TAG Heuer Extends Partnership with INDYCAR, IMS

INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, April 14, 2022) – TAG Heuer – a pioneer in motorsports sponsorship for more than 50 years – has renewed its multiyear partnerships with INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The timepiece manufacturer will continue as the Official Watch, Timepiece, Chronograph and Smartwatch of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. TAG Heuer also will remain as a presenting sponsor of the Hulman Terrace Club hospitality suites at IMS.

TAG Heuer started its partnership with INDYCAR in 2014 and with the Indianapolis 500 and IMS in 2004.

“It’s a pleasure to continue this longstanding, mutually beneficial partnership with TAG Heuer, a brand so deeply rooted in motorsports and the tradition and values of INDYCAR and the Indy 500,” said Mark Miles, president and CEO of Penske Entertainment Corp., which owns INDYCAR and IMS. “TAG Heuer remains the ultimate reference in luxury chronograph watches, so it’s an ideal match for the high performance on display at every INDYCAR event, including the Indy 500.”

As part of the activation of its partnership, TAG Heuer will provide a special edition watch to the winning driver and chief mechanic of the Indianapolis 500 and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion driver. The Swiss watchmaker and luxury goods company also will produce a special edition Indy 500 watch, expected to launch to consumers this May. Details will be provided soon.

TAG Heuer branding also will continue to be visible around IMS, including high-visibility locations on the iconic IMS Pagoda and IMS Scoring Pylon year-round and on the retaining wall near the iconic Yard of Bricks start-finish line during the Month of May.

“With almost twenty years of history, it is a great pleasure for TAG Heuer to continue this remarkable partnership with INDYCAR,” said Benjamin Beaufils, president of the Americas at TAG Heuer. “INDYCAR and Indy 500 are mythical names in motor racing, and there is no better proving ground to demonstrate TAG Heuer’s passion and strong heritage in motorsport, and motto of ‘Don’t Crack Under Pressure’ than the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”

Our six concrete plants were strategically placed so that we could overlap our coverage area, making it easier for more than any one plant to service the same area or increase plant production on large-scale jobs.

This allows us to batch concrete at multiple plants for the same job if necessary or focus our services to local customers out of multiple locations should it be required.

Our resources are mostly locally purchased, with multiple locations able to utilize the same materials in an effort to keep our products consistent from one mix to the next.

“Everyone is slinging stuff and trying to find some speed and exploring how to improve the car in ways that you wouldn’t normally get to go about it when you’re at a normal NASCAR race. ZANE SMITH CARRYING MOMENTUM INTO SATURDAY NIGHT’S PINTY’S TRUCK RACE ON DIRT AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Cup Series regulars Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, Austin Dillon and Harrison Burton also will compete in Camping World Truck Series race

BRISTOL, Tenn. (April 13, 2022) – There was a point last year when Zane Smith wasn’t sure where he would be racing in 2022 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. After joining forces with Front Row Motorsports, that question has clearly been answered, and it’s at the front of the pack.

Smith has rocketed out to an amazing start this season at the controls of the No. 38 truck for East Tennessee-based team owner Bob Jenkins. With two victories he is at the top of the points standings, contending for victories and having a blast. He is one of the contenders to win Saturday night’s Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt at the dirt-transformed Bristol Motor Speedway (8 p.m., FS1, MRN Radio/Sirius XM NASCAR Radio).

Smith, who took over the ride after Todd Gilliland graduated to the Cup Series, says he feels right at home with his new team. They’ve scored victories at Daytona and COTA, posted a top five in Atlanta and won Las Vegas but were ultimately disqualified following post-race inspection due to a lug-nut violation. They finished ninth this past weekend in Martinsville.

“[We’re] making sure we were going to hit the ground running as fast as we could, and we’ve hit the ground sprinting,” Smith told NASCAR.com recently. “I feel like that’s a product of starting [off the year] good at Daytona. Everyone wants to just be rolling at the end of Daytona and it’s like your year is good. When you win Daytona, the rest don’t come easy by no means, but winning is as contagious as losing is. I feel like the communication and confidence in the team, it’s a lot more fun.”

Now the team faces one of its toughest tests of the regular season with the challenging half-mile clay-covered high-banked bullring. The dirt-covered track features 19 degrees of banking at its highest point and a 50-foot wide racing surface. The race will be split into three stages, with a 40-lap first, 50-lap second and a 60-lap final stage. Earlier on Saturday afternoon there will be four 15-lap heat races in Bush’s Beans Qualifying to set the starting lineup. The heat races will be filled by random draw.

Last year Smith finished seventh in the 150-lap race that Cup Series regular Martin Truex Jr. rallied to win. Smith is looking for a better result this year with the move to scheduling the race under the lights.

“I know Bristol dirt last year in the very beginning was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in a truck and then at the very end I didn’t have quite that much fun, just from the seeing concept of things,” Smith said, “but I’ve heard they’re trying to work out those bugs and make it a good show for us. I feel like we’re all kind of in the same boat there and I love that.”

This year that boat is also going to include four talented Cup Series regulars and a USAC champion. Cup stars Chase Elliott, Austin Dillon, Joey Logano and Harrison Burton will pull double-duty during the weekend, while USAC champ Buddy Kofoid also will join the fray.

Elliott announced Tuesday that he will enter the race driving the red-hot No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, while Dillon will pilot the No. 20 Young’s Motorsports Chevy. Logano will be driving the No. 54 truck for David Gilliland Racing and Cup rookie Burton has been named the driver of the DGR No. 17 machine for the race. USAC Midget Series champ Kofoid will pilot the No. 51 for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Logano won the Food City Dirt Race in the Cup Series last year and is looking to get as much seat time on the track as possible in an effort to defend his dirt title. Burton, who has ran in the Truck Series on dirt at Eldora in the past, also wants to get some extra lap time on the red Tennessee clay. Dillon won the first dirt Truck race at Eldora back in 2013 and has also won a dirt late model race at BMS last spring.

Meanwhile, Elliott, the 2020 Cup Series champion, who finished 10th in the Food City Dirt Race last year is looking forward to competing in the Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt. The truck is the same one Elliott’s teammate William Byron drove to victory last weekend at Martinsville.

“Driving the No. 7 Chevy Silverado at Bristol this weekend is definitely something I’m looking forward to,” Elliott said. “These trucks always look like a lot of fun to race on dirt, and this team has had some great runs this year and put together a solid program in a short amount of time. I’m excited to see what we can do out there on Saturday night.”

California-native Kofoid, who many have called a dirt racing wunderkind, is excited to make his NASCAR debut in the truck that won the race last year.

“Getting the opportunity to race the best equipment in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is a huge step in my career and I can’t thank Kyle Busch Motorsports, Mobil 1 and Toyota enough for giving me this chance,” Kofoid said. “To be making my Truck Series debut in such a unique event at an iconic venue like Bristol Motor Speedway is going to be really cool.”

Others to watch in the race include defending series champ Ben Rhodes, who finished second in the Bristol dirt last year, Bristol UNOH 200 winner Chandler Smith, the dirt racing couple of Stewart and Jessica Friesen, dirt aficionado Matt Crafton, former Cup regular Matt DiBenedetto, who drives the No. 25 for Rackley/WAR Racing, local standout Parker Kligerman, who drives the No. 75 truck for Abingdon, Va.-based Henderson Motorsports and fan-favorite Hailie Deegan, who pilots the No. 1 truck and cut her teeth racing on dirt tracks in Southern California.

The Food City Dirt Race weekend starts on Good Friday with Bush’s Beans Practice Day that will have both two 50-minute practice sessions for both Cup and Truck teams during the afternoon.

On Saturday, Bush’s Beans Qualifying will be held for both Cup and Truck competitors with each series participating in four blind-draw 15-lap qualifying heat races to set the fields for the main races. The Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt will follow with an 8 p.m. start (FS1, MRN Radio and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio).

The green flag for the Food City Dirt Race is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m. (FOX, PRN Radio and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio) on Easter Sunday evening.

Fans will want to take advantage of so many fun activities taking place during the weekend. The BMS Fan Zone has plenty of action going on, highlighted by driver appearances, music, games and prizes at the Food City Fan Zone Stage. On Saturday night, country music artist Tim Dugger will perform during the post-race concert at the Food City Fan Zone Stage. On Sunday at 4 p.m., BMS will host a very special Easter Celebration in the Fan Midway, which will be headlined by Chris Tomlin, Max Lucado and former Rascal Flatts lead singer Gary LeVox.

RELADYNE TO SPONSOR LAJOIE, SPIRE MOTORSPORTS IN DURAMAX DRYDENE 400 PRESENTED BY RELADYNE

CONCORD, N.C. (April 13, 2022) – Spire Motorsports announced today RelaDyne will showcase its Drydene and DuraMAX brands aboard Corey LaJoie’s No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the May 1 NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) DuraMAX Drydene 400 presented by RelaDyne at Dover Motor Speedway.

“RelaDyne is proud to partner with Corey LaJoie and Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series,” stated Dan Oehler, EVP of Marketing and Ecommerce for RelaDyne. “It’s important for us to continue building Corey’s history with Drydene, and we look forward to him also carrying our DuraMAX brand on his No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the upcoming DuraMAX Drydene 400 presented by RelaDyne. Corey’s passion and desire to compete at the highest level of racing exemplifies what RelaDyne and our DuraMAX and Drydene brands stand for – hard work, reliability, performance, and a competitive spirit second to none.”

RelaDyne, one of the nation’s leading providers of lubricants, fuel, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), and industrial reliability services and owner of the DuraMAX automotive brand, announced in September it has added Drydene to its industry leading portfolio of brands through the acquisition of Drydene Performance Products.

Since then, RelaDyne has grown the Drydene brand and products throughout its more than 75 locations allowing customers in the heavy duty, industrial and commercial sectors access to Drydene’s high-quality, proven performance products. This season will mark the fourth consecutive year LaJoie has carried the Drydene livery at “The Monster Mile.” His association with the “hardest working brand in heavy-duty lubrication” dates back to 2019.

RelaDyne’s DuraMAX brand offers high-quality, personal vehicle maintenance solutions, including full synthetic, high mileage and synthetic blend motor oils, antifreeze, filters, wiper blades, brake cleaners, power steering fluids and more. DuraMAX offers a 10-year, up to 300,000-mile engine protection warranty and has been recognized as the best-selling oil brand in the industry since 2018 by fast lube operators.

LaJoie has eight previous NCS Dover starts, logging nearly 2,600 laps on NASCAR’s senior circuit at the ultra-fast, one-mile concrete oval.

In ARCA Menards East Series (formerly NASCAR K&N Pro Series East) competition at Dover, the Concord, N.C., native has recorded five starts, notching one win, three top-five and four top-10 finishes.

“When RelaDyne acquired Drydene, they were steadfast in their commitment to this space and I’m grateful that continues to include our program at Spire Motorsports,” explained LaJoie. “Drydene began supporting my career four years ago and the enthusiasm surrounding the program continues to grow. The same goes for RelaDyne’s support of Dover Motor Speedway. ‘The Monster Mile’ is one of my favorite race tracks. I won a race at Dover during my time in the old K&N Series so I already have a Monster trophy on the shelf. We’ll definitely be looking to rekindle some of that magic.”

The DuraMAX Drydene 400 presented by RelaDyne from Dover Motor Speedway will be televised live on FS1 Sunday, May 1 beginning at 3 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The 11th of 36 races on the 2022 NCS schedule will be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

5 Tips Every Car Salesperson Should Know

Photo by azmar za on Unsplash

Being a car salesperson can be a great job, but as with most jobs, it comes with its own set of problems. The main problem that car salespeople face is that their income is mostly commission-based. While this is great for bigger sales, it does mean that you can stand to lose a lot of money if there’s a month where you don’t make a lot of sales.

This is why it’s so important for car salespeople to make sure that they are getting as many sales as possible. If you want to learn more about how to do this, keep reading.

Work on getting more leads

You will get most of your sales by selling to people who come into a dealership looking for cars. However, it’s not a good idea to solely rely on this. If you want to increase your chances of making a sale, you should always be actively looking for potential buyers.

The best way to do this is by getting viable leads and contacting these potential buyers. Of course, you can’t spend all day looking for leads, because then you won’t be making sales. Luckily, there are companies that help you get car sales leads

Learn to negotiate

When it comes to most products that are for sale, there’s not much room for negotiation. That’s not always true in the auto trade industry.

Depending on your dealership’s rules, you might be allowed to drop the price of a car a bit if it means getting a sale. But you don’t want to drop it too much, either.

This is why it’s so important to make sure that you know how to properly negotiate with customers if they are asking for a lower price. Keep in mind that the customer has probably also practiced their negotiation tactics, so you need to know what you’re doing if you want to get the best deal. Improve your people skills

Unfortunately, not everyone is a people person. But if you work in the car sales industry, it’s important to make sure that you know how to deal with and get along with many people.

The reality is simply that people are more likely to buy a car from someone they like. While it may be hard to become a car salesperson if you struggle to make small talk or get along with strangers, it’s not impossible. You might just need to work on improving your people skills in the workplace.

Be honest

You might feel like you should do anything you can to get a sale, but that’s not always true. You should always remain professional, and this means staying honest as well.

For example, you might be tempted to lie about the features a car has in order to close the deal. Keep in mind that doing so is not only unethical but could also land you in a lot of trouble because the fact that you lied is bound to come out.

Potential buyers will likely have a list of things to check out when they are buying a secondhand car, so they will probably be able to see through dishonestly anyway.

Keep learning

One thing that’s great about being a car salesperson is that you always have the opportunity to learn more and improve yourself on the job. If you want to make sure that you are getting as many sales as possible, you must take the time to learn. You can learn about new cars and their features, and you can also learn about different business and sales strategies.

If you truly want to up your game, you may even consider studying business. This will help you a lot in your auto sales job, but it will also mean that you have other career options if you ever want a change.

In conclusion

Many people enjoy the rush that comes with selling a car, and of course, the pay can be great. As you can imagine, this might not immediately be the case, but if you put in the hard work and improve your sales skills, you can easily make a great career out of being a car salesperson.

People often think that it’s an easy job, but that’s not true. In fact, there are a lot of skills you need to have if you want to be a successful car salesperson. That being said, if it’s something you want to do, you should follow some of the tips mentioned in this post.

What exactly to do soon after you meet with a car crash?

A car crash happened quickly. For those affected, many legal questions now arise with the car accident. You cannot always clarify the question of guilt at first glance. Not everyone involved in a car crash behaves fairly. Liability insurance is involved in car crash matters. Therefore, there are many good reasons to take legal advice after a car crash.

The dispute with the opposing liability insurance company

Opposing liability insurers do not always cooperate, and there are some disputed questions when evaluating a car crash or a traffic accident. Here it can be helpful if car crash lawyers prepare the first letter to the opposing liability insurance company. The car crash lawyers at the insurance company know that a lawyer can also correctly assess the situation and are more likely to see him as an opponent. He knows exactly what is important here and the liability insurance company will behave differently towards a lawyer than towards a legal nonprofessional.

Hit-and-run accident – what now

A car crash accident can be particularly difficult and very annoying if the opposing party has committed a hit-and-run. In this case, contact an experienced car crash lawyer immediately. He will help you to file a criminal complaint against unknown persons and can provide support in further clarifying the matter. It can be a matter of finding witnesses to the crash, who can provide valuable information. Even if you are guilty of a car crash, you should not hesitate to consult an experienced car crash lawyer as a defense attorney in this case.

Secure claims and obtain legal support

A car crash lawyer can provide you with valuable support in dealing with the accident. Keep in mind that you may not know and make all the claims that you are entitled to after a car crash. Therefore, it is advisable to seek advice from a competent car crash lawyer after an accident.

Experts also play an important role in car crash. If the other party involved in the accident is to blame for the accident and you assert claims, you are dealing with the other party’s liability insurer. If claims are against you, he can examine them and help you to preventing them.

How to behave after a car crash

Many do not know how to behave shortly after the car crash. Your behavior will be your best defense. It is particularly relevant for the subsequent handling of a car crash case. Even if it can be difficult at first, you should keep calm. It is now up to you to secure and document the course of the crash for later processing. You should also call the police to have the crash properly recorded as a precautionary measure.

Under no circumstances may you leave the scene of the crash site. Otherwise, you risk making yourself liable to prosecution because you could have committed the offense of hit and run. A specialist lawyer for car crash law will support you in organizing all the necessary steps and can assess expert reports accordingly.
