Motul goes off road enduro in partnership with FIM ISDE

The FIM is delighted to announce that Motul has become one the main partners of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE). The agreement with the French lubricant company is for an initial two year period and also sees them hold Lubricant and Maintenance exclusivity at the event. The newly signed deal, with what remains the oldest event in the FIM calendar, will see Motul fully launch into the Enduro off-road segment, complementing its existing involvements in the Dakar amongst other all-terrain events and its partnership with the off-road bike manufacturer Sherco.

Only a year ago Motul signed a global partnership deal with the fast-growing, exciting and championship-winning bike manufacturer, Sherco, which also encompasses its racing activities. Motul and Sherco will offer a wide range of support services during the ISDE to around twenty privateer bikers from around the world plus, of course, support for the official factory team riders in their respective national teams.

The 2021 edition of the FIM ISDE will take place in the Apennine region of Northern Italy between Lombardy and Piedmont from 30th August to 4th September. The crème de la crème of enduro riders will travel over punishing off-road surfaces through the Italian countryside before ending with The Final Motocross on the Tazio Nuvolari Circuit, south of Milan. The total length of the course, including special tests, will be approximately one thousand kilometres and the riders will do one lap each day, some of which will be time checked.

Motul will be playing a leading role in this iconic event, and both competitors and fans will enjoy a major activation programme onsite as well as following all the action and excitement digitally through Motul’s social media platforms. The highly recognisable Motul Racing Lab truck will be on site offering oil analysis and free advice to riders, just as it does on the Dakar. Customers and Motul Ambassadors will be also present from different parts of the world.

Enduro racing is hard in every sense! There are long stages, often over sun-baked, rock-hard terrain or in dusty valleys, and temperatures can soar. Keeping both bike and rider moving smoothly is therefore a key component on the route to success. Bikes will benefit from Motul’s race-proven 300V Factory Line Off Road and 300V2 products, plus the specific 800 2T engine oil which is tailored for off-road use. Motul RBF 700 Factory Line Racing Brake Fluid is an ultra-high performance fluid perfect for this environment, and Motocool and the full range of MC Care products will be the ideal products for every competitor.

Anton Malyshev, Motul Head of Business – Powersports said: “This is a really exciting development for us, and it will offer us the perfect opportunity to validate and promote the quality and performance of our extensive range of off-road products in front of the whole enduro community. We have formed an excellent relationship with the FIM over the years, largely through our partnerships in other motorcycle championships, but to partner with such an historic and globally famous event is very special. We can’t wait for it all to kick off at the end of August and to be working closely alongside our partner Sherco on this!”

Fabio Muner, FIM Marketing & Communications Director said: “The International Six Days of Enduro is the oldest World Championship event that the FIM has in its calendar and the arrival of a premium brand such as Motul is confirmation that the 6 Days is not only an iconic event and a proving ground for men and machines, but that it is also a unique platform for B2C marketing activations thanks to the huge participation of the riders and the fans at every edition. Having Motul as the main partner of the ISDE reinforces their position in the off-road racing market and also strengthens our fruitful marketing and technical cooperation in the enduro segment too.”

Best Spring Cleaning Tips For Racing Cars You Need To Know

The Most Important Spring Cleaning Tips For Racing Cars You Need To Know

Once the tough winter season is over, you need to give your racing car some tender loving care. That’s because its exterior has undergone quite a beating from the freezing temperatures and salt, on top of the usual wear and tear. Likewise, its interior is most likely to have been bombarded with ice and slush.

Spring is the perfect time to bring back your pride and glory to its former beauty. It deserves the attention that it gave you on the tracks. Every spring, you must take the time to tune and rev up your car to ensure it is ready for the racing season ahead. With that in mind, here are the best spring cleaning tips for racing cars that you can do at the comforts of your home.

Gather Your Tools

The first thing you want to do is to assemble all the supplies and tools you’ll need to thoroughly clean your car. These include a pressure washer, a vacuum cleaner, microfiber towels, a variety of sponges, and rags. To get the job done, you’ll also need various liquids for auto detailing:

  • Wash shampoo and conditioner
  • Interior and exterior detailers
  • Wax liquid
  • Tire cleaner
  • Rim cleaner
  • Foam applicator
  • Lubricator

The two-bucket technique is usually used when car washing, wherein one bucket contains a water and soap mixture, and the other is solely used for rinsing a wash mitt. Although this is a good method, it can eat up a lot of your time. If you want to save time, electric pressure washers are the way to go. Not only do these devices will make the car shine, but they are also more efficient and can get rid of even the toughest of dirt.

Get Rid Of Interior Debris

Check the truck and interior of your car and remove any garbage you’ve left behind. Open the center console to see if there is residual trash in the in-door storage and glove box compartments. Make sure that all nooks and crannies of your car are cleaned and only leave important things in there such as a flashlight and required documentation.

Before putting things back to their respective places, wipe all the compartments down with a microfiber towel and interior detailer. Then, wipe the dashboard down using a special cleaner, as well as the storage areas, center stack, and instrument panel.

Check Underneath The Seats

The rule of thumb when cleaning any car is to look in areas that are hard to see. Of course, that includes under the seats, which you’ll be surprised at the things you can find there. Furthermore, this is the area where massive amounts of dirt and dried salt exists.

That’s why it’s always a good idea to vacuum under the seat to remove plenty of unwanted things from your car. When cleaning, make sure to move the seat as far back and forward as it can go. Doing so will provide you with a better view of the stuff hiding under there.

Wash The Floor Mats

The most effective way to deep clean rubber car floor mats is with a pressure washer since it will do the job for you. Pressure rinse the mats off and leave them to dry. When dry, you’ll most likely find spots that still have some dirt. Simply spray a bit of degreaser on the areas, let it sit for a few minutes, and then give them some brushing. Rinse the car mats and let them air dry again.

Give The Headlights And Taillights Proper Cleaning

Two of the parts that acquire the most dirt during winter are your car’s taillights and headlights. As spring sets in, they will appear quite foggy and filthy. Nevertheless, most drivers pay little to no attention to these. Usually, we don’t give them the time of day as long as the bulbs are not burnt out. But taillights and headlights are very important when it comes to safety and visibility on the track when there’s a heavy downpour during your race.

Giving these components a simple wipe with a warm, damp cloth in the spring can make a huge difference. Not only will your car’s visibility improve but the range of light coming from it as well. Likewise, it will be easier for people and other drivers to see you from a distance.

Wax The Exterior Of Your Car

Washing your car’s exterior is good to remove any corrosive salt from its body. However, do not forget to polish to finish it. Although you don’t have to wax the outside of your car all the time, it is advisable to do it at least once or twice a year, especially during spring. After all, wax presents numerous benefits, which includes:

  • Seal the paint
  • Repel water beads
  • Add shiny coat to the exterior surface
  • Get rid of water spots

Change Oil

Consider having two oil changes annually instead of the recommended every 3,000 miles. And if you have the budget for it, go for high-quality synthetic oil. Although this may cost you more, the peace of mind it will give you is worth the extra bucks.

Rotate Your Tires

This standard maintenance is often overlooked. Just like oil changes, spring is a good time for tire rotation. Doing so will ensure that all your tires will wear evenly. Hence, it’s a must to rotate them regularly.

Clean The Tires

Another important exterior area you need to clean is the tires of your car. Make sure to apply non-acid cleaning products when washing the tires to give them a good clean while preventing harsh chemicals from damaging them. Then, remove any tough dirt that has worked its way into the tires with a stiff brush. Overall cleanliness minus the harsh chemicals will leave your tires in tip-top condition.

Watch these video instructions for a more detailed way to clean your tires.

Check The Breaks

Determining if the brake pads of your car need replacement are also best done in spring. Your mechanic can also evaluate what’s the condition of brake discs (or brake drums if you have an older car). Usually, you don’t need to replace them if you have serviced them on schedule. However, some instances call for these parts to be replaced.

Give The Undercarriage Of Your Car A Good Washing

Washing the undercarriage of your racing car can help prevent rust from rearing its ugly head. And there’s no better time to do this than after winter. All kinds of filth, salt, mud, and gravel can get trapped under your car, around its exhaust, muffler, wheel wells, and axles. Blasting these off with a pressure washer is the best way to go about it.

Moreover, visiting a professional car wash once during spring never hurts to give it some thorough cleaning. This will also ensure that anything that’s corrosive and can cause rust to build up and spread gets taken care of immediately. Keep in mind that rust is like cancer. Once it gets hold of your car, it will spread and eat it alive. So keep your vehicle’s underside clean to make it last longer.

Courtney Crone, 20, Receives 23rd Gorsline Scholarship Award

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 5, 2021) – Courtney Crone, of Corona, Calif., was presented the 23rd Gorsline Scholarship by John Gorsline in March during a Race Industry Now Webcast presented by EPARTRADE and RACER. The previous scholarship was awarded in 2016 to Dylan Murry.

At only 20 years of age, Crone’s auto racing career is already in its 17th season. She is currently competing in IMSA’s Prototype Challenge in an LMP3 prototype fielded by Forty7 Motorsports.

Crone began racing go-karts at the age of 4, then gradually evolved to quarter midgets, motorcycles and formula cars. She was a candidate for the Team USA Scholarship to contest the Formula Ford Festival and the Walter Hayes Trophy Race in the UK, and in 2016, 2017 and 2018 was a recipient of a Women’s Motorsports Foundation Project Podium scholarship. Crone also won the VMB Driver Development Scholarship shoot-out in 2017 and 2018 and drove Steve Brisentine’s Formula Speed 2.0 in the Formula Car Challenge Series for two seasons.

“Receiving the Gorsline Company Scholarship is a great honor,” said Crone. “Being in the company of the past recipients is an extra push for me to know that I can make it to the top with a lot of focus, and some luck. I am grateful to John and the entire Gorsline Company for choosing me as the 2021 recipient.”

The benefits of the scholarship for Crone include working with Dr. Jacques Dallaire, Director of Performance Prime, on an individually-designed performance-enhancement program, and with Jim Leo on a unique training program at Jim Leo’s PitFit Training – all courtesy of Gorsline Company.

“It’s hard to believe that Courtney, who’s only 20 years old, already has more than 16 years of experience in racing,” said Gorsline. “She represents the type of person – an ambitious and capable race-car driver – that Gorsline Company has been supporting since 1994 with the Gorsline Scholarship. I’m confident she’ll benefit even more than what she’s already experienced on the race track from these training programs.”

“I believe the programs will allow me to further my career not just in the car, but outside of the car for many years to come,” said Crone. “The knowledge that will come from both Jim Leo and Jacques Dallaire will enable me extract the most out of myself mentally and physically while racing, and that is just what I need to succeed.”

As for her goals in the future, “My goals for the future are simple: make it to the top level of motorsports whether it be in IMSA or IndyCar,” she said. “My big goal will always be to win the Indianapolis 500. But, after having my eyes opened to the world of IMSA, as long as I can stay within those two paddocks, I will be very happy. And, just because they are simple, does not make either of them any easier.”

The Gorsline Scholarship is presented by Gorsline Company, of Rochester, N.Y., the leader in high-risk motorsports insurance. It recognizes aspiring drivers by offering programs with tools that will assist them in developing skills on and off the track to help attain their professional goals.

Testing Scheduled for April 8-9 at Racing Capital of the World

INDIANAPOLIS (Monday, April 5, 2021) – Nearly a full field of NTT INDYCAR SERIES participants will begin preparations for the 105th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge during an open test Thursday, April 8 and Friday, April 9 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Thirty-two car-and-driver combinations are scheduled to participate in the two-day session, which will stream live to race fans exclusively via NBCUniversal’s new streaming service, Peacock.

The open test at IMS creates a marquee launch for INDYCAR action on Peacock, featuring NBC Sports talent, exclusive content and interviews previewing the 17-race NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. Fans can sign up here for one week to view both days of testing at IMS, and enjoy live coverage of NTT INDYCAR SERIES qualifying and practice sessions, as well as coverage surrounding the 105th Indianapolis 500, Indy Lights races, race day warmups and full-event replays of the 2021 season on Peacock Premium for $4.99 per month.

“IMS and INDYCAR are working closely with NBC Sports to deliver what should be an exceptional show on Peacock during these two very important days of testing,” IMS President J. Douglas Boles said. “Having the NBC Sports broadcasters, production quality and exclusive content will deliver an engaging viewing experience that builds even more anticipation for finally coming ‘Back Home Again’ to IMS in May.”

Said INDYCAR President Jay Frye: “The NTT INDYCAR SERIES offers the most competitive and daring racing on the planet. Peacock gives our most loyal fans access to key practice and qualification sessions while also showcasing our series alongside a compelling roster of major global sports leagues and competitions.”

A full stream of the test also will be available to international fans via the INDYCAR App powered by NTT DATA. The IMS test will be held from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. (ET) Thursday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday. There will be no on-site public access. IMS remains focused on planning and preparing to host spectators during the Month of May. An advisory regarding media access will be forthcoming.

Star-Studded Field Set To Turn Laps at IMS

Reigning “500” champion Takuma Sato of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and six-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Scott Dixon of Chip Ganassi Racing headline the list of participants testing. Sato and Dixon were the top two finishers in last year’s race, held Aug. 23 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and they have combined to win Indy three times (Sato in 2017 and 2020, Dixon in 2008).

Nine former “500” winners have plans to test, including three-time champion Helio Castroneves (2001, 2002, 2009) in a car fielded by Meyer Shank Racing. Juan Pablo Montoya eyes his third “500” victory with as many teams. Montoya’s prior victories came with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2000 and Team Penske in 2015; this effort is with Arrow McLaren SP.

Other past “500” winners participating will be Chip Ganassi Racing’s Tony Kanaan (2013), Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter-Reay (2014) and Alexander Rossi (2016), and Team Penske’s Will Power (2018) and Simon Pagenaud (2019). The record for former winners in a single “500” is 10, set in 1992.

Marco Andretti, who won the NTT P1 Award for pole at last year’s event, will be part of Andretti Autosport’s five participants. Andretti became the first member of his family to win the pole at Indy since his grandfather Mario in 1987. Mario won three “500” poles in his illustrious career.

Simona De Silvestro will make her return to IMS in the No. 16 Chevrolet of Paretta Autosport, a new NTT INDYCAR SERIES team. The Swiss driver last competed in the race in 2015. Pietro Fittipaldi, whose grandfather Emerson twice won the “500,” also will participate in the test in a bid to earn his first starting position in the famed event.

Honda will have 17 entries testing, Chevrolet 15.

Official practice for “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” begins Tuesday, May 18, with more than 33 entries competing for a starting position. NTT P1 Award qualifying will be held Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23. The “500” is Sunday, May 30.

Howie DiSavino III to make NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Richmond Raceway for Jordan Anderson Racing

MOORESVILLE, N.C.: Embarking on the next step of his career, Howie DiSavino III will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut for Jordan Anderson Racing (JAR) at Richmond (Va.) Raceway for the ToyotaCare 250 on Sat., Apr. 17, 2021.

Richmond will be an important race for DiSavino, who turns 20 on Apr. 10 – as the sixth Truck Series race of the season is planted just 18 miles south of DiSavino’s hometown of Chesterfield, Va.

“I’m incredibly humbled about this opportunity to not only compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with Jordan Anderson Racing but for the chance to race in front of my family, friends and partners,” said DiSavino.

“This is undoubtedly the biggest race of my career, but I am up for the challenge.”

DiSavino enters the Truck Series after competing in seven ARCA Menards Series races, including this year’s season-opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in February for AM Racing. In his superspeedway debut, DiSavino cleverly drafted from his 25th place starting position and raced inside the top-10 for most of the event.

A late-race flat tire sent DiSavino to the rear of the field where he was able to climb back to 13th at the checkered flag. Of his seven ARCA starts, he has maneuvered two top-10s and six top-16 finishes between 2019 and 2021, respectively.

Longtime DiSavino partners KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning will serve as the primary marketing partners on the No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado in the doubleheader weekend with the NASCAR Cup Series.

“The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is stacked this season, added DiSavino.

“Richmond is going to be an extremely competitive race and tire management will be key. Fortunately, I have surrounded myself with good people who are adequately helping me prepare to make Richmond a successful weekend both on and off the track.

“If we can come out of the race with a strong top-20 finish that will certainly feel like a win.

“I just want to do a great job for Jordan (Anderson) and our partners KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning and with the hope to do some more Truck Series racing throughout the 2021 season.”

Anderson, who drove his family-owned team to a career-high second-place finish in the season-opener at Daytona is excited to welcome DiSavino to the team and is eager to help make his debut memorable.

“I have been keeping my eye on Howie for a little while now, and when Austin (Theriault, manager) said he was available and exploring NASCAR opportunities, I wanted to jump at having him make his NASCAR debut in one of our trucks,” said Anderson. “My team and I have built this team from the ground up, and Howie shares the drive and determination that I admire in a driver. I’m looking forward to seeing him be successful.”

Of course, DiSavino isn’t just getting support and confidence from his team. His marketing partners have been patiently waiting for the opportunity to be a part of a historic moment for the rising star.

For Jeremy Grogg, CEO of KEES Vacations, this partnership is the culmination of many years of hard work.

“I love NASCAR Truck Series racing. As a race fan, and a business owner, it is a dream come true to have such an important role in Howie’s NASCAR debut,” he said. “We are excited to be able to highlight and promote KEES Vacations to the hundreds of thousands of NASCAR fans, and look forward to helping many plan their next dream vacation!”

“For Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning, joining the HDIII Racing team through a sponsorship opportunity, has been everything we could hope for,” said Rob Nelson, President of Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning.

“The closeness and comradery with Howie, his dad and all the others involved just feels like we are a part of an organization that cares about its partners. They’re focused on creating and exploiting every possible opportunity for the betterment of the sponsors in concert with the true star of the show, Howie DiSavino III.

Additional details on DiSavino’s 2021 program are forthcoming.

How to Generate Repeat Business for Your Auto Dealership

Photo by Obi Onyeador on Unsplash

A lot of dealerships devote too much of their focus on attracting new customers whereas an equal amount of time should be invested into generating repeat business from existing customers and building up loyalty. Not only can this contribute massively to the revenue of your dealership, but the more loyal these customers are to your dealership, the higher the chance of them leaving positive reviews, giving you more auto leads, and telling their friends and family about you. This, in turn, can bring in new customers. In this article, we take a look at some of the best ways you can start marketing your dealership to generate repeat business for your dealership and increase loyalty with your brand at the same time.

Offer Incentives

Your existing customers will come back to you if they feel they are being rewarded for their loyalty. Otherwise, what’s the point? For some examples of how to create great customer service for your company, you could check here and build customer loyalty quickly. Aside from your excellent customer service, if they are being charged or getting the same package as a new customer for example with no additional benefits for their loyalty then, what is the point indeed! Instead, why not reward repeat customers for coming back to you. As an example, for an annual service provide a 10% discount? Or if they’re after a new set of tires why not offer them 4 for the price of 3? The savings may not be astronomical but the gesture of providing them with these incentives as an existing customer goes a long way.

Complimentary Services

No matter what industry you’re involved in, a customer always loves getting that something extra for free. And your auto dealership shouldn’t be any exception to this golden rule. So if customers are coming back to you why not give them that little something extra to thank them for their loyalty? Not only to increase the likelihood of them coming back again in the future but also to reward them for choosing you over your competitors. For example, when someone comes to buy a car from you, if they come back to you for your annual service why not throw in a free valet to ensure their car is sparkling clean upon returning it to them?

Reassure the Customer That They Know What They’re Getting

When finally delivering a vehicle to your customer, reassure them about the deal they’re getting and ensure they’re happy. Give them a thorough recap of everything that is involved in the price that they’ve paid, most importantly the parts of their package that are ‘added value’ for their custom or available to them in the future for their loyalty or recommendations. This includes any future annual services that are included in the price and gives them a breakdown of the payment. This is also the opportune time to ask them if they have any questions about aspects of the sale/aftercare such as the warranty. This reassures the customer that you don’t just complete the sale and disappear and will encourage them to do business with you in the future.

Take Care and Caution With Servicing

If your dealership offers other services in addition to buying and selling cars, this is a great area to make a real impression on the customer. When the customer hands over their vehicle to you they are trusting you to take care of it when performing any repairs or servicing. A great way to maximize the chances of them coming back to you in the future is to make them put their trust in you as a dealership and consider you to be the right choice. There are a number of ways to ensure that their car is as protected as possible when performing repairs or upgrades.

One such way is by using protective items such as disposable plastic car seat covers, gear shift covers, and steering wheel covers. These items ensure that if you’re performing any work on a customer’s car, any mess that is made as a result of the work won’t spoil any of the car’s interior. If you are using these types of products to protect your vehicle whilst carrying out a repair or service you should tell your customer when they bring their vehicle in for the work. Demonstrate to them before they leave their car with you that you will take the utmost care in performing the repair or service and you even use these protective products to protect their vehicle, giving them peace of mind and confidence in your dealership before you commence the work.

This maximizes the chances of them returning to you for future work or vehicle purchases as well as the likelihood they will write a positive review about you and tell friends or family members about the quality of the service they’ve received from you. For high-quality automotive protective products, consider visiting the following URL: https://mbrmarketing.com/service-department/steering-wheel-and-seat-covers which is the website of MBR Marketing, one of the leading suppliers of auto dealer products in the United States.

Stay in Touch With Your Customers

Another way to demonstrate to your customers that your dealership doesn’t just forget about them after a sale has been completed is to keep in touch. It also reinforces their recognition of your brand. You could consider hiring a customer service virtual assistant, a person who you only employ when you need to, who can assist with administrative tasks. For instance, they could work only a couple of days a week, spending time following up on customers and asking for feedback. This would make them feel heard and cared for, and more likely to return to your business. Other ways to keep in touch include asking for a review after they’ve purchased a vehicle or service from you. Another nice touch is to provide them with a courtesy email on their birthday or anniversary of their first purchase to show them that they’re a valued customer and remind them of your excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Ask for Reviews

A great way to discover customer insight and to improve your service is through reviews. Ask customers for feedback after they have purchased a vehicle from you or used one of your services. Ask them if they were happy with the service and what they weren’t happy with. This will not only identify areas for improvement but will also highlight areas where your dealership is currently meeting the customer’s needs. A great way to gain true feedback is also to incentivize the customer to provide a review through promotions or discounts as the more reviews you receive the better understanding you have of how your products and services are perceived by your customers.

Summary

If you have your own dealership you need to ensure you invest adequate time and resources into building your repeat business. Attracting a new customer is much harder than selling again to an existing customer who already knows you. Remember to communicate with your existing customers, make them feel special and rewarded for their loyalty and they will return time and time again potentially bringing friends or family members to your showroom as a direct result of your investment and interest in them.

8 Car Maintenance Tips That Can Save You Money

Photo by C Joyful on Unsplash

Cars are incredibly complex machines but despite their durability, they also exhibit great delicateness. Aside from the inherent risks on the road and the damage that nature can do, time itself can wear away your car’s integrity. According to a recent survey, the average American spends approximately $400 every year repairing their car.

This amount can seem like a small but necessary expense, it won’t seem so trivial if you’re behind on rent or struggling to pay all the bills on time. The best way to avoid shelling out hundreds of dollars just to fix up your car is to take better care of it in the first place.

Below are eight maintenance tips that you should always keep and use if you want to keep your car in great condition without large expenses.

  1. Get Car Cleaned Regularly

Small bits of food and lint may not seem like they can wreck your car, but debris and crumbs can attract vermin. Ants can destroy your upholstery bit by bit. Larger pieces of trash can attract more virulent vermin like cockroaches and rats.

If you want to keep your car from getting eaten and soiled by such pests, you should take your car to a professional cleaner regularly. Better yet, you can take your car to professional car detailers, like Auto Armour PFF.

  1. Familiarize Yourself with Dashboard Lights

All cars, from the simplest of sedans to high-profile vehicles, have an array of complicated dashboard lights. Unfortunately, many car owners don’t see the point of learning the meaning behind these lights to their detriment.

When you buy your car, make sure to flip open the driver’s manual and familiarize yourself with the meaning behind them. They can tell you if your car is in danger of overheating, loss of fluid, and other conditions.

  1. Change Fluids Frequently

Your car is like a living being and it requires plenty of fluid nourishment. Aside from gasoline, your car needs brake fluid, engine coolant, engine oil and radiator fluid, and many more. Always make sure that your car gets plenty of all of these fluids as they are vital to your car’s well-being. Check their levels regularly and clean out their valves and pipes to prevent blockages.

  1. Mind the Weather

The weather outside can be frightful and even more terrifying, it can affect your car’s integrity. Driving your car through flood after flood, can soak its undercarriage and lead to rusting. Driving on snowy roads can deteriorate your hubcaps and wheel axles through exposure to road salts. Intense summer sunshine can bake your engine and make it overheat. Always gauge if the weather outside is worth endangering your car.

  1. Rotate Tires

The tires of your car bear all the machine’s weight. If you don’t rotate your tires, all the weight remains on a particular tire. This can bend their rims and decrease their lifespan. Switch up the positions of your car’s tires by swapping them. For example, switch the positions of the left and right front tires with their equivalents in the rear.

  1. Drive Responsibly

Aggressive driving can be the most dangerous thing you can do not only to your vehicle but to yourself. Your best-case scenario is that your aggressive driving ends with your car with a few minor dings and scratches. However, a truly bad accident can completely wipe out your vehicle which will cost many thousands of dollars. Always drive carefully and obey traffic laws to prevent your car from getting damaged.

  1. Park Under Cover

The environment contains many things that can damage your vehicle. Intense temperatures can wreak havoc on the engine and internal mechanisms. Animals can scratch the exterior or crawl their way into the vehicle. Street parking is unacceptable over long periods for these reasons. Don’t leave your car parked out in the open if you can. Always look for cover when parking your car.

  1. Don’t Leave it Undriven

On the other hand, you may find yourself driving your car less and less for one reason or another. This can lead to your car remaining unused for weeks. This can destroy your car as surely as ramming it into a wall. If you must leave your car parked for long periods, occasionally start the engines and take it for a short drive to keep the engine and battery in good condition.

Cars are huge investments, and they are essential for getting to your job on time or safely transporting your loved ones. Taking the best care of it through sensible maintenance won’t just save you money, it will also make your whole life much easier.
