Roush Fenway Racing rookie of the year contender Ryan Reed ran a solid race Saturday evening at Kentucky Speedway, improving five positions in the closing 30 laps of the race to cross the finish line 11th in the No. 16 American Diabetes Association Drive to Stop DiabetesSM presented by Lilly Diabetes Ford Mustang.

Brendan Gaughan won his second Nationwide Series race of the 2014 season passing Chase Elliott and teammate Ty Dillon for the lead late in the Visitmyrtlebeach.com 300 at the Kentucky Speedway Saturday night. His other victory was at Road America in June.

Camry Chase drivers Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth all finished in the top-10 in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Chicagoland Speedway -- the first of 10 races that will decide the 2014 NSCS champion. Hamlin finished sixth, Busch was seventh and led 46 laps (of 267) during the race while Kenseth crossed the finish line 10th at the 1.5-mile oval. Each Toyota Chase driver ranks in those respective positions in the current point standings going into the second race of the championship playoff this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Country Bob's, an all-purpose sauces and seasonings company, will serve as the primary sponsor for Brian Scott and Richard Childress Racing's No. 2 Chevrolet team in the NASCAR Nationwide Series O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway on November 1.

Blake Koch will be back behind the wheel of the No. 44 Centershot Camry this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. With five previous starts at the 1.5-Mile Tri-Oval, Koch is eager to aim for success on familiar ground. Koch has an average starting and finishing position of 31.0 and has turned over 420 laps in the Bluegrass State. During the spring outing, Koch brought home a 19th place finish.

Mike Bliss is ready to take on the 1.5-mile Tri-Oval of Kentucky Speedway. After a mechanical issue regulated Bliss to a 34th place finish earlier this season, he is ready for redemption in the Bluegrass State. With an average starting position of 16.6 and an average finishing position of 20.1, it is no surprise that Bliss has seen success at this track in his past 12 starts at the Speedway.

Dakoda Armstrong and the No. 43 WinField team will head to another mile-and-a-half track this weekend. The team continues to show improvement the second half of the season but feel they can take their mile-and-a-half program to the next level, which is what they hope to accomplish this weekend. The team will refer to their notes from their June test and race weekend.

Stand Alone...While the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) are racing in New Hampshire, the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race will be up for grabs Saturday night in Kentucky. The VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 will be the final stand-alone event of the 2014 season. James Buescher comes into Kentucky with four previous NNS starts at the 1.5-mile oval. Buescher has recorded one top-10 in those four starts. The Texas native has an impressive record at the Kentucky Speedway with two NCWTS wins, both coming in 2012.
