The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will headline the racing action at Waterford (Conn.) Speedbowl on Saturday, June 23 with the Mr. Rooter 161.

The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series tackles an oval track for the second time in as many weeks at Delaware (Ont.) Speedway. The EMCO 200 presented by Niagara Plumbing Supply and McKeough Supply is set for Saturday, June 23 at 8 p.m. ET.

Saavedra last ran Firestone Indy Lights at Iowa Speedway in 2010, where he started on the pole and led every lap to win the race. He also raced at the short oval last year as part of the IZOD IndyCar Series, but was involved in a crash and did not complete the race.

Following a season in which he visited Victory Lane three times, including at Langley Speedway, Sergio Peña expected to be a championship contender in 2012. As the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East returns to Langley this week, Peña hopes to repeat his previous success there and get one step closer to title contention.
