Jason Leffler always a solid contender at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR)... In 14 Nationwide Series starts at the Avondale, Ariz.-based track, Leffler has captured two poles (2000 and 2006), two top-five (2nd in 2000 and 2009) and four top-ten finishes.

The 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series season finishes up with the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday, November 19. But that is just the start of a new partnership for Rusty Wallace Racing and the No. 62 Pilot Flying J race team.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) notes... James Buescher is having a career-year in his full-time pursuit for the NCWTS championship.

Ricky Carmichael will pilot Chassis TMS-311 from the Turner Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) stable in Saturday’s WYPALL 200 Powered by Kimberly-Clark Professional at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR).

NASCAR has fined Kyle Busch $50,000 and placed him on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31 for his actions during the Nov. 4 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Clint Bowyer and the No. 33 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) team head west this week to Phoenix International Raceway for the 33rd race of the 2011 season. In 10 previous starts at Phoenix, the driver has one win (2007), six top-five and seven top-10 finishes. He has also led a total of 214 laps around the one-mile oval in the desert.

Elliott Sadler and the No. 2 OneMain Financial team return to Phoenix International Raceway for the second event of the season at the Avondale, Ariz., track. In the first race at Phoenix this season, Sadler fought a loose-handling car and battled back from one lap down to finish 12th.
