Kevin Harvick won the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 in Richmond International Raceway. This was Harvick's sixth Nationwide Series win at Richmond and his first in the series since going to victory lane here since 2010

JR Motorsports and its competition director of five years, Tony Eury Sr., announced today the decision to amicably part ways, effective today. Eury is a winner of 55 NASCAR races in both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series as a crew chief. He has 28 years in the NASCAR industry, the last five of which were served as competition director and crew chief for JR Motorsports

Mike Wallace and the No. 01 Chevrolet team of JD Motorsports w/Gary Keller picked up a primary partner for this Friday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway.

Jason Bowles and his MacDonald Motorsports No. 81 team return to Richmond International Raceway this Friday night for the Virginia 529 College Savings 250. 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Random Acts will once again be presented on the No. 81 Dodge Challenger for the second weekend in a row. Jason and the team are proud to raise awareness for such a great organization working to conquer the world, one random act of kindness at a time.

Fans looking to get a more intimate look at the track at Dover International Speedway during the Sept. 28-30, 2012 race weekend will have that chance as the Monster Mile and OneMain Financial will again present the “OneMain Financial Open Track” session.

DODGE QUOTES: “I try not to play any favorites but Richmond is one of the places that I’ve been good at in the past in both Nationwide and Cup. So I’m really looking forward to going there. It’s all about getting your car to rotate in the middle (of the turns) so you can start applying throttle.

Michael Annett on Going to Richmond: “It’s always fun to go to Richmond and race under the lights. Night racing is full of beating and banging, and with the ‘Chase’ atmosphere surrounding the Cup guys this weekend I’m sure that will add to the racing excitement in both Series. I enjoy going to Richmond because I like short-track racing. We had a really good finish back in the spring and we are taking that same Pilot Flying J Ford back this weekend. I have high hopes of another good finish on Friday night at RIR.”

Stenhouse, Jr. on racing at Richmond International Raceway: “We’re coming off a huge win at Atlanta. Richmond is a fun track to race because it is the typical short track racing. We have been fast there in the past but have come up short. Hopefully we can get our first back-to-back win in our No. 6 Ford Ecoboost Mustang.”

Weekend Rewind: Atlanta - Prepared to turn things around after the previous weekend at Bristol, the BRANDT team went to work at the very fast, 1.54-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway. With the call of the night, crew chief Jimmy Elledge kept Justin Allgaier out on the track under a long, green-flag run in the waning laps of the 195-lap race. A timely caution allowed Allgaier to come to the attention of his team for new tires and fuel. He went on to score a fifth-place finish, his sixth top-five of the season.
