As the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series opened up the annual western Canadian swing St. Thomas, ON driver DJ Kennington and the #17 Castrol Edge Dodge team were looking to keep their hot streak intact at round number five at MotoPlex Speedway near Vernon, BC.

Ron Beauchamp Jr. and the #60 Mopar Parts/Exide Batteries/Mobil 1 Dodge team shined at the Motoplex Speedway yesterday, setting a new track qualifying record and clocking in with another solid top 10 finish.

Martin Roy began the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series swing through western Canada with a sensational result in round number five on the season. In a brand new racecar the Napierville, Quebec native collected his first ever series top ten finish in the #90 Veloce/Gamache Truck Centre Dodge and extended his lead in the rookie point’s battle.

Jason White and his #21 A&W Dodge ran his best-ever series finish in front of his hometown crowd yesterday at the Motoplex Speedway, headlined by his vehicle’s sponsor, at the A&W Cruisin’ the Dub 300.

White put on a show for the fans with a solid qualifying effort and his second top ten finish at the track in as many years.

Sherwood Park, Alberta’s Noel Dowler registered his third consecutive top ten finish in the #5 EMCO Dodge Saturday night during round number five of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series at MotoPlex Speedway near Vernon, BC. Once again the 19 year old showed he is now ready to take the next step in his racing career.

Jarrad Whissell had his hands full at yesterday’s race at the Motoplex Speedway, battling transmission and handling issues behind the wheel of his #44 SMS/Komatsu Ford which ended his night earlier than expected.

Friday night’s running of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Prairie Meadows 200 at Iowa Speedway started off on a high note for Venturini Motorsports with series point’s leader, Brennan Poole, earning his third career ARCA Menards Pole by Ansell Award while teammates Ryan Reed and Erik Jones turned in solid qualifying efforts locking down the third and sixth spots on the starting grid.

The first night race, and one-day show, of 2012 offered plenty of changing factors for teams at the Iowa Speedway, and Frank Kimmel returned to the top five with a 5th place finish at the night's end.

Venturini Motorsports, in its 30th Anniversary Season of ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards championship stock car racing, is heading home to celebrate. The family-owned team, which grew its roots in Chicago, Illinois, has entered five cars for the upcoming Ansell ActivArmr 150 at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday night, July 21.
