burnett, and my team focused on race trim for this weekend, knowing we needed a bit more of that at our last plate race. I had no issues during the race, and we were able to run in the top 10 pretty much all day. It' unfortunate that our result didn't match it."

Austin Cindric looked to be in position to win his first NASCAR XFINITY Series race – and score $100,000 in the process as part of the four-driver Dash 4 Cash program – but his No. 22 Fitzgerald Glider Kits Ford Mustang ran out of fuel coming to the final restart to relegate him to a 30th-place finish in Saturday’s Sparks Energy 300 at Talladega Superspeedway.

TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Spencer Gallagher wasn't one of the primary contenders all day. He didn't win a stage, nor did he lead more than one lap. But that one lap was the one that mattered, when all was said and done.

But hey, we were in contention. We got shoved off cycle there but it is something out of our control and that is what put us in that position anyway. We can’t hang out head too low, it is just one of those deals. I am excited for Dover, it is one of my favorite tracks and the 22 guys have a lot of confidence going there so maybe we can pull off a win there.”

NASCAR needs more crossover stars. It's a time-honored tradition in the sport to bring in drivers from across the pond (mostly on NASCAR's dime) and put them in our cars not only to perform but to draw in the fans. This is usually met with success more on the fan side of things, although former F1 drivers Mario Andretti and Juan Pablo Montoya did find a bit of success in NASCAR.
