A late-afternoon thunder storm canceled NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying and delayed the start of the Nationwide Series event, leaving drivers and crew chiefs wondering what the “green” track would be like.

Race Summary: Michael Annett started the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway from the 18th position and quickly gained two spots in just the first two laps of the race to be scored in 16th coming to the stripe. Running on a green race track due to all the rubber being washed off in an earlier rain storm, Annett was able to avoid three early cautions that fell within the first 34 laps of the 250-lap race.

Joey Logano won the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway after a one hour delay due to rain. Logano led three times for 81 laps and captured first career Bristol win. This is Logano's sixth NNS win of 2012 and the 15th NNS victory of his career.
