Early next week, Dr. Richard Lapchick, Founder and Director of the Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport, will begin his diversity rehabilitation with NASCAR driver Jeremy Clements.

World Financial Group, Inc. (WFG), a business unit of Transamerica, has joined forces with NASCAR-series championship team Roush Fenway Racing to sponsor Trevor Bayne in two NASCAR Nationwide Series races in 2013. Bayne will race the WFG and Transamerica sponsored No. 6 Ford Mustang in the Sam’s Town 300 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 9 and in the Great Clips 200 at the Phoenix International Raceway on Nov. 9.

After races at a superspeedway in Daytona and a flat track in Phoenix, the Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series head to Sin City this weekend to take on the 1.5 mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the first intermediate track both series will visit this year.

Johanna Long and the ML Motorsports team will head back west to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for this Saturday’s Sam’s Town 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race. Fans can watch and listen live on ESPN2, MRN and Siriusxm Radio at 1:30 pm PST/4:30 pm ET.

Kevin Swindell and the No. 98 Biagi-DenBeste Racing team will take to the track this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This will be the first race of the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series season for Swindell and the team.

Daryl Harr will return to race the No. 4 iWorld Chevy at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and looks to finish strong after disappointment in the desert. In running a limited schedule with JD Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Daryl looks to capitalize in Las Vegas to help build momentum for the No. 4 team.

Camry driver Denny Hamlin (third) was the first Toyota driver to the finish line in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). Hamlin dove to the apron on the final lap in an attempt to take second, but was edged out at the checkered flag by Jimmie Johnson for the position. Clint Bowyer (sixth) and Matt Kenseth (seventh) earned their first top-10 results of 2013 at the one-mile track.

Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps. Mike Wallace and the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team will use that saying as they prepare to race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The team has traveled from Phoenix with hopes of running and finishing well at the 1.5 mile track located just outside of the city.

Husky Liners®, a leading supplier of automotive accessories for light trucks, SUV's, vans and cars, will continue its partnership with Richard Childress Racing in 2013 as a primary sponsor for two races with the No. 2 NASCAR Nationwide Series team and Brian Scott at the wheel.

Blake Koch set a new benchmark for SR2 Motorsports at Phoenix International Raceway in last weekend's Dollar General 200. He eclipsed the team's best finish of 22nd place at the "Desert Jewel" with a 16th-place run. His eyes are now set on the Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he hopes to raise the bar yet again.
