The second race of Joey Logano’s Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedwaywas his best, as the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup contender strapped in for 300 miles of NASCAR XFINITY Series racing and drove to victory in the Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina after a spirited battle with fellow Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Larson.

With rain in the area and a significantly more promising Sunday forecast, Saturday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been moved to Sunday at 12 p.m. Gates will open Sunday at 9 a.m. with the Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina NASCAR XFINITY Series race scheduled to begin 45 minutes after the Bank of America 500.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and XFINITY Series will compete at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend while the Camping World Truck Series is off. Please check below for the complete schedule of events.

CONCORD, N.C. -- Weather stemming from Hurricane Matthew has forced NASCAR to cancel all on-track activity for Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Due to inclement weather, Friday’s on-track activity has been moved to Sunday; the Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina will be moved to Sunday at 11 a.m.; Saturday’s Bank of America 500, the only Saturday night race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, will begin at 7 p.m.

"We have improved on our 1.5-mile program throughout the year and it is where we want it here lately. Hopefully, we show that improvement this week in Charlotte and all of the hard work the guys on this JGL Racing team have done."

Spending 33 weekends on the road while traveling with the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) can be tough at times, but 25-year-old driver Ray Black Jr. appreciates the constant motion and has adapted to living his life all across the country.

“I’m really looking forward to racing at home this weekend in Charlotte with our Leidos Mustang. It’s always cool to see all of the families of our guys come out and watch what we do every week. This weekend is also important with it being a cutoff race in the Chase.

All RCR entries will run decals in memory of long-time RCR fabricator Johnny Siler this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Siler passed away on September 24 following a battle with cancer. His 22-year career at RCR was more than a job, it was his passion and he truly loved it.
