Ross Chastain will be looking to improve upon his Kentucky Speedway finish earlier this year when the Xfinity Series races at the 1.5-mile track in Saturday’s VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300.

Harrison Rhodes wants to work “full time” at this week’s Kentucky Speedway race. On the series’ spring visit to the track, Rhodes ran only 90 laps before parking his JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet with electrical problems. He finished 35th.

Jeremy Clements Racing and the Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS) are teaming up at Dover International Speedway in the Hisense 200 Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 to remind fans to Drive Sober and Arrive Alive. The OHS is challenging fans to make smart choices and plan ahead when deciding how to get home after a party or happy hour.

The No. 15 team has been penalized for an infraction that occurred on opening day inspection Sept.18. This is a P4 level penalty (Section 12.1, 20. 14.c, 20.14.2.1.k, 12.5.3.4.d, 12.5.3.4.1.d & f, 12.5.3.4.2 of the NASCAR rule book). Crew chief Billy W. Scott has been fined $75,000, suspended for the next three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship events and placed on NASCAR probation for six months following the issue of suspension.

Roush Fenway Racing driver Ryan Reed returns to Kentucky Speedway this weekend for back-to-back nights of racing. On Friday night, Reed will drive the No. 38 Lilly Diabetes Lira Motorsports Ford Fusion in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. On Saturday, he will return back to the track to race his No. 16 Lilly Diabetes American Diabetes Association Ford Mustang in the NASCAR XFINITY Series event.

Roush Fenway Racing’s Bubba Wallace makes his second career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Kentucky Speedway this weekend. In his previous start, which came earlier this season, Wallace started eighth and finished seventh.

Richard Childress Racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway ... Richard Childress has four victories as a team owner at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with Robby Gordon (2001), Kevin Harvick (2006) and Clint Bowyer (2007 and 2010).

Roush Fenway Racing’s Chris Buescher will make his fourth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Kentucky Speedway this Saturday. In his previous three starts, Buescher’s best start is sixth and his best finish is seventh.

Brennan Poole returns to the seat of the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro for the 15th time in 2015. Through 14 starts, Poole has two top-10s and nine top-15 finishes, with an average starting position of 16.2 and an average finishing position of 17.9.
