NASCAR Truck Series

Ray Black Jr. will make his fourth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start on Friday in the Lucas Oil 225 as he takes the wheel of the No. 08 ScubaLife/NASE Worldwide Silverado for SS Green Light Racing at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, IL.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to the Windy City for some Friday night racing under the lights at Chicagoland Speedway. Chicagoland was one of the five tracks Ben Kennedy made a NCWTS start at in 2013. In last year's event, Kennedy earned a 12th-place starting spot before bringing his Chevrolet Silverado home in the 16th position.

"I'm looking forward to heading to Chicagoland Speedway and getting back on an oval. It's always good when you can go back to a track you've raced at before, because it eliminates the learning curve you have anytime you go somewhere new. I really enjoyed racing at this track last year and we're bringing a brand-new truck with us.

Red Horse Racing announced today that they will display a special decal on the Nos. 17 and 77 Toyota Tundras at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events at Chicagoland Speedway (Sept. 12), New Hampshire Motor Speedway (Sept. 20) and Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Sept. 27) in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Germán Quiroga pilots the No. 77 Toyota Tundra and was the first Mexican driver to compete full time in any of NASCAR's national touring series.

NASCAR revised its national series qualifying format for Talladega Superspeedway which, in turn, should elevate the on-track competition for fans at the high speed 2.66-mile track.

Following a pair of poor finishes, Ryan Blaney headed to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park this past weekend in hopes of getting his season turned around to challenge for the championship as the series heads into the latter part of the season.

Turner Scott Motorsports announced today that it has taken the regrettable but necessary steps to layoff 18 employees company-wide as a result of ending operations of the No. 30 NCWTS team and in order to remain competitive throughout the remainder of the 2014 season.

German Quiroga gave it all that he had, but it'd be Ryan Blaney edging him out at the line by 0.049 seconds to score the victory in the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park on Sunday afternoon.

Alex Tagliani won the Keystone Light Pole Award and set a new track qualifying record at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with a lap of 80.558 seconds at 109.889 mph. As he leads the field to green in Sunday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 race, he will also be making his debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

When NASCAR announced that the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was coming to Canada, I couldn't contain myself as a Canadian fan. I knew right from the announcement that it'd be great to be able to see the trucks in my own backyard (only two hours from my hometown) and get the experience up close to them that so many fans down south know too well.
