NASCAR announced minor adjustments to its new qualifying procedure Thursday morning at Daytona International Speedway. The changes resulted after feedback received from teams in all three national series.

Bristol Motor Speedway officials today announced an important new sponsorship of the March 15 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, now known as the Drive to Stop Diabetes 300 presented by Lilly Diabetes.

Daytona International Speedway will see it's hometown driver, Scott Lagasse Jr. in action in a joint effort between RAB Racing and TeamSLR in the DRIVE4COPD 300 on Saturday, February 22nd. Lagasse Jr. will be carrying an important message for the fans in the state of Florida, on his No. 29 Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow Toyota Camry.

It was announced today that Danica Patrick will pilot Turner Scott Motorsports' (TSM) third entry in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Daytona International Speedway. Patrick, who will compete in her second full-time season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) in 2014, will be behind the wheel of the No. 30 Florida Lottery Chevrolet Camaro in the season-opening DRIVE4COPD 300. Veteran crew chief Mike Greci will once again be calling the shots from atop the pit box.

NASCAR announced several personnel moves within its Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) department, including the hiring of Tom Bryant, a 20-year U.S. Army veteran, to a new position of Director, Touring and Weekly Communications.

Billy Boat Motorsports (BBM) announced today a partnership with Keen Parts, through theirwww.corvetteparts.net brand, for the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) season-opener at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 22nd. Keen Parts will serve as an Associate Sponsor for the No. 84 Chevrolet Camaro as 21-year-old driver Chad Boat makes his NNS debut.

Tommy Baldwin Racing has hired Ryan Preece, the 2013 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Champion, to run two races in the NASCAR Nationwide series in 2014 in the No. 36 Chevrolet. Preece will make starts at Richmond International Raceway as well as returning to New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Last year, Nationwide announced they were not going to be sponsoring the Nationwide series after this season. This leaves a pretty big void for NASCAR, and it's going to be interesting to watch how negotiations for the new title sponsor go.
