Legendary NASCAR drivers and musical stars will appear on the Xfinity Stage in Victory Plaza as part of Dover International Speedway’s FREE 50th Anniversary Bash for fans on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday afternoon, Chase Elliott took the No. 9 to Gatorade Victory Lane at Talladega Superspeedway in the GEICO 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series for his first ‘Dega win. The last time the iconic number was in Gatorade Victory Lane, another Elliott was behind the wheel, Chase’s father Bill, in 1987.

Actor Josh McDermitt, best known for his role as a series regular on AMC’s record-breaking hit series The Walking Dead, will serve as an Honorary Official for the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway today, April 28.

Todd Gilliland (No. 4 Frontline Enterprises Toyota) earned his second career ARCA Menards Series victory in Friday’s General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway. Gilliland, who is a full-time driver in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series for Kyle Busch Motorsports, took the lead after the first caution period of the race on lap 43 and led to the checkered.

Talladega Superspeedway is ready to crank up the excitement for this weekend’s motorsports tripleheader, announcing the lineup for pre-race dignitaries for the GEICO 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event, the MoneyLion 300 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the ARCA Menards Series’ General Tire 200.

Norman Reedus, star of the hit AMC television series The Walking Dead as well as the unscripted program,Ride with Norman Reedus, will lead the field to green as the Honorary Pace Car Driver for the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway this Sunday, April 28.

Since 2010, the spring Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races at Talladega Superspeedway, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, have shown what the world’s largest and greatest track is all about – 200 mph speeds, three- and four-wide, 10 rows deep competition and absolute nail-biting, close finishes by a matter of feet, sometimes even inches.
