Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) will compete in the Pocono 400 presented by #NASCAR this weekend with Dave Blaney at Pocono Raceway. Blaney will get behind the wheel of the No. 10 TBR Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) event.

TBR AT POCONO – TBR’s start this weekend will be the team’s sixth start at the 2.5-mile triangle-shaped racetrack. Blaney scored the team’s best start of 21st in the August 2011 race and best finish of 26th in last season’s June event.

BLANEY AT POCONO – Blaney will make his 25th start at the “Tricky Triangle.” He scored two top-10s in his 24 starts. He collected his best finish of ninth in the August 2003 race. The Hartford, Ohio native posted his best starting spot of 14th in the June 2007 event while driving for Bill Davis Racing.

CHASSIS NO. 356 – TBR bought Chassis No. 356 in the off-season from Richard Childress Racing. This will mark Blaney first start in the chassis. Teammate David Reutimann drove the chassis at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Auto Club Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Kansas Speedway and Dover International Speedway this season. He had his best showing in the chassis at Texas Motor Speedway when he drove from the 31st starting spot to finish in 26th place. His best qualifying effort was at Kansas Speedway where he qualified in the 16th spot.

PRELUDE TO THE DREAM – Making his sixth start in the Prelude to the Dream tonight at Eldora Speedway, Blaney will pilot the Sanford Goddard No. 22 entry. The two-time King’s Royal Champion has a best finish of second in the charity event. The live, commercial-free, high-definition broadcast will begin at 8 p.m. EDT (5 p.m. PDT) with an immediate replay. The Prelude To The Dream has a suggested retail price of $24.95. Ordering information and up-to-the minute racing information is available at either www.PreludeToTheDream.org or www.HBO.com. IN THE POINTS – The No. 10 team is 34th in NSCS Owner Points and locked into the top-35 by 63 points. The TBR team is trailing the No. 32 by four points and is nine points ahead of the No. 36 TBR Chevrolet. Blaney is also 34th in NSCS Driver Points. He is 70 points ahead of David Stremme and trails teammate Reutimann by two points.

Dave Blaney Quotes: ON RACING AT POCONO – “This will be my first time running the No. 10 in the Cup Series after running it for so long on dirt, so that is cool. I really like Pocono. It is a whole new ball game with the new pavement. We will have to figure it out the best that we can, and having two extra days on track will help. It will help our team to be on the same page as everyone else. I think it is better to have the test closer to the race because it is fresh in your head.”

ON RACING IN THE PRELUDE TO THE DREAM – “I’m really looking forward to the Prelude to the Dream this week as well. I am driving Sanford Goddard’s car in the event. I drove for Sanford one time a while ago. We ran a charity race somewhere and ran really well. I hated to miss it last year, and they were nice enough to have me back. I really enjoy racing in the Prelude to the Dream at Eldora because a lot of the fans there were the ones who watched me back when I raced there in Sprint Cars. It’s also a lot of fun to race all the guys that are going to be out there and compete for the win.”

About Tommy Baldwin Racing: NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Crew Chief Tommy Baldwin formed Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) in 2009. Baldwin utilized a declining economy to open a NSCS team with a stringent budget. The team worked to build to full-time competition, and by the 2011 season, the team’s third season, TBR competed in every race and locked the No. 36 Chevrolet in the top-35 in NSCS Owner Points. Dave Blaney drove the No. 36 Chevrolet to TBR’s highest finish of third in the October 2011 event at Talladega Superspeedway. TBR also fielded a second car for select races in the past two seasons with multiple drivers.

Based in Mooresville, N.C., TBR will compete in the NSCS in 2012 with NASCAR veterans David Reutimann and Dave Blaney. The team will also compete in the NASCAR Nationwide Series with Ryan Blaney, Bobby Santos and Ryan Truex.
