Last weekend, Regan Smith made the last lap pass on Brad Keselowski to grab the win in the DRIVE4COPD 300. Then on Sunday, his team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the Daytona 500. So at the JR Motorsports shop this week, Smith said that there were a lot of happy guys.

Thankful of the opportunity created by the NASCAR Mexico Series and his great results in his short career, Ruben Garcia Jr. has been called in and asked by SR2 Motorsport to drive the #24 Toyota in the NASCAR Nationwide Series during the events this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway. The teenager has run full time in the NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series for the past two seasons, winning the Aguascalientes 240 in May of 2013.

Richard Childress Racing announced today the addition of Cale Conley to the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series driver lineup in the No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro. Conley will run a limited schedule, making his Nationwide Series debut at Bristol (Va.) Motor Speedway in March.

Jeffrey Earnhardt rolls into Phoenix International Raceway this week for his third shot at the relatively flat one-mile track in the Arizona desert. Earnhardt, now in his first full season in the Nationwide Series, will drive the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 4 Chevrolet in Saturday’s Blue Jeans Go Green 200 at PIR.
