Due to inclement weather, Friday’s on-track activity has been moved to Sunday; the Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina will be moved to Sunday at 11 a.m.; Saturday’s Bank of America 500, the only Saturday night race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, will begin at 7 p.m.

NASCAR’s 13-time Most Popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr., has always referred to Talladega Superspeedway as somewhat of a second home. And why not - he has won six times at the historic venue, only to follow his father, Dale Earnhardt Sr., who holds the track record of ten victories. Dale Jr. and the Earnhardt name also have an incredible connection with the original Alabama Gang – Bobby & Donnie Allison, and Red Farmer.

Atlanta Motor Speedway will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1992 Hooters 500 Cup Series race, known as one of the greatest NASCAR races of all time, in which racing legend and NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty made his final career start, with a special ticket offer and exclusive race-day experience for the first 500 fans who take advantage.

“I am honored and very excited to drive the pace car for Federated Auto Parts 400 race. I’m a huge race fan and being on the track and leading these drivers to the green flag for the start is an awesome opportunity!” said Stapleton.

Highlighting the ceremonies will be the United States Marine Band. Established by an Act of Congress in 1798, “The President’s Own” is America’s oldest continuously active professional musical organization, and will be performing the National Anthem on Saturday night.
