In February of 2004, Roush Fenway accomplished one of the hardest feats in NASCAR, sweeping all three events at California Speedway. Mark Martin won in the truck series on Friday, followed by wins by Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth in the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series. Despite the degree of difficulty, RFR went on to accomplish the feat twice more in 2006 at Bristol and Homestead.

In 2010, Pastrana found a different kind of success in California, breaking the world record for a rally car jump. On New Year’s Eve, the driver jumped a rally car off the Pine Avenue Pier, 269 feet onto a floating barge in Rainbow Harbor. To celebrate the feat, Pastrana did a backflip into the harbor.

Blake Koch and the No. 24 SR2 Motorsports squad are heading west for the Royal Purple 300 at Auto Club Speedway. Koch is coming off his third straight top-25 finish of the season and looks to carry the momentum into this weekend.
