Pennzoil® and Speedway Motorsports Incorporated Announce Long-Term Extension of Pennzoil 400 Entitlement at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Nashville, December 1, 2022 − Today, leaders from Pennzoil and Speedway Motorsports Incorporated (SMI) announced a long-term continuation of the Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS). The successful entitlement that first began in 2018, will continue to headline the 1.5-mile speedway’s NASCAR race in March.

“The Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was an opportunity to build on our NASCAR heritage and start a new chapter in one of America’s most popular motorsports series,” said Bree Sandlin, Vice President, Shell Lubricants North America Marketing. “We’re grateful for the support and collaboration from SMI and the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships within the motorsports industry, with customers, and with some of the most loyal fans in all of sports – NASCAR fans. It also doesn’t hurt that two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Joey Logano, has won the Pennzoil 400 twice in his No. 22 Pennzoil Ford Mustang.”

Over the last five years, the race has traditionally hosted one of the first four events of the year, when fans are excited to cheer on a new seasons of NASCAR racing. In addition, the Pennzoil 400 has headlined a triple-header event with the NASCAR Camping World Truck and NASCAR Xfinity Series races occurring earlier in the weekend.

“Pennzoil and its Jiffy Lube brand have been amazing partners since they first came on board for our March NASCAR Cup Series race in 2018,” said LVMS President Chris Powell. “Today’s announcement is a testament to the strong relationship we have formed. Pennzoil has become synonymous with our spring NASCAR weekend, and we’re grateful to carry the Pennzoil name on that race for years to come.”

“At Pennzoil, our purpose is to progress engine protection and performance for drivers everywhere,” said Sandlin. “Las Vegas is a valued market for Pennzoil with significant brand activations around NASCAR and SEMA and in recent years the Pennzoil 400 consistently has some of the highest TV ratings and traditionally sell-out crowds, enabling our brand to have maximum exposure to race fans,” added Sandlin.

SEXTON GATLIN RACING WINS ALL THREE NIGHTS OF HANGTOWN 100 AT PLACERVILLE

(Lakeside, CA, November 29, 2022) Sexton Gatlin Racing drivers Grant Sexton and AJ Bender combined to win all three nights of the prestigious Hangtown 100 at the Placerville Speedway. In addition to the victories, SGR drivers also had two second-place finishes. The performances gave the Lakeside, California-based team five of the nine trophies passed out to lightning sprint car drivers in the three nights of action on the famous red clay banked quarter-mile oval.

Night #1

After making the trek up from the Bakersfield Speedway on Wednesday, SGR had four drivers ready to rumble on Thursday night. They were met by 22 other top drivers in cars from the California Lightning Sprint Car Series and Northern California’s BCRA. Soon to be 20-year-old Dalton Sexton got the ball rolling in qualifying when he turned in the second fastest time at 13.523. San Diego’s AJ Bender, who recorded three second-place finishes at Placerville for SGR at last year’s Hangtown, was the third-fast qualifier at 13.541. 18-year-old Grant Sexton was seventh quick at 13.894 and family patriarch Brent Sexton turned in the 10th quickest time when he stopped the clocks at 13.966.

The first eight-lap heat race at the three-day dirt racing fest saw Grant finish second after starting fourth. Brent started one spot ahead of his youngest offspring in the same heat and placed fifth. Dalton had no family members to deal with in heat race #2. The second fastest qualifier started sixth in that eight-lapper and finish eighth. SGR wrapped up its participation in the heat races when Bender came from sixth to second in heat race #3.

When the cars rolled down the hill to the racetrack for the 25-lap main event, 2021 POWRi Southwest Lightning Sprint Car Series champion Grant was starting on the pole. Bender was starting on the outside of the second row. Dalton was on the inside of row five and Brent had the worst starting spot for the team coming from the outside of the eighth row. Grant set the pace for the first six laps of the race. However, Bender had worked his way up to second, and just before a red flag due to a driver getting upside down, he relieved Grant of the top spot.

Bender’s tenure at the point only lasted three laps before another car drove underneath him for the lead in turn three. However, the new leader bit the cushion in turn two on the 11th circuit handing the lead back to Bender and allowing Grant to move up to second. Grant immediately closed in on Bender and started dogging him for the lead. He tried to race by on the inside on lap 17, but Bender fended off the advances. The teen kept the heat on and it looked as though it would be a fight to the finish, but Grant had issues with the turn two cushion on lap 21 and allowed Bender to pull away for a convincing win four laps later. Grant ended up second with Brent 12th and Dalton 15th.

“I totally forgot about last year, so thanks for reminding me,” Bender laughed when talented USAC mic man Drake York asked him about his feelings after finally winning following three runner-up finishes in 2021. “It is cool. I am finally glad to get one because running second three times sucked. The car is a little off and we are trying to figure it out. It is the first time I am in it. I have to give a big shout-out to Phil and Wyatt (Boczanowski). Wyatt drives it and Phil owns the car. They let the SGR team bring it up here so I could drive it. We were doing homework on it trying to figure it out. We still have some stuff to work on. This one pays less. I want to win the one on Saturday. I have to thank Phil and Wyatt again, the whole SGR team, and my wife and daughter at home.”

Night #2

Like the first night, 26 cars showed up for night number two of the Hangtown 100, and qualifying was the first thing on the agenda. A bad omen for the competition came when Thursday night winner Bender outqualified the field with a time of 13.341. Grant was the second quickest of the SGR cars when he timed in fourth fast at 13.644. Dalton’s lap of 13.884 was good for the 14th spot and Brent, at 14.321, was 19th.

The first eight-lap heat race on night #2 included three SGR drivers. They were Grant, who started fifth, Bender who started alongside his young teammate and Brent who was coming from seventh. The youngster got the best of his two teammates when he finished second in the heat. Brent advanced his position four spots to finish third and Bender ended up fourth. Dalton was up in the next heat race and was off the outside of the front row. Unfortunately, he ended up placing fifth. That meant he did not transfer straight into the A main and would have to run the semi. He was off the pole to start the semi and ended up third. That was good enough to punch his ticket into the main event with his three teammates.

Much to the chagrin of the competition, Bender was beginning the 25-lap main event on the outside of the second row. Grant was on the inside of row two with Brent beginning on the outside of the fifth row. Dalton, due to having to run the B main, started 17th.

Bender did not lead the first lap in his sleek, black #22 car but coming off turn #4 on the second circuit he took the top spot away and was basically unchallenged for the remainder of the race. He had few problems throughout the race with the exception of the lapped traffic at the very end but by that time he had established a huge lead and once again won by nearly ½ straight away. Brent charged up five spots in the main for his best finish of the weekend when he came home fifth. Grant, who later said he missed the setup on the night, ended up sixth and Dalton charged from 17th all the way up to 10th.

“Once I got in lapped traffic, I could hear cars everywhere so I was not sure where they (his closest pursuers) were at,” he told the crowd after the race. “I was really thinking it was going to be on the top, but it just kept working on the bottom. I just kind of stuck to my guns there. Its not the funnest going around the bottom for 25 laps, but it is fun talking to you at the end of the night. I will take it. Again like last night, I have to thank Phil and Wyatt (Boczanowski). This car is a rocket ship. They are trying to sell it so I am trying to make it look good. I have to thank Seth (crew chief Seth Kramer), Nita (Nita Gatlin from SGR), Brent (Brent Sexton from SGR), and all the SGR people for putting up with me. Seth is a one-man team overlooking four cars. So, he is earning his money. Thank you to my wife and daughter at home and to my family.”

Night #3

The final chilly night rolled around and the format was a bit different. There was no qualifying and no heat races. There were two 12-lap qualifiers lined up by points from the previous two nights. The way the drivers finished those qualifiers would determine where they started in the main event. There was also a last chance B main for the final starting spots in the 30-lap finale. Bender started on the pole for the first qualifier and ended up finishing third. That earned him a ticket straight into the last lightning sprint car race in California in 2022. Dalton was in the same qualifier, but he finished 10th after starting 7th which meant he had to go to the B main. Grant and Brent were in the second qualifier. Grant started on the pole and won the race and Brent started 4th and stayed there for the duration.

To get into the 30-lap main, Dalton was going to have to do some work in this semi. He was starting 9th and that meant he had to move forward. That is just what he did as he advanced four spots to finish in the fifth-place position.

Bender was on the outside of the front row for the main, That was a bad omen for the competition. Grant was coming from fifth. Brent had his colorful #44 in the eighth starting spot for the last race of the year with Dalton beginning in 15th.

After witnessing his winning performances on the first two nights, many in the crowd were surprised that Bender wasn’t leading going into turn number one. However, he eased their shock when he raced into the lead. Many in the crowd probably thought they were in for a snore fest once the 29-year-old commandeered the top spot. As it turned out it was anything but that.

Unfortunately, things did not go quite as well for newly crowned 2022 POWRi Southwest Lightning Sprint Car Series champion Brent. On lap four, a car clipped the inside berm and flipped. In the ensuing scramble caused by the tumbling car, Brent got clobbered by another competitor and knocked out of the race.

Bender led eight go arounds but got surprised when another car shot by him and stole the lead. That lasted for about 2 laps before Bender chased the new leader down and retook the top spot. Soon thereafter, chilly fans in the grandstands noticed Grant streaking toward the front. This one was about to get exciting in a hurry.

Even though he had retaken the lead, Bender, who was running the top, had his hands full with another driver who was rolling the bottom to perfection and battling hard for the lead. After several advances by his foe, Bender dipped to the low side of the track slowing his pursuer down. By that time though, he was about to have something else to worry about as Grant was coming on like a runaway freight train.

Much to the delight of the fans, Grant was pounding the cushion in a daring display that was reminiscent of his spectacular win at the Bakersfield Speedway on March 25th. The teen slid into second on the 18th circuit. The yellow came out two laps later and Grant was glued to Bender’s rear end for the restart. The race only got one more lap completed before another yellow flag came out. However, Grant had inched ahead of Bender at the conclusion of that lap. That put the teen in first place with nine laps to go.

Once the race began again, Bender launched a ferocious attack. For three straight laps, he dove to the bottom going into one and slid up the track only to find Grant alongside. Up against the cushion, the youngster would beat him back to turn three. Bender went to the top in one and two on lap 25 and it appeared that the fight was over and Grant was going to cruise to the victory. He moved away to a one-second lead and seemingly had everything under control. But somebody forgot to inform Bender. With two laps to go he came storming toward the front once again. On both lap 29 and lap 30, he threw massive slide jobs on his teammate trying to tear the lead away. But the kid held tough and went on to score a crowd-pleasing victory. Bender ended up second with Dalton coming home in the 12th spot. Brent getting clobbered by someone else saw him get credit for 20th.

“Everyone was around the bottom and I knew I wasn’t going to get them by following,” Sexton told the appreciative crowd. “Guess my balls were feeling a little swollen tonight because we were rippin’ the top. Honestly, trying to earn myself a midget ride out here and prove I am a driver. I couldn’t have done it without Seth (crew chief Seth Kramer), and everyone working on my cars, my dad, and my Nana. AJ, he’s taught me so much about racing with him. I hate to take his sweep away, but man, that felt good. I am always trying to beat that guy.”

“I think we missed the set up a little bit,” second-place finisher Bender told the fans. “I wasn’t expecting it to be this dry so I made some last-minute choices. I think they were a little off. Grant railed around me and I was like, ‘dang I gotta’ get up there and start doing it.’ I am glad Grant got it, and SGR is one and two and we get some more trophies to add.”

DRIFTING RETURNS TO SOUTH BOSTON SPEEDWAY IN 2023; SOBO DRIFTS KICKS OFF SPEEDWAY’S 2023 SCHEDULE OF SPECTATOR EVENTS

South Boston Speedway

SOUTH BOSTON, VA…Riding on the momentum of a successful 2022 season debut, drifting will return to South Boston Speedway on Saturday afternoon, March 4, 2023.

The SoBo Drifts event will mark the first spectator event of the 2023 season at South Boston Speedway.

“We had a great time at our two drifting events this season and we’re looking forward to welcoming it back in 2023,” said South Boston Speedway General Manager Chase Brashears.

“We made some substantial improvements from the first drifting event to the second drifting event this past season, and the participants and spectators really enjoyed it. Drifting has become a part of our business, so our team is committed to making it bigger and better for the March date as well as other potential dates in 2023 and beyond.”

Drifting is one of the fastest-growing forms of motorsports. Its popularity skyrocketed following the release of the movie “The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift” in 2006. That movie involved car culture and street racing in its background and featured numerous exciting drifting sequences.

For those unfamiliar with the sport of drifting, the driver intentionally oversteers a car’s rear wheels forcing them to lose traction, while maintaining control of the vehicle with the car’s front wheels.

Drivers will weave and slide their way through a course that will run primarily through the infield portion of the speedway while also including a portion of the oval track. Using both the infield area and a portion of the oval track allows participants to produce a good level of speed while tackling both left-hand and right-hand twists and turns.

Spectators may view the event from the speedway’s trackside tailgating areas and the lawn chair area in turns three and four. Individuals should plan to bring their lawn chairs as most of the grandstand areas will be closed.

Additional details about the event will be announced at a later date.

The pace of the 2023 season picks up quickly following the March 4 SoBo Drifts event. On the following weekend, Saturday, March 11, 2023, South Boston Speedway will hold its annual pre-season testing event, a day on which the region’s racing teams will have the opportunity to get some track time and prepare for the speedway’s opening NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series event to be held on Saturday afternoon, March 18, 2023.

South Boston Speedway’s four NASCAR racing divisions, the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Late Model Stock Car Division, the Budweiser Limited Sportsman Division, the Southside Disposal Pure Stock Division, and the Virginia State Police HEAT Hornets Division, will be in action in the March 18 opener.

A total of 13 racing events are currently in place on the track’s 2023 season schedule. Additional details regarding the 2023 schedule will be announced at a later date.

South Boston Speedway has announced off-season office hours for the month of December. The schedule follows:
• Dec. 5-7 – Open 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Dec. 8-9 – Closed
• Dec. 12-14 – Open 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Dec. 15-Jan. 2 – Closed for Christmas & New Year’s Break

The latest news and updates from South Boston Speedway are available on the speedway’s website, southbostonspeedway.com, and through the track’s social media channels. Information may also be obtained by phoning the speedway at 434-572-4947 or toll free at 1-877-440-1540 during business hours.

Kaizen Clean Energy becomes Extreme E’s Official Clean Energy Technology Provider

30 November 2022, London: Sport for purpose electric racing series, Extreme E, has today announced Kaizen Clean Energy (KCE) as its Official Clean Energy Technology Provider for Season 3, starting in 2023.

Kaizen Clean Energy will support ENOWA, NEOM’s energy, water and hydrogen subsidiary, and Green Hydrogen Power Partner to Extreme E, in delivering a pioneering hydrogen microgrid solution to the championship.

Kaizen Clean Energy’s system is perfectly aligned with Extreme E’s needs. Their unique hydrogen production and purification technology will enable Extreme E to charge its race fleet and support the series’ goals to take its entire event operations power off grid with 100% carbon neutral hydrogen energy – which will be a first in motorsport.”

KCE will be manufacturing, integrating, and deploying their hydrogen production systems from their facility in Texas for use in microgrid power, hydrogen fueling, and industrial hydrogen supply starting in the first quarter of 2023.

Robert Meaney, Co-Founder of Kaizen Clean Energy, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Extreme E to help charge their fleet and power their event operations using locally generated 100% clean energy.

“KCE is committed to supporting Extreme E’s vision for an equitable and environmentally beneficial racing series using our microgrid technology to provide safe, economically viable, and logistically friendly method for off grid hydrogen infrastructure.”

Heading into its third season, Extreme E is a radical off-road racing series which showcases electric SUVs and futuristic technologies in some of the world’s most remote and challenging environments.

This five-event global voyage utilises its sporting platform for the purpose of promoting electrification, environment and equality. The series’ goal is to highlight the impact of climate change in some of the world’s most endangered environments, promote the adoption of electric vehicles to pave the way for a lower carbon future, and provide a world-leading gender-equal motorsport platform.

The St Helena, a refitted former Royal Mail ship, transports the Championship’s freight and logistics, including the racing cars and all paddock infrastructure, around the world, as a lower carbon transportation option compared to airfreight.

Kaizen Clean Energy’s technical partnership supports Extreme E’s goal of having the lowest carbon footprint in motorsport, and crucially creating minimal local impact on the environments in which it races.

EDDIE TAFOYA JR. POSTS A CAREER-BEST THIRD-PLACE FINISH IN USAC/CRA SERIES POINT STANDINGS

(Chino, CA, November 26, 2022) When the Heimark Anheuser-Busch Budweiser Oval Nationals closed the 2022 season at Perris Auto Speedway earlier this month, Eddie Tafoya Jr. ended up a career-best third place in the 2022 USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series championship standings. The outcome was five spots better than his previous career best of eighth place in 2021.

The biggest key to Tafoya’s prowess in 2022 was his consistency. The Specialty Fasteners hauler pulled up into racetracks 24 times this year. Every single time, the Chino Hills, California racer started the A main event. Those 24 races took place on nine different racetracks in 3 different states (California, Arizona, and South Dakota).

Of the 24 main events he started, Tafoya finished in the top ten 13 times. Of the 13, six were top five. His best finish of the campaign was a second-place result on January 29th at the Cocopah Speedway. He recorded a third at the Mohave valley Raceway on April 24th and placed fourth at Perris on June 25th.

By contrast, the team appeared at 29 races in 2021 and made the A main 17 times. He finished in the top ten on six occasions. Four of the six top 10s in 2021 were in the top five. His best finish of that season was a third at Perris in July.

Tafoya, the 2018 Perris Auto Speedway Young Guns champion and 2019 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year, finished off his 2022 season with the two biggest events on the USAC/CRA schedule. First up came the Western World Championships at the Cocopah Speedway near Yuma, Arizona. That was followed by the Oval Nationals at Perris the first weekend in November. Each of those race weekends saw the 25-year-old not only squaring off with the best that USAC/CRA has to offer but also the finest drivers from the National Series as well. They were tough main events to make but the handsome 25-year-old did so every time.

Going into those final five races, Tafoya was 17 points out of third place and 25 points out of second. By the time he left Arizona and headed to Perris, he had taken over third place and only trailed the second-place driver by 18 points. When the final checkered flag of the season closed the campaign, he had sewed up third place and was only 21 points out of the runner-up spot.

The 2023 schedule should be out soon. It is safe to say that Tafoya will continue his rise in the sport and will be a contender for the 2023 USAC/CRA championship. During the off-season, Tafoya, and the Specialty Fasteners #51T team, will be prepping for that very important campaign. In addition to the work on the cars in the shop, the team will be busy exploring corporate partnership opportunities for the upcoming campaign. If you or your company would like to be a partner with the Specialty Fasteners team in 2023, please contact Eddie Tafoya Jr. via phone at (909) 393-3999 or by e-mail at mailto:teamtafoya@aol.com. He will be happy to talk to you and lay out the team’s plans.

Tafoya’s great-looking shirts and hoodies will make great Christmas presents for the special racing fans on your Christmas list. They are available online at www.specialty-fasteners.com.

How Best To Handle A Car Accident Scenario

If you are ever involved in a car accident, it is important to know what to do. There are certain steps that you need to take in order to ensure your safety and the safety of those around you. This blog post will discuss the best way to handle a car accident scenario. Stay calm and follow these tips!

Exchange Information

It’s very important to have all the documents needed for the case lined up. You need to gather all the accident claims information which includes the other driver. Approach them after the accident, exchanging your personal and insurance information. You will need to provide your name, driver’s license number, car registration number, and insurance policy details.

You may also want to exchange contact numbers for further communication and discussion about the case. If the other party does not cooperate with exchanging information or refuses to leave behind their contact information, you can contact the police and inform them of the situation. The law requires drivers to exchange information following an accident, so make sure you have done this before leaving the scene.

Get The Police Involved

You should report the accidents to the authorities who will then come out to the scene and take the necessary measures to handle the situation. It is crucial that you get the police involved in any car accident, no matter how minor it may seem. The police will document all pertinent details surrounding the incident and collect evidence before completing a report which can be used for insurance claims or future legal proceedings.

When getting law enforcement to your crash site, make sure to provide them with a full and accurate picture of the situation. Supply witnesses who can back up your version of events if possible, as well as any facts you have gathered such as insurance information, contact numbers, or license plate numbers.

Talk To Witnesses

Credible witness testimony can be a lot of help in determining who was at fault in a car accident. Although talking to witnesses may not be the first thing on your mind after an accident, it’s important to talk to anyone that may have seen what happened. Doing so can provide valuable insight and help you understand how the incident occurred.

If you see someone nearby who saw the accident take place, don’t hesitate to ask them what they witnessed. Make sure to keep their contact information and take notes on the conversation if you can.

Document The Doctor’s Visits

Make sure to get every detail from your visits to the doctor. These are the following:

  • Medical records
  • X-rays, CT scans, and other tests
  • Prescription medications
  • Notes from the doctor regarding your condition
  • Receipts for any medical bills or expenses related to the
  • Doctor statements
  • Recovery reports

All these will come in handy when filing a claim for personal injury. In the event of an accident, documenting your doctor’s visits and any other medical expenses related to it will help build your case and provide evidence of your injuries.

Hire A Lawyer

A capable Tampa personal injury attorney will help you navigate the legal process and maximize your settlement after being involved in a car accident. The lawyer’s expertise can help ensure that you are adequately compensated for damages, injuries, lost wages, medical bills, and other expenses related to the accident.

For example, hiring a lawyer can help you accurately assess the worth of your claim. An experienced attorney will be able to review your case and determine a fair amount for compensation that includes potential future damages from long-term medical needs, lost wages, and other related costs.

Contact The Insurance Company

You need to get in touch with your insurance company as soon as possible after an accident. Your insurance representative can help you answer questions, provide information, and explain what is covered under your policy.

The insurance company will also be able to advise you on any immediate steps you need to take. Be sure to get the name of the claims adjuster handling your case, so that you can reach out with any questions or updates.

File The Claim

Once you’ve done all the things from above, it’s time to move on to filing the claim. The filing process can be done in different ways depending on your insurance company, but in general, you’ll need to provide certain documents and information to make sure that the filing process is successful.

Be timely in filing the claim as it may significantly affect your chances of getting a satisfactory resolution. There’s a time limit to filing a claim that varies by state and insurance company, so make sure you know what it is.

Car accidents are never pleasant, but you can make them less stressful by following these tips. Make sure to exchange information and call the police to the scene. Talk to the witnesses present and document all the visits you make to the doctor. Hire a lawyer to help you out and then get in touch with your insurance provider. Finally, file the claim in a proper and timely manner!

How To Successfully Handle A Family Traffic Accident

When you are in a car accident, the first thing you need to do is stay calm. This may be easier said than done, especially if there are injuries involved, but it is important to try and remain as level-headed as possible. In this blog post, we will walk you through the steps that you need to take to handle a family traffic accident effectively and ensure that everyone is safe and taken care of.

1. Get the right lawyer

The first step to successfully handling a family traffic accident is getting the right lawyer. Depending on the severity of the accident, you may need to enlist legal help to make sure that everyone’s rights are protected and that all necessary medical bills are paid. You should look for a car accident lawyer who has experience with cases similar to yours and can provide clear advice regarding your options. Also, if children are involved will a car accident case be different than if just adults are involved, so make sure to find a lawyer that is knowledgeable in that area as well. It is important to note that not all lawyers are the same, so do your research and find one who is a good fit for your family’s situation.

2. Gather evidence

In addition to finding an experienced attorney, another important step in effectively handling a family traffic accident is gathering evidence at the scene. This includes taking pictures of the accident scene, exchanging insurance and contact information with the other party involved, getting witness statements if possible, writing down notes about what happened, and obtaining a police report. All of this evidence will be essential in proving your case to any insurance companies or legal authorities that may become involved. Additionally, taking pictures of any visible injuries you or your family members sustained can also help to demonstrate the severity of the accident.

3. Prepare for potential court proceedings

Although it may not be necessary in every case, it is important to be ready for potential court proceedings in case they arise from your traffic accident. In these situations, having an experienced lawyer on your side who understands how to properly present evidence is invaluable. It is also recommended that you begin to compile documents that can be used as evidence in a court of law, such as receipts for medical bills or auto repair expenses, car rental agreements if necessary, and any other relevant documentation.

4. Know when to settle

In many cases, it may be in your best interest to settle with the other party involved outside of court. While this may seem daunting at first, settling out of court can save you time, money, and emotional stress by avoiding long court proceedings. Before deciding whether or not to pursue a settlement offer from an insurance company or another party involved in the accident, consult your attorney, who is familiar with all the details of the case and will help guide you through this process so that you can make an informed decision.

5. File the claim on time

Next, make sure to file your claim within the required time frame. Whether you are filing with an insurance company or a legal authority, different states will have varying deadlines for submitting claims and gathering evidence. Filing on time is critical because any documents that arrive late may not be accepted as evidence in court. The moments following a family traffic accident can be chaotic and overwhelming, but if you know what steps to take beforehand, it can help ensure that everyone involved is taken care of properly. It is important to do your research and be prepared for any potential legal or financial responsibilities that may arise in the wake of a traffic accident.

6. Follow up

Finally, following up with both your lawyer and the respective insurance companies is essential to making sure that everything is progressing smoothly. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and make sure all relevant parties are aware of any updates in the case. By staying on top of your case and following these steps, you can successfully handle a family traffic accident with as little stress as possible. Ultimately, if you or anyone in your family has been involved in a traffic accident, it is important to take strategic steps so that everyone is safe and taken care of.

By following these steps, you can successfully handle a family traffic accident and make sure that everyone is taken care of. Remember to stay calm, find the right lawyer, gather evidence at the scene, prepare for possible court proceedings, and know when to settle. With careful planning and thoughtfulness in all aspects of your case, you will be able to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible for you and your family.

Most Dangerous Intersections In America

Photo by Denys Nevozhai on Unsplash

From a statistical standpoint, driving is safer than ever before. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that traffic fatalities have dropped to their lowest point in history. Even so, auto accidents and the threat of collisions remain unfortunate realities for many drivers.

To ensure you make the most informed decisions regarding where and when to drive, we’ve compiled a list of the top most dangerous intersections in America.

1. Lalor Street and SR-129

This intersection experiences the most collisions per mile in the United States. It is also known as one of the most dangerous intersections in Florida, and it is listed on a list of “Florida’s Most Dangerous Intersections.”

There have been at least 120 accidents at this location since 2007. However, the most recent accident happened on March 2, 2013. But the intersection is still ranked number one on the list. So, it doesn’t matter if you’re Brad Pitt or Tonia Brock, stay safe on the road and be cautious here.

2. East Jersey Street and US-1&9

A car accident lawyer from New Jersey says: “The designation of East Jersey Street and US-1&9 as the second most dangerous intersection in the country raises significant concerns regarding public safety.”

This intersection ranks as the second most dangerous in the country. It is located in the city of Atlantic City, New Jersey, and is a major route for traffic traveling to and from the casinos on the boardwalk.

The intersection features three lanes of traffic, including two through lanes and one left-turn lane. It also features a large painted island at the center of the intersection. The island is designed to guide drivers through the intersection by making them aware of which lane they are supposed to be in.

Despite all of these safety measures, this area is still very dangerous for drivers due to the high volume of vehicles using it throughout every hour of every day. This fact also makes this intersection one of Atlantic City’s most dangerous intersections overall and one of its busiest intersections.

3. Massachusetts Ave and SR-70

Massachusetts Avenue and SR-70 is the second most dangerous intersection in America. This intersection was ranked fourth among the most dangerous intersections in 2009. According to a study from the University of Maryland, this intersection has been hit by more than 4,000 cars every year since 1990. In 2010 alone, a total of 28 crashes occurred at this location.

In 2009, there were seven crashes at this intersection, with one fatality and six injuries. Since then, four fatal collisions have occurred at this location in 2010. The first was a pedestrian struck by a car on December 16 who died from his injuries. The second was an elderly driver who collided with another vehicle on January 20 and later died from his injuries.

The third collision occurred on December 30 when two vehicles collided, resulting in one death and two injuries. The fourth fatality occurred on February 8 when the driver of a Nissan Altima lost control while making a left turn onto Massachusetts Avenue and crashed.

4. SR-360 and US-287: San Tan Valley, Arizona

This intersection ranks number 4 because it is a notoriously dangerous spot for motorists. SR-360 and US-287 are both major highways in the Phoenix-Mesa area. The problem is that they intersect at a sharp angle with no median barrier or shoulder to separate the two roads.

This makes it difficult for drivers to see oncoming traffic, especially in inclement weather. There are also no warning signs or flashing lights at this location; drivers must rely on their eyesight and judgment to make sure they do not collide with each other.

5. Grand Blvd and Montgomery St: Los Angeles, CA

Grand Blvd and Montgomery St are a dangerous Los Angeles, CA intersection. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), there are over 300 accidents yearly at this intersection alone. The most frequent accident type is rear-ended crashes.

Grand Blvd and Montgomery St have been named the most dangerous intersection in California by “The Daily Beast”. This intersection has been ranked as one of the most dangerous intersections in America for two years.

6. SR-132 Street Rd and SR-2019 Knights Rd

This intersection is located in the city of Scottsdale, Arizona. In 2014, there were 11 accidents with injuries and one fatality at this intersection. According to an article on AZCentral.com, “In 2015, there were four crashes with injuries and one fatal crash” at this intersection.

Also, the article on AZCentral.com states, “In 2016, there were six crashes with injuries and one fatal crash” at this intersection. The intersection has a posted speed limit of 35 MPH.

7. SR-46 and SR-83: Santa Clara, California

Traffic accidents are a concern for many drivers in this area. According to the California Highway Patrol, there were 629 reported collisions in 2014. Of these accidents, 50% of them resulted in injuries or fatalities. The CHP has been working to reduce the number of crashes and the severity of those that occur.

They installed a traffic signal and implemented new speed limits to improve safety at this intersection. These efforts have reduced the number of collisions by 70% over two years and reduced the severity of those that occur by 40%.

8. 4th Avenue and Holgate Street

This busy intersection is particularly dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians traveling alongside motorists in the area. So much so that according to an SDOT report, almost 10% of all traffic-related fatalities occurred within less than a mile of this crossway. It’s essential for victims of traffic accidents to understand what to do after the event. Otherwise, their injuries could get worse and their medical bills can pile up with no help in sight.

9. East Grand St and US-1&9:

In the past few years, two major construction projects have caused heavy congestion on this stretch of US-1. However, according to a local traffic expert, the intersection is not only dangerous but also the most dangerous in terms of crash rate. And as a result of these projects, the intersection has become one of the most dangerous in the state.

Driving is a dangerous activity, especially at intersections. It is important to be aware of the hazards and risks involved and how one can best reduce them. If you find yourself in an intersection accident, you can take action to reduce the risk of future accidents. Use the tips below, and always exercise caution and awareness.

The biggest danger to drivers is a crash at an intersection. A collision can result in serious injury or death. It is important that drivers understand the risks involved when driving through an intersection and practice safe driving habits at all times.

When approaching an intersection, it is important to slow down when you see the traffic light turning red and stop if you cannot go through the intersection safely. The extra seconds you will save can mean the difference between life and death.
