In the first practice ahead of Wednesday night’s Velocity Prairie Thunder 250 at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway, it’d be Scott Steckly topping the charts with a lap of 14.866 seconds.

The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 has seen its championship decided by final margins of three and two points the last two years. As the 2015 season reaches the halfway mark, the trend looks to continue.

The Iowa Corn Indy 300 will mark the sixth event for Rahal Letterman Lanigan (RLL) Racing at Iowa Speedway. The best finish for the team is third in 2007 by Scott Sharp who also earned the top start for the team of fourth the same year. Prior to the 2015 event, the team prepared a total of seven entries for drivers Scott Sharp (2007), Jeff Simmons (2007), Ryan Hunter-Reay (2008), Takuma Sato (2012) Graham Rahal (2013-2014) and James Jakes (2013).

There have been eight different winners in 12 Verizon IndyCar Series races in 2015: Juan Pablo Montoya (Streets of St. Petersburg and Indianapolis 500), James Hinchcliffe (NOLA Motorsports Park), Scott Dixon (Streets of Long Beach and Texas Motor Speedway), Josef Newgarden (Barber Motorsports Park and Streets of Toronto), Will Power (Grand Prix of Indianapolis), Carlos Munoz (Raceway at Belle Isle-1), Sebastien Bourdais (Raceway at Belle Isle-2 and Milwaukee) and Graham Rahal (Auto Club Speedway).

The 2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 will conclude its annual western swing with the Velocity Prairie Thunder 250 on Wednesday at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Austin Hill, a 21 year old driver from Georgia and member of the NASCAR Next Class of 2015, will be taking his next step by racing in New Hampshire in the K&N Pro Series East race this weekend. Hill is racing full time in that series, as well as competing for the championship in his family-owned team.

Leading the majority of the laps and having the whole field a lap down, Sebastien Bourdais was the class of the field en route to scoring the victory in the ABC Supply Co. Inc. Wisconsin 250 at the Milwaukee Mile.

Scott Steckly didn’t leave any room for doubt and showed once again how good he can be on oval tracks.

Fans are invited to mingle with the stars of the Verizon IndyCar Series during the 2015 INDYCAR Championship Celebration on Monday, Aug. 31 at the historic Nob Hill Masonic Center in downtown San Francisco.

Following a dramatic, three-wide battling all race long event at Auto Club Speedway, the Verizon IndyCar Series will return to the track this weekend with the ABC Supply Co. Inc. Wisconsin 250 at Milwaukee IndyFest. With the oval being shorter and less banked, the racing should be more tame with less three-wide racing, but still highly competitive with the depth of competition in the field.
