Richard Childress Racing's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series History at Phoenix Raceway ... Team owner Richard Childress has six victories at Phoenix Raceway, ranking him third on the all-time car owner victories list at the Avondale, Ariz. facility. This includes wins with Ryan Newman at the Series' most recent appearance to the track in March 2017, along with Kevin Harvick in Nov. 2013, Nov. 2012 and March and Nov. 2006. Prior to that, Dale Earnhardt won the Checker 500 on Nov. 4, 1990. In 112 starts at Phoenix, the Welcome, North Carolina based organization boasts 19 top-five and 42 top-10 finishes.

CONCORD, N.C. (Nov. 7, 2017) – Roush Fenway Racing has been recognized for outstanding achievement by the prestigious MarCom Awards. The team has been awarded a pair of MarCom Awards for its marketing and communications efforts in 2017.

“Phoenix is so much fun.  Both ends are completely opposite and it is really demanding on your racecar, it’s like a miniature Pocono.  Phoenix is kind of an emotional roller coaster for me. 

Gallagher and the No. 23 team will utilize chassis No. 216; this chassis has been used twice this season by Gallagher at Pocono Raceway (Start: 14th/Finish: 18th), as well as at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Start: 20th/Finish: 28th).

The stars are beginning to align for the Ford EcoBoost 300’s pre-race festivities, as Homestead-Miami Speedway has named NBC Universo’s “The Riveras” actor Jacqie Campos as the national anthem singer for the NASCAR XFINITY Series championship race on Saturday, November 18 at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Erik Jones captured the pole and won the first and second stages in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 race at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) on Saturday night. This was his third win of the season and the ninth of his NXS career.

Ryan Blaney started fourth and finished second in Saturday night’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway with the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang. On the initial start, Blaney struggled in the non-preferred outside lane, dropping several positions in the opening laps.

Camry driver Erik Jones captured the NASCAR XFINITY Series win at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night. Jones won both stages of the race, leading a race-high 142 of 200 laps on the way to his third-series win this season.

I thought we could get the wave around right after it happend at that stage break but I guess they closed the pits right there. It was the worst case scenario for us. Tough deal. I felt we had an okay Mustang, one that could contend for a top-10 and keep us in this deal and go to Phoenix and give ourselves a shot but it wasn’t meant to be. I am proud of everyone on the Lilly Diabetes Mustang team for not giving up and we won’t give up. We are still in it. It is pretty much a must-win going to Phoenix next weekend. That is the mentality we will have.”

This will be Spencer’s first visit to Texas Motor Speedway and the new track configuration.  Boyd remarked on going to another new track, “I’ve heard Texas is kind of like Charlotte, but I’ve learned in my short career that each track has its own unique characteristics.  I’ll approach it with respect, listen to my crew chief, and learn it as quickly as possible.  This race is also my last scheduled race of the year so I’ll be soaking it all in.”  Boyd will drive full time next season for SS Green Light Racing in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition with the No. 76 Grunt Style Chevrolet Camaro.
