Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the NRA American Warrior 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway by battling past the night’s dominant driver, Kevin Harvick, and a charging Brad Keselowski, who had fresh tires.

I tried to make a move on Ricky (Stenhouse Jr.) coming to the white and he blocked it so I figured I’d just give him a push and he took that push and just ran with it and got in front of Kevin (Harvick)."

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) NRA American Warrior 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Stenhouse passed Kevin Harvick with one lap and half to go to win his fourth race this season and his first race at Atlanta.

ROWDY WINS NRA AMERICAN WARRIOR 300 POLE – Kyle Busch didn’t make a perfect qualifying lap, but it was still plenty to take the top spot for Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series NRA American Warrior 300.

Richard Childress Racing teammates finished first (Ty Dillon), seventh (Joey Coulter) and 28th (Tim George Jr.). Dillon remains third in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver championship point standings, nine points behind the leader, and Coulter ranks sixth in the standings. The No. 3 Chevrolet team is third in the Camping World Truck Series owner championship point standings, the No. 22 team fifth in the standings and the No. 2 team 10th.

In an 11th hour marketing partnership agreement, Atlanta, Georgia-based Kill Cliff will adorn the role as the primary marketing partner for Denver, North Carolina native Matt Carter in Saturday night’s NRA American Warrior 300 at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway.

Things have been quiet around these parts lately. Some by choice, a little by outside factors which took away time normally devoted to breaking down the latest NASCAR news. But, I haven’t been completely cut off from the racing world. The races were watched, dissected and discussed. And it was during that quiet time, removed from the journalism side, that viewing racing from a different perspective brought forth many thoughts.
