RIGHT ON TRACK: A return to Pocono Raceway for John Wes Townley is one he looks forward too. Townley captured his highest finishing position (eighth) at the 2.5-mile track during the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event last year. This year the Red Horse Racing driver tied his best finishing position at Charlotte Motor Speedway and credits it to his No. 7 Zaxby's Toyota Tundra team.

There was wall scrapping, door slamming, dirt flying and not a single fan sitting at Eldora Speedway Wednesday night. NASCAR had finally gone back home to where it all began; they returned to dirt. After a 43 year hiatus, no one knew what to expect but everyone believed that it would be spectacular.

The Mudsummer Classic Camping World Truck Series race at Eldora Speedway Wednesday night was everything a race fan loves. It wasn’t the biggest or the fastest but it showcased the best racing action that NASCAR has to offer.

Austin Dillon won the Inaugural Mudsummer Classic for his fifth victory in 53 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races. Kyle Larson, Ryan Newman, Joey Coulter and Brendan Gaughan rounded out the top 5.

Austin Dillon would get by Kyle Larson while in lap traffic to take the win in the Mud Summer Classic at Eldora Speedway.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is going back to it's roots by returning to the dirt on a Wednesday night. Though NASCAR history was also made when Ken Schrader scored the pole for the Mid Summer Classic, becoming the oldest NASCAR pole sitter at the age of 58.

Wauters Motorsports announced today that they have teamed with Jason Bowles and Valvoline Premium Blue for the inaugural running of the Mudsummer Classic at Eldora Speedway - the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on dirt - on Wednesday, July 24, 2013.

When the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) makes its debut on the dirt at Eldora Speedway, several drivers in the series will also make their debut off the asphalt. Dakoda Armstrong, however, is not among that group. Possessing a wealth of knowledge on the dirt from his background rich in open wheel racing, Armstrong knows a thing or two about racing on the dirt.
