New England Patriots wide receiver and Super Bowl LIII MVP Julian Edelman has been named the Honorary Starter for the 61st annual DAYTONA 500 on Feb. 17 at Daytona International Speedway. Edelman will wave the green flag for “The Great American Race,” the season-opening event for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (TV – FOX, FOX Deportes; Radio – MRN, Sirius XM).

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt will become the first NFL player to give the command to start engines at the DAYTONA 500 when he serves as Grand Marshal for the 61st running of “The Great American Race” on Sunday at Daytona International Speedway (TV – FOX, FOX Deportes; Radio – MRN, Sirius XM).

In advance of the 61st running of the DAYTONA 500, which will take place on Sunday, February 17, NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace spent Friday in Miami learning about South Florida’s African-American history. Wallace’s visit began at the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater where he met with Executive Director Timothy Barber, who led Wallace on a tour of historic Overtown.

Billy Gilman — “The Voice” sensation and singer of the hit single “One Voice” — will sing the National Anthem before the start of the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 on February 24.

Five new performers have been added to “The Great Pocono Raceway Air Show” lineup. Tickets, including a newly-introduced 4-pack, are available for purchase. Kids, ages 6 and under, are FREE and children, ages 7 to 12, are half priced.
