Richard Childress Racing will welcome current championship contender Tyler Reddick to its 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series program. The Corning, California native is a two-time winner in the series and holds the closest margin of victory (0.0004 seconds) in NASCAR history with his 2018 win at Daytona International Speedway.

News and notes: The NASCAR Xfinity Series will return to racing action this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway after enjoying their final off-week of the 2018 season. With only three races remaining, Spencer Boyd and his Grunt Style Gladiators are ready to close out their rookie campaign strong, starting in Texas. “I can't believe it's already that time of year,” says Boyd. “The season has just flown by. It feels like yesterday when we were getting ready to head to Daytona! I've learned so much this year and now my focus is just to finish as strong as I possibly can. We ran well at Texas earlier this year, so I'm looking forward to duplicating our performance there."

After claiming his 14th top five of the season at Kansas, Elliott Sadler takes over the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff standings lead following a 10-point penalty to the No. 21.

In 105 starts at Texas Motor Speedway dating back to 1997, RCR has recorded one win (Jeff Burton, April 2007), eight top-five and 31 top-10 finishes with drivers Burton, Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Green, Paul Menard and Ryan Newman. Prior to Texas Motor Speedway's inaugural season in 1997, Richard Childress, a former driver in NASCAR's top division, earned a pair of top-10 finishes at the now defunct Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. RCR Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series teams boast an average starting position of 19.3, an average finishing position of 17.6 and have completed 33,937 of the 35,019 contested laps (96.9 percent) with 148 laps led at the 1.5-mile Fort Worth-based race track.

Ryan Reed will make his 10th NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. In his nine previous starts at the 1.5-mile track, Reed has finished 23rd or above and has six top-15 finishes.

Richard Childress Racing driver Shane Lee will drive the No. 3 Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma Chevrolet Camaro at the NASCAR Xfinity race at ISM Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, Nov. 10. The special wrap scheme will help raise awareness to save seriously injured children across the U.S. and encourage everyone to support the Childress Institute's Race to Give Day on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Following Saturday's XFINITY Series race at Kansas, ninth-place finisher Ryan Sieg had some choice words on Twitter for the NASCAR on NBC post-race coverage, and as it turns out, his tweet resonated with many fans and peers in the NASCAR community.

The Xfinity Series hit the track at Kansas Speedway for the Kansas Lottery 300 and what an interesting race it turned out to be. Two drivers would stay up front and battle for the lead, but only one driver could win. John Hunter Nemechek, in his No.42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet, grabbed his first career Xfinity Series win after battling hard with Daniel Hemric.

Austin Cindric and the No. 22 Menards/Richmond team recorded a disappointing 39th-place finish after a first-lap accident involving nine competitors during Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway, despite a very fast Ford Mustang.

Toyota drivers Chad Finchum and Josh Bilicki finished in the top 20 during Saturday afternoon’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway.
