Biffle on racing at Chicagoland Speedway:
“I love racing at Chicago, it’s a fun track to race on. Chicago is a real straightforward 1.5-mile track where you slide around a little bit, grip is always an issue and you’ll see everyone two and three wide on the race track. One of the most important things will be qualifying on Friday and getting a good starting position. It’s going to be a lot of fun and we’ll see the No. 16 in victory lane for the first race of the Chase.”
Crew chief Matt Puccia on racing at Chicagoland Speedway:
“Chicago is a good race track for us, especially since our intermediate program has been pretty good this year. So I’m looking forward to going to Chicago for that reason and since it’s the first race in the Chase. We are looking for getting a good run there and hopefully starting the Chase off on a good foot.”
FAST FACTS
• The Car: Chassis 817 is the car Biffle drove to victory at Michigan and also finished third with at Indy.
• Last Time at Chicago: Biffle started seventh and ran as high as second before he thought he had a flat tire on lap 92 and pitted under green. It was discovered that the radiator pan had come loose and eventually fell off which drastically affected the handling of the car. Biffle eventually finished two laps down in the 26th position.
• Chicagoland Stats: Biffle has an average starting position of 15.0 and average finish of 18.8 at Chicagoland.
• Point Standings: Prior to the Chase Biffle was the point leader and had two wins, which seeds him fifth heading into the final 10 races.
