TOYOTA QUOTES

COREY HEIM, No. 11 Safelite Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, TRICON Garage

Finishing Position: 8th

How do you reflect on this one?

“Yeah, I don’t know. I thought we were really good all day. I had a really good Tundra TRD Pro. Huge thank you to Safelite, Toyota, TRICON for all of their efforts. I felt like if we had the track position we would have been in really good shape from the very start. Just didn’t have a good qualifying effort on my end. It was kind of an uphill battle from there all day. I didn’t exactly know what happened there the last 40 laps there, but we pitted, and it seems like some of the other guys didn’t run of fuel. Unfortunate. Just a weird deal in that last stage but have to be better on my part to qualifying better and have the track position – again, big thank you to TRICON Garage, Safelite and Toyota for all of their efforts.”

GIO RUGGIERO, No. 17 First Auto Group Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, TRICON Garage

Finishing Position: 10th

Second straight top-10 for you. How was racing at The Rock?

“It was pretty cool. I had a lot of fun racing here today. Super fast track. We were out front for a while. I thought our First Auto Group Tundra drove really good in clear air. We definitely improved on a couple of things, so we have a lot of great momentum moving into the next one.”

STEWART FRIESEN, No. 52 Halmar International Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, Halmar Friesen Racing

Finishing Position: 29th

What was your perspective?

“Big thank you to all of my guys. I was trying to go wide open in qualifying and kissed the wall. They did a really good job putting it back together – it was just as fast as it ended practice. Was just trying to bide our time. Saw Rajah (Caruth) get loose, tried to check-up as much as I could, and then just got run over. It is what it is.”

Tony Stewart Eyes NHRA History At American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals

Tony Stewart returns to zMAX Dragway for the American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals, April 25-27, aiming to make history as the 1,000th Top Fuel race winner and add a second Wally to his growing NHRA legacy. (Courtesy: NHRA)
  • Following his first-ever Top Fuel triumph at last week’s NHRA 4-Wide Nationals in Las Vegas, Tony Stewart looks to make history as the 1,000th Top Fuel winner and add a second Wally to his collection at the American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway next weekend
  • Tickets for the April 25-27 spectacle are on sale at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com

CONCORD, N.C. (April 18, 2025) — No matter the car, series or surface, NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart has raced in almost all of them. Over his 25-year career, Stewart is the only driver in history to claim championships in both NASCAR and IndyCar, and now sets his sights on NHRA glory. Looking to make history in the 1,000th Top Fuel race of NHRA’s storied history, Stewart heads to zMAX Dragway for the American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals, April 25-27.

After a milestone weekend in Las Vegas last weekend, Stewart took home his very first Top Fuel victory, marking another step forward toward the ultimate goal of another championship.

“I feel like the first one is always the hardest one to win,” said Stewart. “I feel like so many times when you’re trying to win that first one, emotion gets in the equation and the nerves get in. Once you win that first one, everybody calms down because their demeanor is different.”

As a familiar name at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Stewart captured the Bank of America 500 trophy in 2003 and a NASCAR All-Star Race victory in 2009. This time around, he aims to etch his name into NHRA history.

“I realize winning one race in drag racing isn’t rotating the earth by any means; it’s one win, but I think for what it means to me and what it does in the history books of motorsports, it was a very significant weekend with everything that we’ve won in,” said Stewart. “Now, you add a Top Fuel dragster to that, no one in the history of motorsports has ever done that, so to add that to the history books is what I think is personally at this point is the one thing that sticks out in my mind.”

As NHRA gears up for its 1,000th Top Fuel event, Stewart recognizes the magnitude of the moment for the sport’s history.

“Me being a part of the sport, going into their 1,000th race and knowing that NHRA’s 75th anniversary is next year and being a part of that in some capacity is really cool to be a part of,” said Stewart. “I got to be a part of NASCAR’s 50th, and I just know how important historic moments like these are.”

Fans can watch Stewart go for a breakout time and chase another Wally next weekend at zMAX Dragway. Qualifying runs are set for April 25-26, with action-packed eliminations to follow Sunday, April 27, where four drivers will be crowned American Rebel Light 4-Wide champions.

“Itasha Wraps: Where Anime Meets Asphalt”

Anime isn’t just something fans watch anymore it’s something they drive. Itasha wraps are colorful, high-impact car designs that feature beloved characters from anime, manga, or video games. What started in Japan as a niche trend has now rolled into streets around the world, turning cars into bold expressions of fandom. The word “Itasha” roughly means “painful car”  not because it hurts to look at, but because the flashy designs can be embarrassing or “painfully” geeky to some.

But to fans, it’s a badge of pride. These wraps aren’t just for show; they’re personal statements. From full-body wraps to small character decals, each Itasha tells a story. Some drivers even match their car interiors, sound systems, and outfits to their chosen theme. It’s more than just customization, it’s art on wheels. Itasha culture blends creativity, passion, and community, giving anime lovers a whole new way to bring their favorite characters to life.

What Is Itasha? A Look into Otaku Car Culture

Itasha is a Japanese term that refers to the practice of covering a car with anime, manga, or video game character decals or full-body wraps. The word “Itasha” is derived from “ita,” meaning painful or cringe-worthy, and “sha,” meaning car. The term reflects the somewhat humorous and bold nature of the practice, as fans proudly display their love for anime on their vehicles. Itasha cars are often seen as mobile expressions of fandom, turning a simple car into a unique work of art.

The Itasha trend has become a staple in otaku culture, which refers to people who are passionate about anime and manga. For otaku, these decorated cars are not just vehicles they are a way to connect with other fans and showcase their love for their favorite characters. Whether it’s a large wrap featuring an iconic anime character or smaller decals on the car’s windows and bumpers, Itasha cars serve as a fun, creative way for anime lovers to personalize their vehicles and make a statement.

The Origins: Tracing the History of Itasha in Japan

Itasha’s origins date back to the early 2000s, when anime and manga culture were beginning to gain massive popularity in Japan. The trend began among young anime enthusiasts in the Akihabara district of Tokyo, a hub for anime and electronics. Early adopters of the Itasha style were typically car enthusiasts who were also anime fans. They started by placing small stickers of their favorite anime characters on their cars. Over time, these simple decals evolved into larger, more elaborate designs, with full-body car wraps becoming a symbol of fandom.

As anime continued to grow in popularity, Itasha also gained more attention and recognition, particularly in otaku circles. Fans started gathering at anime conventions and car shows to showcase their custom-designed vehicles. The rise of online communities and social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram allowed people from all over the world to share photos of their Itasha cars, further spreading the trend beyond Japan’s borders. What began as a niche subculture has since blossomed into an international phenomenon, with Itasha cars now spotted in countries across the globe.

Itasha Design: Art, Aesthetics, and Anime Icons

The design of an Itasha car is where the fun really begins. These cars often feature vibrant, detailed artwork that incorporates characters from anime, manga, or video games. Some Itasha designs are minimalist, with just a few well-placed decals, while others cover the entire vehicle in a colorful, eye-catching wrap. These designs are often custom-made by artists who specialize in anime and manga art, adding a high level of detail and personal flair to each wrap.

Popular characters such as Hatsune Miku, Naruto, or even iconic ones like Goku from Dragon Ball Z are frequently featured in Itasha designs. However, the possibilities are endless. The creative freedom allows car owners to represent their own unique interests within the anime world. Some fans choose to feature lesser-known characters, showcasing their deep love for niche anime series. For many, an Itasha wrap is more than just decoration; it’s a way to bring their favorite anime worlds to life on the road and share their passion with others.

DIY vs. Professional Wraps: Which Route to Take?

DIY vs. Professional Wraps: Which Route to Take

When it comes to creating an Itasha car, fans often face the choice between doing it themselves (DIY) or hiring a professional. DIY Itasha wraps are an affordable and hands-on option for fans who want to personalize their cars without breaking the bank. DIY enthusiasts can purchase anime-themed decals or vinyl wraps and apply them themselves. While this allows for total creative freedom, it also requires skill, patience, and time to ensure the design looks clean and professional. DIY wraps might not last as long, and small imperfections may appear if the process isn’t done carefully.

On the other hand, professional Itasha wraps offer a higher level of precision and quality. Professional wrap shops specialize in full-body vinyl wraps that are durable, long-lasting, and seamlessly applied to the vehicle. These wraps often use high-quality materials that resist fading from UV exposure and are more resistant to peeling or cracking. While professional wraps come at a higher cost, they provide a polished look that can stand out in car shows or events. For those who want the best possible result without worrying about imperfections, hiring a professional is often the best choice.

Global Spread: From Tokyo Streets to Worldwide Car Shows

Although Itasha culture originated in Japan, its popularity has spread far beyond the country’s borders. The trend gained traction in other parts of the world as anime fandoms grew globally. Itasha cars can now be seen in cities across the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Car enthusiasts and anime fans from all walks of life are embracing the trend, incorporating their favorite characters into custom designs for their own vehicles.

Itasha has also made a significant impact at international conventions and car shows. Events such as Anime Expo in the United States and the Tokyo Auto Salon have showcased stunning Itasha cars that continue to inspire others. The global reach of social media has also played a significant role in spreading the trend, with photos of Itasha cars often going viral on platforms like Instagram and Twitter. As anime continues to grow in popularity worldwide, it’s likely that the Itasha trend will keep expanding, with even more fans customizing their vehicles to reflect their love for anime.

The reactions to Itasha cars can be quite polarizing. On one hand, there are many who love the bold, creative expression of fandom that Itasha represents. For many anime fans, these cars are a fun and unique way to connect with others who share their interests. They enjoy the opportunity to showcase their favorite characters and anime worlds in such a visible, interactive way. Itasha cars often stand out in car meets, conventions, and even on city streets, sparking conversations and admiration.

However, not everyone appreciates the loud and colorful nature of these cars. Some people find Itasha cars distracting or too flashy, and there can be negative reactions from those who don’t understand the subculture. There are also legal considerations to keep in mind. While Itasha cars are legal in most places, drivers must adhere to local traffic regulations, including rules about window tinting, reflective materials, and ensuring that the design doesn’t obstruct the driver’s view. As with any form of customization, Itasha owners need to balance personal expression with road safety and public acceptance.

Famous Itasha Cars That Turn Heads Everywhere

Famous Itasha Cars That Turn Heads Everywhere

Over the years, certain Itasha cars have gained fame for their striking designs and unique appeal. These cars are often featured at anime conventions and car shows, where they draw large crowds of enthusiastic fans. Some of the most famous Itasha cars include high-end vehicles like Lamborghinis wrapped in Neon Genesis Evangelion artwork or modified street cars decorated with Love Live! characters. These cars have gained social media attention and often go viral, inspiring other fans to create their own custom designs.

Some Itasha cars are so impressive that they win awards at automotive events. They stand out for their creativity, technical skill, and flawless execution. Whether they feature highly detailed character illustrations or vibrant, dynamic designs, these famous cars have become a symbol of the Itasha subculture. They not only celebrate anime fandom but also showcase the growing influence of Itasha as an art form within car culture.

How to Get Your Own Itasha Wrap

If you’re interested in getting your own Itasha wrap, the first step is choosing your design. You’ll want to pick characters, themes, or artwork that represent your favorite anime series. Many fans go for a full-body wrap, but if you prefer a more subtle look, you can opt for smaller decals or accents on specific parts of the car, such as the windows, doors, or hood. Once you’ve settled on your design, it’s time to decide whether you want to go the DIY route or hire a professional.

If you decide to tackle it yourself, you can find anime-themed decals and wraps online or in specialized stores. DIY wraps are more affordable, but they require careful preparation and application. If you want a flawless, high-quality wrap, professional wrap services are available at specialty shops. They can handle the entire process, from design to installation, ensuring that the wrap fits perfectly and lasts for years. With the right materials and expertise, your car can become a stunning, one-of-a-kind piece of anime art.

CB Fabricating Returns with Greg Van Alst in Rockingham Speedway Return

ROCKINGHAM, N.C.: NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Greg Van Alst returns to action at Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway on Saturday afternoon for the North Carolina Education Lottery 250, backed by longtime partner CB Fabricating.

Based in Anderson, Ind., CB Fabricating provides a full range of fabrication services, including design, laser cutting, CNC punching, forming, welding, powder coating and assembly.

Located in Greg Van Alst’s hometown, the company returns as the primary partner for the fourth time in 2025.

Van Alst heads to Rockingham Speedway with his Joey Gase Motorsports with Scott Osteen team aiming for a season-best finish as they look to turn around a challenging start to the year.

“It’s definitely been a tough start to the year,” said Van Alst. “We’ve had speed, but the results haven’t shown it. This weekend at Rockingham is a chance to reset, keep our nose clean, and assemble the kind of run we know we’re capable of.”

During a January test session, Van Alst was set to make his first laps at Rockingham Speedway. However, when another driver encountered issues with the team’s car, Van Alst never got the chance to hit the track.

Despite being sidelined, he made the most of the situation — diving into the data and gathering insight from other drivers to prepare for what to expect in this weekend’s race.

“It was frustrating not being able to get on track, but I wasn’t going to waste the opportunity,” added Van Alst. “I soaked up everything I could from the data and leaned on some of the guys who did get laps. It gave me a better idea of what to expect when we unload this weekend.”

While the weekend comes with its share of unknowns — thanks to Rockingham’s recent repave and the Xfinity Series returning to the historic track for the first time in over two decades — Van Alst is focused on making the 250-lap event one of his strongest showings of the season.

“There’s definitely some uncertainty with the repave and no recent notes to lean on,” explained Van Alst. “But that’s part of the challenge, and I’m looking forward to it. If we can stay adaptable and make good adjustments, this could be one of our best races yet.

“Everyone on this Joey Gase Motorsports with Scott Osteen team has been working hard to turn our season around, and Rockingham feels like a real opportunity to start building momentum.”

In the midst of a demanding five-race stretch that wraps up next weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, Van Alst remains grateful for the continued support of longtime partner Chris Barkdull and CB Fabricating —steadfast allies who have stood by his side throughout a challenging rookie campaign.

Reflecting on this enduring partnership, Van Alst expressed his appreciation:

“Chris and everyone at CB Fabricating has meant the world to me,” expressed Van Alst. “Through every up and down, they’ve stood by my side and believed in what we’re building. Having that kind of support during a challenging rookie year keeps me motivated and reminds me why we keep pushing forward.”

Since 2023, Van Alst has had 12 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, earning a career-best 26th-place finish twice, most recently at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in February 2025.

The Triple Truck Challenge is only available to Truck Series Drivers. It features three races – Martinsville, Bristol, and Rockingham.
Daniel Hemric won at Martinsville and claimed his first career Triple Truck Challenge Bonus. Chandler Smith also earned his first bonus in the incentive program with his win at Bristol. Each driver received a $50k bonus. A second win at Rockingham by either driver would net them an additional $150,000 bonus.

Since there isn’t an eligible driver who will win all three races, no one will take home the $500K bonus this season.

Top Driver Statistics

Corey Heim is the only repeat winner so far this year. He was credited with the win at Daytona International Speedway after Parker Kligerman failed post-race inspection, and he won at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He is also the only driver to lead in all of the races this season.

Chandler Smith stands out as the only driver who has finished in the top 10 in all six Truck Series races this year. But did you know that Ron Hornaday Jr. holds the record for the most top-10 finishes to start a season, with 19 in 1996?

Tyler Ankrum and Heim lead all drivers with four top-five finishes in 2025.

You can tune into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Black’s Tire 200 at Rockingham Speedway on Friday, April 18, at 5 p.m. ET on FS1.

INDYCAR Updates Replacement Driver Status for Indianapolis 500

INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, April 17, 2025) – INDYCAR has informed race teams of a procedural update involving eligible drivers ahead of the 109th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. During a recent Team Manager call, teams were made aware that a replacement driver would be eligible with the following parameters:

  • A replacement driver will only be considered if the primary (entered) driver also is participating in another marquee event with the driver’s principal racing series on Indianapolis 500 Race Day.
  • The INDYCAR-approved veteran replacement driver is eligible for and passes the Indianapolis Motor Speedway refresher program in the entry during the first day of Indianapolis 500 practice.
  • Additional tires for the refresher program will not be allowed for the Indianapolis 500 entry. The tire allotment for each entrant is 32 sets for the event. Any tires used for the refresher program will be taken from the allotted tires to that entry.
  • During the refresher program, minimal setup changes will be allowed.
  • After the replacement driver completes the required phases of the refresher program, additional laps during the session will not be permitted.
  • Once INDYCAR is notified that a team will use its replacement driver for the Indianapolis 500, the entry’s qualified position is forfeited, and the car will start at the rear of the starting lineup and ordered according to Rule 8.1.8.6.
  • A qualified driver, who is officially replaced by the team, may return and compete with that entry provided the replacement driver has not participated in a session other than the refresher program. The car’s starting position will remain at the rear of the field with the starting lineup ordered according to Rule 8.1.8.6.

The 2025 INDYCAR rulebook will be updated to reflect these changes.

GRIDLIFE South Carolina Ignites the 2025 Season with a Record-Breaking Season Opener

From large crowds to 30+ hours of drifting and a groundbreaking Night Drift debut, the season opener at Carolina Motorsports Park set the tone for the biggest GRIDLIFE year yet

Kershaw, South Carolina (17 April 2025) — Engines roared, rubber burned and the Carolina air buzzed with electricity during the GRIDLIFE South Carolina Festival April 11-13. From sun-soaked afternoons to a floodlit showdown after dark, a record-breaking crowd packed the Carolina Motorsports Park paddock as more than 30 hours of GRIDLIFE drifting tore through two courses day and night.

Building on the momentum of a successful 2024 season, the GRIDLIFE South Carolina Festival launched the 2025 calendar with unmatched energy, a stacked lineup and something to prove.

GRIDLIFE’s new three-day fusion of motorsport, music and unapologetic car culture wasn’t just an evolution—it was a declaration: This is how we do it now.

Everything about the weekend was bigger. The grids were bigger with more than 200 participants. The racing and drifting was bigger, spread across three days on two different track configurations and more than 30 hours of drifting day and night. The crowd was the biggest it’s ever been in the event’s three-year history. The streaming production, the celebrity names on the guest list, the amount of track time—bigger, louder and more immersive.

GRIDLIFE South Carolina didn’t just set the tone for the season—it raised the bar.

“The 2025 season is off to a hell of a start,” said GRIDLIFE President Chris Stewart. “The energy, the format, the crowd—we wanted to evolve, and this weekend proved we’re on the right track.”

Night Drift Was the Moment

The scene Saturday night was pure theater: headlights slicing through mist, engines revving to redline and smoke curling into the darkness as GRIDLIFE Night Drift made its official debut on the .7-mile karting track. After a full day drifting on the big track, under glowing track lights, a lineup of all-stars including Grant Anderson, Cole Richards, Hert and Lee Yearwood tore through the night with calculated chaos.

The fans? They lost it. Packed fences. Screams over the screech. Phones in hand, fans captured a drifting spectacle that immediately blew up on social media. It was a first for GRIDLIFE at Kershaw and an instant entry into the culture’s highlight reel.

Motorsport and Music

Drivers pushed their limits in a weekend of intense battles, delivering exciting and unpredictable finishes.

The 2020 Eibach GRIDLIFE Touring Cup champion Eric Kutil returned to form in South Carolina, winning three of four races in dominant fashion before reigning champion Matan Rosenberg held him off by a nose in the Sunday finale. Their cars—polar opposites under the ruleset—delivered a tight duel. Eric Magnussen claimed third overall, while Eric Jensen impressed with a top-three finish and wild curb-hopping style in his LS-swapped FR-S.

The newly rebranded GRIDLIFE RUSH Series delivered edge-of-your-seat action with Ryan Leach sweeping all four races. Each time, Andy Voelkel and Nico Bratz kept him honest, especially in Race 1 where Leach snatched the win with a final-lap pass. YouTube stars TJ Hunt and Evan Shanks threw elbows mid-pack, while Nate Hamilton bounced back from a spin to finish inside the top 10 in points.

In TrackBattle’s Podium Sprint showdown, Chris Rice reset the Club SC track record in his Honda Fit with a time of 1:55.699-seconds, while Ryan Mathews doubled up in Street GT and Street Mod and rewrote the rear-drive Street GT record. Jerami Bailey shocked the Falken ClubTR field with a last-lap heater to take the win by half a tenth of a second in his FA24-swapped Scion FR-S .

While the track thundered with racing across the Eibach GLTC, RUSH Series and GRIDLIFE TrackBattle Time Attack, the infield pulsed to a different rhythm.

DJ Xcape, Jake Panda and Emo Nite with a special Grave Rave Set soundtracked the paddock late into Friday and Saturday night, turning tents and trailers into pop-up clubs. The result? An environment where race teams, fans and artists blurred into one community—raw, real and soaked in adrenaline.

Even off-track, the vibes didn’t quit. The new three-day festival format—the first time GRIDLIFE’s opened a season this way—hit all the right notes. With everything from pro-level driving to casual show-and-shine hangouts, there was no such thing as downtime. Just moments with friends turned into family.

The Tone Is Set

“The South Carolina Festival wasn’t just an opener—it was a line in the sand,” said Stewart. “A signal to fans, drivers and anyone watching that GRIDLIFE isn’t here to repeat seasons. It’s here to build on the legacy with something bigger, louder and more immersive.

“The 2025 GRIDLIFE season has officially begun, and if Carolina was the kickoff, the rest of the tour might just rewrite the playbook,” Stewart continued.

The next stop on the GRIDLIFE calendar is GRIDLIFE Special Stage Atlanta at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta May 9-10 where Formula DRIFT and GRIDLIFE will join forces for a first-of-its-kind collaborative event. In an unprecedented partnership between a track owner and two sanctioning bodies, the weekend will feature Formula DRIFT’s PRO and PROSPEC Championships alongside GRIDLIFE’s signature TrackBattle Time Attack, GLTC Touring Cup and GRIDLIFE RUSH Series. Highlighting the action is the highly anticipated return of GRIDLIFE Full Course Drift, where top-tier drivers—already on-site for Formula DRIFT—will take on the entire 2.54-mile circuit in a spectacle set to redefine Southeast drift culture.

INDY NXT Driver and Indiana Native Jack William Miller

Becomes Brand Ambassador for Fleddermann von Rieste
Aspiring INDYCAR Racer To Represent Brand’s Growing Line of Luxury Watches

INDIANAPOLIS (April 17, 2025) – Fleddermann von Rieste, an independent Indiana-based watch brand, has expanded its roster of brand ambassadors by welcoming INDY NXT driver Jack William Miller.

The 21-year-old Miller is the only INDY NXT driver born in the Hoosier State. He is from the Indianapolis suburb of Carmel and is currently in the midst of his junior year at Indiana University Indianapolis where he majors in biology.

Miller joins NASCAR Cup Series driver and fellow Hoosier Chase Briscoe as Fleddermann von Rieste ambassadors with each representing the brand’s growing line of high-quality timepieces. The partnership with Miller further amplifies Fleddermann von Rieste’s commitment to motorsports, aligning with drivers who exemplify passion, precision and performance. As part of this collaboration, Miller will work with Fleddermann von Rieste to promote its luxury watches, raising awareness to a broader audience within his home state and the motorsports community.

“Adding Jack William Miller to our ambassador lineup is a significant moment for Fleddermann von Rieste,” said Dr. Adam Fleddermann, CEO, Fleddermann von Rieste. “Jack’s dedication to his craft, his Indiana roots and his commitment to excellence on and off the track align perfectly with our brand’s values. Having both Jack and Chase Briscoe as part of the Fleddermann family is an incredible asset as each can emphasize the importance of precision engineering, craftsmanship and legacy in both racing and watchmaking.”

Miller has been racing since he was 3. It began in go-karts where he racked up numerous wins and championships. He later augmented that experience by racing snowmobiles, quads and motocross. By age 13, Miller transitioned to open-wheel racecars, specifically, the Formula 4 United States Championship. From 2017 through 2018, he competed in this first rung on the Road to Indy ladder before moving to USF2000 in 2019-2020. Next up was up USF Pro 2000 in 2021-2023. In 2024, Miller was a rookie all over again, joining INDY NXT, the stepping-stone division to the elite NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Now in his second INDY NXT season, Miller competes for Abel Motorsports and drives the No. 40 Patterson Dental Dallara.

“Racing has always been about time, and to be a racer representing and wearing Fleddermann von Rieste watches is a great honor. I’m a proud Hoosier and so is the Fleddermann family. We’re all able to wear that pride with the watches they make,” Miller said. “Every glance at your wrist provides a sense of achievement. It’s a reminder of how far you’ve come, but also where you want to be.”

Miller’s next event is the Grand Prix of Alabama May 4 at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. The 35-lap race around the 2.3-mile, 17-turn road course begins at 10:30 a.m. CDT/11:30 a.m. EDT with live coverage provided by FS1 and SiriusXM INDYCAR Nation Channel 218.

● Future Focused: In September, AM Racing announced that NASCAR Cup Series winner Harrison Burton would join the family-owned operation to pilot the team’s No. 25 Ford Mustang, beginning with the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener from Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on February 15, 2025.

Burton, a native of Huntersville, N.C., has been a staple in the NASCAR Cup Series for the past three seasons but will embrace a return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series and continue his relationship as a driver of the Ford blue oval.

Burton, 24, arrives on the scene at AM Racing after a 108-race stint driving for the historic Wood Brothers Racing team.

● Harrison Burton NASCAR Xfinity Series Rockingham Speedway Stats: Saturday afternoon’s North Carolina Education Lottery 250 will mark Burton’s NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at the historic Rockingham Speedway.

Although he hasn’t logged any official race laps at the 0.94-mile oval, Burton began building his 2025 Xfinity Series relationship with AM Racing during a two-day preseason test at the track in January.

The team made steady progress throughout the sessions, even setting the fastest time in one of them.

● Harrison Burton NASCAR Xfinity Series Career Stats: Entering Rockingham, Burton has 84 career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts to his credit with four wins, 26 top-five and 52 top-10 finishes, and a championship best result of eighth, twice in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Burton’s four wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series occurred during the 2020 season. Burton, the son of former NASCAR driver and current television analyst Jeff Burton, captured the checkered flag at Auto Club (Calif.) Speedway, Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, respectively.

Burton maintains a solid Xfinity Series average finishing position of 12.4 in four years of competition.

In addition to the 84 Xfinity Series starts, he has achieved 109 NASCAR Cup Series starts, 40 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series starts and 52 career starts across the ARCA Menards Series platforms.

● Bristol Motor Speedway | SciAps 300 Race Recap: The NASCAR Xfinity Series made its first of two trips to “Thunder Valley” for the SciAps 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

After posting solid lap times in practice with his No. 25 DEX Imaging Ford Mustang, Jeb Burton delivered a strong qualifying effort, earning a 10th-place starting spot for his Xfinity Series return in East Tennessee.

However, trouble struck early. On Lap 2, Burton ran over a piece of debris that cut down his right front tire. Fortunately, the caution flag flew almost simultaneously for debris on the track, allowing the AM Racing team to replace the tire without losing a lap.

Restarting at the rear of the field, Burton methodically worked his way inside the top 20 and remained on the lead lap at the end of Stage 1.

In Stage 2, while pushing toward the top 15, Burton suffered another flat tire—this time under green flag conditions — which significantly altered the team’s race strategy and momentum.

Despite the setbacks, the team battled to the finish and brought home a 26th-place result at the checkered flag.

● Thanks For Your Support: With 27 percent of the 2025 Xfinity season complete, AM Racing and Harrison Burton would like to thank their associate marketing partners for their support: AIRBOX Air Purifier, Dead On Tools, Eagle Rentals, Flying Circle, Mechanix Wear, Morton Buildings, Racing Radios, Volt Batteries and WIX Filters.

● From the Pit Box: Veteran race engineer and former NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Danny Efland is Harrison Burton’s crew chief.

He will be crew chief for his 14th career NASCAR Xfinity Series race, his first at Rockingham Speedway, on Saturday afternoon.

In his previous 13 Xfinity Series starts, he has collected one pole (Daytona International Speedway | February 2016), one top-five and four top-10 finishes.

Harrison Burton Quoteboard:

On Rockingham Speedway: “I’m really excited to get back behind the wheel at a place like Rockingham. It’s such a historic track with a lot of character, and it’s cool to be part of the Xfinity Series bringing racing back there.

“We had a good test in January with AM Racing, and I’m looking forward to building on that and seeing what we can do this weekend.”

On Keys to Success at Rockingham Speedway: “With the repave at Rockingham, we’re still learning a lot about how the track’s going to race.

“Typically, it’s been a place where tire wear is huge, but now it might be more about raw speed and track position. I think execution on restarts and staying ahead of the track as it changes through the run will be key to having a good day.”

On Bristol Motor Speedway Finish: “Bristol was a tough one for us. We had speed early and felt good about our car, but catching a flat tire that early really set us back. Then to have another one under green just made it an uphill battle.

“I’m proud of the fight from everyone at AM Racing to keep us in it. It wasn’t the finish we wanted, but we learned a lot that we can take with us moving forward.”

On 2025 Season Outlook: “I truly believe we can turn some heads in 2025. The goals we’ve set for ourselves aren’t just realistic—they’re within reach, and I know this AM Racing team has what it takes to execute and get into the Playoffs.”

“We’ve got a great group of people and partners who are fully behind what we’re building this season. Nothing would mean more to me than delivering AM Racing its first Xfinity Series win, locking into the Playoffs, and making a run at the championship.”

“It’s shaping up to be a really fun and exciting year.”

Race Information:

The North Carolina Education Lottery 250 (250 laps | 235 miles) is the 10th of thirty-three (33) NASCAR Xfinity Series races on the 2025 schedule. A fifty-minute practice will occur on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 3:05 – 3:55 p.m. Qualifying will follow on race day, April 19, 2025, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The field will take the green flag later in the day, shortly after 5:00 p.m., with live coverage on The CW Network, the Motor Racing Network (Radio), and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90.
