5 NASCAR Drivers to Watch in 2025

To the untrained eye, it might look like NASCAR drivers only have the straightforward task of driving straight, turning their car, driving straight again, and so on. In reality, though, NASCAR drivers have a very complex task because they have to navigate tracks based on how they are constructed. They always have to be aware of each track’s specific construction because tracks differ in shape, length, banking, and other details. This awareness is also challenging to maintain because differences exist within each track.

Navigating tracks encompasses finding the right speeds and angles to enter and vacate differently structured regions of a given track, figuring out how to maximize one’s car’s racing potential based on its technical components, and strategizing about things like when to make a pit stop.

In summary, NASCAR drivers have to be very smart and skilled. So, when discussing which NASCAR drivers to watch in a given year, we are talking about which drivers can best manage the complicated tasks assigned to competitors in a given race.

Without further ado, here are five drivers worth watching this year.

Alex Bowman

This driver has the talent and ability to compete regularly with the best drivers but has been bitten by bad luck.

In 2020, he finished sixth in the standings and, by advancing to the Round of 8, among the top eight drivers in the playoffs. Then, in 2021, he won four races.

He has not been able to build on those achievements because injuries have derailed him—he sustained a concussion in 2022, and after sitting atop the points standings in 2023, a fractured vertebra ended his hopes.

Bad luck can’t plague the guy forever, though.

A five-race stretch of consecutive top-nine finishes this year from February 16 to March 23 creates particular promise for his outlook this season.

William Byron

William Byron leads all drivers in points through the NASCAR Cup Series event at Darlington.

He is using his strong abilities in restarts and in defense to succeed.

But he is best known for his “vulture” abilities.

To win races as a “vulture,” a driver must think strategically. He needs to be patient and well-positioned to attack when he perceives the best opportunity late in a given race to do so. With these traits, he can close out races successfully.

An example of Byron doing this is at the Daytona 500, where he won last year and this year. He will continue to pose a competitive threat in his own fashion.

Christopher Bell

Christopher Bell is a vastly improving NASCAR driver.

From February 23 to April 6, he has collected three wins and two other top-three finishes.

His improvement is apparent in various individual respects, such as his newfound ability to succeed on drafting tracks, which is evident in his win on February 23 at Atlanta.

The Bell of previous years would not have won on such a track. But Bell is different now and will only continue to grow.

Kyle Larson

Kyle Larson is widely regarded as NASCAR’s most talented driver.

Larson’s talent is evident in his versatility. He is dangerous in various cars and on different kinds of tracks.

His talent has enabled him to win one Cup championship and three All-Star races, specifically in the NASCAR Cup Series. He qualifies annually for the playoffs and always poses a threat to win.

Expectations for him are always high, which is why, for example, BetOnline has him as the favorite to win the NASCAR Championship this year, even though he is not currently in first place.

Ryan Blaney

Blaney has had some bad luck this year, which has caused him to fail to finish multiple races, but he remains a profoundly capable driver who can win on different tracks.

He is someone to watch out for, especially as the season progresses, because he is characteristically a late bloomer. In his career, twelve of his thirteen wins have come after the middle of May.

The signs of success are already present. He does a terrific job of passing drivers and attaining high positions when the flag is green. Statistically, he has been far superior in this respect to other well-known drivers like Chase Elliott in most recent races. This year, he has done an excellent job of requiring few laps to pass drivers. He has also shown great defense, meaning that other drivers need a lot of laps to pass him.

In sum, Blaney’s time will come because he is such a capable driver. He most recently achieved a fifth-place finish at Darlington, which is a sign of more to come.

Ty Dillon visits with kids at Niswonger Children’s Hospital and Hurricane Helene flooding survivors ahead of Food City 500

BRISTOL, Tenn. (April 10, 2025) – NASCAR star Ty Dillon made two impactful visits on Thursday in the Appalachian Highlands Region to spread community spirit before he suits up to compete in Sunday’s Food City 500 race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Joined by officials from BMS, Dillon took some time to put smiles on many faces at Niswonger’s Children’s Hospital and then the veteran driver visited with officials at Appalachian Service Project and toured some of the homes they are building for survivors and others affected by the Hurricane Helene flooding last fall.

His first stop was the Children’s Hospital. He chatted with the children and signed some autographs. He was amazed at their incredible strength in a time of adversity.

“It’s always an honor for me to be able to give my time in that way and just also have fun with the local families,” Dillon said. “I really enjoy getting to spend the moments that I get with these kids as a parent. You want to do everything you can to help make these days a little bit easier for these folks.”

Dillon, who drives the No. 10 Chevy for Kaulig Racing on the NASCAR Cup Series circuit, said spending time with the children always gives great perspective.

“I just love seeing the smiles on these kids’ faces when we get to have a little bit of fun or joke around or maybe bring them gifts because, you know, they’re going through a time in their life that is stressful and making a deep impact,” Dillon said. “And you’re hoping that you can bring just a lot of joy, and usually you leave being uplifted by these kids because they’re so strong and doing amazing things, fighting for what they’re going through.”

Dillon was also inspired by the joyful attitudes of Hurricane Helene survivors David Harris and Carolyn Garland. Dillon met with them inside their new home, which is being constructed by the Appalachia Service Project.

Their home is being placed back near the one that was destroyed during the flooding. Dillon toured most of the affected areas and there’s still signs of devastation remaining. He went from Erwin to Bumpus Cove and Embreeville and finished up in Tittle Circle where he met with Harris and Garland.

The stories that both told of that fateful day were beyond scary. They lost many friends and neighbors. They became emotional as they remembered how lucky they were to make it out; it all happened so fast.

Dillon said it’s difficult to see the path the flooding created through the communities; especially given the hundreds of times he has driven through those areas admiring its beauty.

“I thought about the drives from my home to Bristol,” Dillon said. “My family has always loved the beauty of the mountains. For that tragic storm to come through and wipe out so much, to be able to give a little bit of our time, to maybe make one day a little easier for some who have lost so much, is the least that we can do. I will always be grateful for participating in these experiences.”

In addition to the work ASP is doing and countless first responders, the National Guard, the United Way and other emergency response agencies, Bristol Motor Speedway became the Northeast Tennessee Disaster Relief Center over several months working with TEMA, and countless NASCAR drivers and teams eagerly joined in to help in relief and recovery operations. North Wilkesboro Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway also were huge in helping in the devastated areas of North Carolina. Dillon’s Kaulig Racing Team and his family team of Richard Childress Racing also gathered donations to help during that critical time.

“I believe there’s no community in sports that does better than NASCAR, we’re just so tight knit in that way,” Dillon said. “When anything happens, whether it involves a community that we’re close with, or people within our community that we know, our whole group rushes to try to help in any way possible.”

This Sunday during Food City 500 pre-race festivities, Bristol Motor Speedway will gather a small group of first responders, emergency personnel and volunteers who dedicated themselves to rescue, restore and rebuild efforts for those impacted by Hurricane Helene as a salute to all who gave so much.

The highly-anticipated weekend opens with the WEATHER GUARD Truck Race, a 250-lap race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series under the lights on Friday, April 11 (7:30 p.m., FS1 and PRN Radio), and continues Saturday afternoon on April 12 with the SciAps 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race (5 p.m., The CW, PRN Radio). Bush’s Beans Practice and Bush’s Beans Qualifying will be held for all three series both Friday and Saturday. The weekend culminates Sunday afternoon with the running of the historic Food City 500 NASCAR Cup Series race (April 13, 3 p.m., FS1 and PRN Radio).

PRO STOCK RISING STAR CORY REED LOOKS FOR SUCCESS AT NHRA 4-WIDE NATIONALS IN VEGAS

LAS VEGAS (April 10, 2025) – Cory Reed made the switch to Pro Stock car from Pro Stock Motorcycle last season and this weekend at the 25th annual NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he’ll have his first go at four-wide racing in the Pro Stock category.

After competing for several years in the Pro Stock Motorcycle ranks, Reed joined the KB Titan Racing powerhouse team, where he drives the J&A Service Chevrolet Camaro. This weekend will be his first four-wide race in a Pro Stock car, and also his first four-wide race in four years. The wildest spectacle in racing presents a challenge, but Reed is confident he’ll be ready.

“My last four-wide format race was in 2021 on my Pro Stock Motorcycle, so it’s been a few years, but I think it’ll be easy to get right back into it,” Reed said. “Of course, there’s a lot more that goes into racing Pro Stock than motorcycles so I think the first few runs will just be making sure I do my regular routine and doing my job as a driver.”

Last season, Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel), Bob Tasca III (Funny Car) and Jeg Coughlin Jr. (Pro Stock) claimed four-wide victories at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This season’s event will again be broadcasted on FS1, including eliminations coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 13. It is the fourth of 20 races during the 2025 campaign and the first of two straight four-wide races.

So far in 2025, Reed has two semifinal appearances, including two weeks ago at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals in Pomona. He advanced to the semifinals where he met his teammate and reigning Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson, who has dominated thus far in 2025 and has won the last two races.

This semifinal finish will slot Reed into the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge. In the four-wide format, he will take be matched with Anderson, five-time champion Jeg Coughlin and Brandon Foster. The other quad will be made up of Gainesville winner Dallas Glenn, Matt Hartford, Deric Kramer and rookie Matt Latino.

Reed has rounded into form quickly in the loaded Pro Stock category and the early success, especially this season, has paid dividends.

“Going rounds so early in my Pro Stock career definitely boosts my confidence,” said Reed. “We’ve had a really good start to our year and I really believe that the first win is right around the corner. We just need to stay the course. I’ve got all I need with KB Titan power and being able to rely on so many talented drivers under our KB Titan umbrella.”

Shawn Langdon currently leads the Top Fuel points, with a win in Phoenix and two Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge victories to his credit this season. Reigning champion Antron Brown nabbed the win over Langdon in Gainesville while fan-favorite Clay Millican picked up the Pomona win over 2024 Rookie of the Year winner and racing legend Tony Stewart. Others to watch this weekend will be former champions Doug Kalitta and Brittany Force, who won the spring and fall races at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last season, respectively.

Bob Tasca III wowed fans at Las Vegas last year when he won the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals with the first triple holeshot in Funny Car history over Austin Prock, Ron Capps and Matt Hagan. Prock claimed the Funny Car championship thanks to his eight event wins, while early-season standouts in 2025 include points leader Jack Beckman, Phoenix winner Paul Lee and Gainesville champ Chad Green.

The NHRA 4-Wide Nationals also will feature thrilling competition in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, featuring some of the top racers in the country. Fans will also be invited all weekend long to the Nitro Alley Stage, which will help create a festive atmosphere leading with Nitro School, meet and greets and much more.

Race fans at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway can enjoy the special pre-race ceremonies that introduce and celebrate each of the drivers racing for the prestigious Wally on Sunday and includes the fan favorite SealMaster Track Walk. The final can’t-miss experience of any NHRA event is the winner’s circle celebration on Sunday after racing concludes, where fans are invited to congratulate the event winners.

As always, fans also get an exclusive pit pass to the most powerful and sensory-filled motorsports attraction on the planet in Las Vegas. This opportunity gives fans a unique chance to see teams in action and service their hot rods between rounds, get autographs from their favorite NHRA drivers, and more.

In Las Vegas, NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series qualifying will feature two rounds at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. PT on Friday, April 11, and the final two rounds of qualifying on Saturday, April 12 at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Eliminations will begin at 12 p.m. PT on Sunday, April 13. Television coverage includes qualifying action at 9:30 p.m. ET on Friday and 11 a.m. ET on Sunday, leading into eliminations coverage at 6:30 p.m. ET on FS1.

Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing Teams Step into the IMSA and SRO America Sprint Race Spotlight at the 50th Grand Prix of Long Beach

LONG BEACH, California – Five Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing teams step into the sprint race spotlight in a dual weekend of IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and SRO GT America powered by AWS competition at the 50th Grand Prix of Long Beach, April 11 – 13. Championship leaders Winward Racing join Korthoff Competition Motors in Saturday’s 100-minute WeatherTech Championship race while CrowdStrike by Riley, CRP Racing and Regulator Racing compete in twin 40-minute GT America sprints Saturday and Sunday.

Teams in both championships bring race-winning momentum to Long Beach after respective victories in the most recent rounds of both the WeatherTech and GT America series.

Reigning WeatherTech GT Daytona (GTD) champions Winward Racing and Mercedes-AMG took an early-season points lead with a convincing victory one race ago in last month’s 73rd Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring with the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 and team drivers Russell Ward, Philip Ellis and Indy Dontje. Meanwhile, George Kurtz drove the No. 04 CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG GT3 to victory in the season-opening GT America race two weeks ago at Sonoma Raceway.

The top team in GTD, Winward joined Mercedes-AMG in a perfect six-for-six sweep of all IMSA driver, team and manufacturer championships last year on the strength of a series-leading four race wins. Their second-straight Sebring victory and a fourth-place finish in January’s season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona have moved Winward and Mercedes-AMG off to a strong early season title defense, topping the GTD driver and team championship standings coming into Long Beach with 690 points, 41 clear of the nearest competitors. Mercedes-AMG leads the GTD manufacturer championship with 694 points, 40 tallies ahead of the second-place challenger.

With endurance race specialist Dontje scheduled to return for June’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, full-season co-drivers Ward and Ellis compete in the year’s first sprint race at Long Beach. A victory on the challenging 1.968-mile street course would be a first for Winward as Long Beach is one of the few tracks on the IMSA tour on which they have yet to score a victory.

Joining Winward in Saturday’s 100-minute sprint – the shortest WeatherTech GTD race of the season – will be the No. 32 Korthoff Competition Motors Mercedes-AMG GT3 of co-drivers Seth Lucas and Kenton Koch. The No. 32 finished third at Long Beach last year with then team drivers Mikael Grenier and Mike Skeen.

Lucas and Koch have stepped in as this season’s fulltime duo and both make their Long Beach debuts. For the 19-year-old Lucas, Long Beach will be the first street race of his career as well as his first on-site experience of any kind – spectator or competitor – at a temporary road course.

Joining Kurtz and CrowdStrike by Riley in GT America is Jason Daskalos in the No. 27 CRP Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Jeff Burton in the No. 91 Regulator Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3.

Daskalos swept last year’s GT America race wins at Long Beach after Kurtz withdrew from the event early in the weekend to tend to a personal matter. Familiar competitors in recent years, this weekend’s races are highly anticipated rematches at Long Beach between Mercedes-AMG stalwarts Daskalos and Kurtz.

Burton moves to the single driver GT America series at Long Beach with some winning momentum of his own. At the Sonoma opener two weeks ago, Burton co-drove the No. 91 to a Sunday GT World Challenge America powered by AWS race win with Ellis. He suits up for a GT America solo run this weekend for the first time since 2023’s season-opening race.

Practice and qualifying for the IMSA WeatherTech Championship takes place Friday, April 11, with the start for the 100-minute sprint on Saturday, April 12 set for 2:05 p.m. PDT. Fans in the United States can watch live on NBC’s Peacock, while international audiences can view a livestream of the race on the IMSA YouTube channel.

After practice and qualifying on Friday, the Long Beach weekend’s GT America races are scheduled to start at 5:20 p.m. PDT on Saturday and 11:20 a.m. PDT on Sunday. Both races and Friday’s qualifying session can be viewed live on SRO’s official YouTube channel GT World at https://www.youtube.com/@GTWorld.

Philip Ellis, Driver – No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3: “Long Beach has been one of those tracks where we haven’t been super lucky yet. We have always been kind of okay, but it has definitely not been a strong suit in the past. It is an important race on the calendar, so we will take it as it comes and just get the maximum that we can out of a clean and safe weekend. It is still a long run ahead in the championship, and we don’t want to really go for single results any more after a good start to the season. The target is clear that we want to go for a title defense, and we will do just that. At Long Beach, that just means surviving the weekend and grabbing a handful of points. If that’s the top five, that’s fine. Due to the track’s narrow nature, especially the last couple of corners that are really tight and tough, we just have to keep our focus on the big picture, especially in the heat of the day. What we have to do to start with is have a good qualifying because track position is key.”

Kenton Koch, Driver – No. 32 Korthoff Competition Motors Mercedes-AMG GT3: “So, this will be the first opportunity I actually get to race at Long Beach. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, watching the streets of Long Beach with IndyCar, Trans Am, IMSA and World Challenge throughout those times. This is a dream to come here and to be able to finally get to race here. This is pretty huge is my mentality coming into the weekend. More or less, I’m just going to try to enjoy my time and enjoy the event, enjoy the track and enjoy friends and family as part of it. It’s also Seth’s first opportunity to race here, so we’re going to be a bunch of newbies coming into this thing! There’s lots of tools and things you can do to get ready, so I think we’re going to be pretty prepared for everything that we can. From there, we will see how we do. Korthoff Competition has done well and has had some speed in the last couple of rounds. Now we are at the first sprint race of the year, and hopefully we can continue to have that speed.”

Find a Car Online: Smart Shopping for Your Perfect Ride

Car shopping has changed a lot recently. Thanks to new online tools, it’s now much easier to find a car that fits what you want and can afford. This guide will show you how to use the internet to make buying a car a fun and straightforward process.

Key Factors for Your Car Budget

  • Total savings available
  • Monthly income and expenses
  • Loan interest rates
  • Insurance premiums
  • Fuel efficiency
  • Maintenance costs

Why Buy a Car Online?

Buying a car online has many benefits:

  • Shop anytime: Look at cars whenever you want, day or night, from home or on your phone.
  • More choices: See cars from many dealerships and sellers, not just those near you.
  • Easy price comparison: Quickly compare prices to get the best deal and save money.
  • No pressure: Take your time to decide without feeling rushed by salespeople.

Online car shopping lets you explore different types of cars, from small city cars to big family vehicles, with just a few clicks. This makes it easy to research and compare cars to find the one that’s right for you.

Setting Your Budget and Priorities

Before you start looking at cars online, it’s essential to know how much you can afford to spend. This will help guide your search and keep you from spending too much. Think about:

  • How much money have you saved
  • Monthly payments if you’re getting a loan
  • Insurance costs
  • Gas, repairs, and other expenses

After you know your budget, think about what you need in a car. Do you want a big luxury SUV with cool features? Or would an electric vehicle that saves gas money be better for you? Knowing what you want will help you find the right car online.

How to Find the Right Car Online

Now that you know your budget and what you want, here’s how to find a car online:

  1. Use search filters: select the type of car, price range, and features to narrow down your choices.
  2. Read descriptions carefully: Look for important info about the car’s condition and history.
  3. Check lots of pictures: Look at photos from all angles to see what the car looks like.
  4. Compare prices: Make sure you’re getting a fair deal by looking at prices for similar cars.
  5. Read reviews: See what experts and other drivers say about the cars you like.

New vs. Used Cars: What’s Best for You?

Deciding between a new and a used car is a big choice. Here’s what to think about:

New Cars:

  • Have the latest features and technology
  • Come with full warranty coverage
  • Don’t have any history of problems
  • It costs more to buy and insure

Used Cars:

  • It costs less to buy
  • Don’t lose as much value right away
  • Might have some wear and tear
  • Could have hidden problems

If you’re looking at used cars, always check the vehicle history report. This tells you about accidents, repairs, and how well the vehicle was maintained.

  2. Ask the seller lots of questions about the car’s history and condition.
  3. Try to see the car in person if you can, or ask for a video call to see it live.
  4. Find out all the costs, including taxes and fees.
  5. For used cars, have a mechanic check them out if possible.

Top Considerations When Buying a Car Online

  • Price
  • Safety Features
  • Fuel Efficiency
  • Reliability
  • Technology

Understanding Car Financing

Most people need a loan to buy a car. Here’s what you should know about car loans:

  • Your credit score affects the interest rate you’ll get. Better credit means lower interest.
  • A bigger down payment can lower your monthly payments and might get you a better loan.
  • Shorter loans usually mean higher monthly payments but less interest paid overall.
  • Check with different banks and lenders to find the best loan deal.

Try to get pre-approved for a car loan before you start shopping. This helps you know how much you can spend and what interest rate you’ll get.

Will it be tire-management or wide open speed at Bristol during the Food City 500?

A host of Cup challengers including Kyle Larson (5) who will go for his second Bristol win in a row and also try to sweep all races this weekend.

NASCAR Cup Series teams strategies vary as most are wondering which Bristol they will get this weekend

BRISTOL, Tenn. (April 10, 2025) – Last season Bristol Motor Speedway showed the NASCAR Cup Series teams a couple of very different looks during the circuit’s two visits to the challenging half-mile in the Northeast Tennessee hills.

In the spring, teams faced a tire-management situation like they hadn’t seen on the concrete high-banks in quite some time. Denny Hamlin was able to figure out the puzzle quickly and scored a victory. Every driver said they had fun in the race and the fans loved it too.

In the fall, Kyle Larson and his crew set his No. 5 Chevy for maximum speed and ripped around the bullring like the old saying that is often used to describe racing at BMS, “like a fighter jet getting turned loose in a gymnasium.” Larson led a whopping 462 laps and won the race by a full seven seconds over his closest challenger.

As teams sit down to discuss which Bristol they are likely to see at the Food City 500 Sunday at 3 p.m. (FS1, PRN Radio), a few crew chiefs and drivers are still scratching their heads. Will it be the tire-management chess match, or the wide open showtime fast-break speed show.

“This is the magic question of the weekend for the race teams,” Austin Cindric said. “The decisions are made today for the cars and they are packed away and done before we have any data from the track this weekend. Some of it has to do with the temperature. This weekend will teach the whole garage a lot about kind of what’s going on with the tires, the track and the prep.”

Hamlin will try to go back-to-back at Bristol’s spring race and also claim his third consecutive victory on the season. He is riding some momentum in the No. 11 Gibbs entry with wins the past two weeks at Darlington and Martinsville. Hamlin says he’s expecting the same super-fast Bristol that we saw last September.

“I would expect that we would have the normal Bristol (this year), where your tires don’t wear that much, if it’s the same tire,” Hamlin said “Temperatures look to be up, so I would say that we would have kind of the normal Bristol that we’ve had most of the time.”

The one thing that is certain: every team will have to face the same challenge, no matter what it is. And that’s always what makes Bristol Motor Speedway fun.

Speaking of fun, Larson is set for his second trifecta attempt of the season. After coming up one race short at Homestead in mid-March, Larson will try to sweep the weekend by competing in the Craftsman Truck race, the Xfinity race and the Cup race. Only Kyle Busch has turned that hat trick in the past, and he has done it twice, both coming at Bristol, his first in 2010 and second in 2017.

“Hopefully we can go there and be fast again and control the race like we did last fall,” Larson said. “Even if it doesn’t go that way, I feel like our car is good enough to run up front. I just hope we can contend for a win and that will be great. We will give it our best shot and try to execute to the best of our ability in all three divisions.”

Another storyline to watch is Jesse Love making his Cup Series debut at the controls of the No. 33 Chevy for Richard Childress Racing. Love also will be competing in the Xfinity Series SciAps 300, where he drives the No. 2 Chevy full-time for RCR. He said it was the perfect fit for him to make his Cup debut at the iconic .533-mile oval.

“I love concrete, the fact you can run multiple lanes and the steep banking, I enjoy all those things about Bristol” Love said. “When I look at how intimidated I was the first time I was there, I have really come a long way to love Bristol and now it’s one of my favorites on the schedule.”

In addition to Larson, there are a slew of drivers who run well at Bristol and should be considered among the pre-race favorites, including Hamlin, Christopher Bell, Chase Elliott, Chris Buescher, William Byron, Ty Gibbs, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Tyler Reddick and Kyle Busch, the active driver with the most Bristol Cup victories (9).

Some emerging stars are also worth keeping an eye on, including Carson Hocevar, Shane Van Gisbergen, recent winner in the Wood Brothers famed 21 Josh Berry, and Noah Gragson, who has won at Bristol multiple times in the Xfinity Series.

In addition to cheering on their favorite drivers on the track, Bristol Motor Speedway fans will definitely want to take advantage of so many activities to make a complete weekend of family fun. There will be great video entertainment provided by Colossus TV, the world’s largest center-hung video screen, premium VIP experiences, tailgating, on-site camping, concerts and other entertainment at the Food City Fan Zone Stage headlined by Trackside Live with Kenny Wallace and John Roberts, great food and beverages in the concession stands throughout the property, and so much more.

Elliott leads all active NCS drivers in average starting position with a 7.800 in 15 starts. “I love Bristol. It’s probably, to me, the best track on the circuit. It’s a great environment to race in and always a lot of excitement. The track is cool, and it’s banked up … but the environment is always what comes to mind there.”
  • Kyle Larson has one pole, two wins, seven top fives, 12 top 10s, and the second-best average finish of 11.0. “To me, it’s the closest style to a dirt sprint car race, although it’s a lot longer. Just the intensity, the aggression, the fast-paced style of that race I’m comfortable with. I just love that track. I look forward to going there.”
  • Christopher Bell has one pole, three top fives, five top 10s, and an average Finish of 12.571. Bell enters this weekend with four consecutive top-10s, and he won the 2023 spring Bristol dirt race.

With 36 starts at Bristol, Busch leads all active NCS drivers, and he leads the series among active drivers in wins with eight victories in 36 starts with 2,598 laps led in 36 starts. “Bristol’s one of my favorite tracks, if not my favorite. I love going there, it’s obviously a great place. It reminds me of the local short track atmosphere that you get on Saturday nights, growing up racing late models and things like that. It’s a lot of fun, I love the banking, I love the concrete and just the nature of that place.”
  • Denny Hamlin has four poles, four wins, 12 top fives, 19 top 10s, and an average Finish of 13.286. Hamlin leads all active NCS drivers in poles with four (2013, 2014, 2015, 2019).
  • Chris Buescher is coming off a sixth-place effort last weekend at Darlington Raceway and five top-10 finishes in the first eight races. He led 17 laps and finished 7th in the spring race last season.
  • Brad Keselowski will make his 28th NCS start at Bristol. He has three wins, 10 top-10s, and an average finish of 16.2.

Berry Ready to Bounce Back This Weekend at Bristol

Josh Berry and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team are headed into Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway hoping to put behind them the bad luck that has kept them from capitalizing on fast Ford Mustangs in the past two races. At Martinsville, Berry led 40 laps in the early going before electrical issues knocked him out of contention. Then last Sunday at Darlington he moved up from his 24th starting position to fifth place only to be involved in a crash that took him out of the race.

Now he’s headed to Bristol, where in last year’s Food City 500, driving for his previous team, he qualified on the outside pole and led twice for 25 laps before finishing 12th.

“I’m definitely looking forward to getting to Bristol,” Berry said. “It’s its own beast and is unique in how it races compared to other short tracks. Last week didn’t go the way we wanted, but this group always shows up ready to bounce back, and I feel good about where we are heading into the weekend. If we can qualify strong and stay clean on pit road, I know we’re capable of putting together a solid day.”

Practice at Bristol is set for Saturday at 2 p.m. Eastern Time to be followed by qualifying at 3:05. Amazon Prime will carry the TV coverage. Sunday’s 266.5-mile, 500-lap race is set to get the green flag just after 3 p.m. with TV coverage on FS1. Stage breaks are planned for laps 125 and 250.

Cracker Barrel Named Entitlement Partner for NASCAR Cup Series Race at Nashville Superspeedway

Lebanon-based Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® partners with Nashville Superspeedway for the June 1 running of the Cracker Barrel 400, uniting two local cornerstones in a multi-year deal

LEBANON, Tenn. — Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® has been named the entitlement partner for the June 1 NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway — the first race in a multi-year agreement, officials announced today. The Cracker Barrel 400 will spotlight two Tennessee institutions, uniting them to celebrate rich community and authentic experiences on a national and international stage.

The multifaceted partnership will kick off with the debut of the Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, which is just over 10 miles from the original Cracker Barrel store. The Cracker Barrel 400 NASCAR Cup Series race is scheduled for June 1 at 6 p.m. CT; it will air on Amazon Prime Video, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. After the Cracker Barrel 400 and over the summer, NASCAR fans can expect more pop-up experiences from the brand at Speedway Motorsports destinations across the country.

“This partnership with Cracker Barrel is a landmark for Nashville Superspeedway and Middle Tennessee,” said Matt Greci, general manager of Nashville Superspeedway. “Cracker Barrel started here in Lebanon, and its growth into a national brand reflects the strength of this community. Pairing that legacy with our NASCAR Cup Series weekend reinforces our shared commitment to putting our guests at the center of everything we do, making this race a true celebration of home.”

Cracker Barrel is on a multi-year transformation journey designed to revitalize its iconic brand and fuel growth. This partnership signifies a milestone in that journey as the brand aims to deepen its connection with guests outside of its brick-and-mortar stores. Cracker Barrel delivers a unique experience rooted in country hospitality to nearly 200 million guests a year in approximately 660 locations in 44 states.

“Over 55 years ago, we opened our doors in Lebanon, and this partnership with Nashville Superspeedway feels like a homecoming,” said Sarah Moore, Cracker Barrel’s chief marketing officer. “Middle Tennessee is foundational to our beginnings — country hospitality, hard work and a commitment to putting people at the heart of everything we do. The Cracker Barrel 400 lets us share that with NASCAR’s global audience while honoring the community where it all began.”

Speedway Motorsports, a leading marketer and promoter of motorsports entertainment, operates Nashville Superspeedway and other top-tier facilities that draw millions of fans each year. This new partnership extends Cracker Barrel’s reach beyond Nashville with activations planned for guests and NASCAR fans at Speedway Motorsports tracks nationwide this season and in years to come.

“Cracker Barrel and Speedway Motorsports both bring people together — whether over a meal or at the track,” said Kevin Camper, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Speedway Motorsports. “This multi-year partnership ties Cracker Barrel’s iconic brand to our sport’s foundation. It’s an honor to showcase their story to fans across the country.”

Nashville Superspeedway, which has more than 1,000 camping spaces and unlimited tailgating areas, hosts racing, car shows, corporate outings and family events as part of Speedway Motorsports’ portfolio. The Cracker Barrel 400 will headline a May 30-June 1 NASCAR triple-header weekend that’s designed to draw visitors to Lebanon and boost the region’s visibility and economy.

More details about race weekend will be announced later this spring.
