One of the most successful and iconic drivers in the history of NASCAR will be back behind the wheel for Sunday’s Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 at Martinsville Speedway. And, as he was most of his career, he will be leading the pack.

For Denny Hamlin, the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 at Martinsville Speedway couldn’t come at a more perfect time in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

When talking about the favorites to win the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 at Martinsville Speedway, Carl Edwards’ name is not one that immediately jumps out. However, the driver of the No. 99 Ford feels like he has as good of a shot as anyone to win on Oct. 26.

Eight drivers enter the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 at Martinsville Speedway Sunday afternoon with a shot at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship.

Whether it’s before the race or during it, Martinsville Speedway prides itself on getting fans as close to the action as possible and the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 on Oct. 26 will be no exception.

Brad Keselowski went from the brink of elimination to having a spot in the Eliminator Round of NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup. Fresh off his must-needed win at Talladega, Keselowski now has his sights set on the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 at Martinsville Speedway on Oct. 26.

On Sept. 27, 1964 Fred Lorenzen won at Martinsville Speedway. His prize for crossing the finish line first – a grandfather clock. It was then NASCAR’s most iconic trophy was born.

They say the best relationships are formed over time, and two of the longest in NASCAR are the ones Richard Petty has formed with Goody’s® and Martinsville Speedway. The three will come together Oct. 26 as Petty has been named Grand Marshal of the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500.

Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber announced today that DAV (Disabled American Veterans) will be recognized as the title sponsor of the track’s November NASCAR Nationwide Series race. The DAV 200 – Honoring America’s Veterans will be the featured event on the third day of PIR’s Veterans Day race weekend.

Close quarters, full-contact action is something mixed martial arts star Miesha Tate does every time she steps into the octagon. Martinsville Speedway is also no stranger to close quarters, full-contact action. The two will come together when the Sprint Cup Series returns to the iconic half-mile track on Oct. 26.
