BRUTON’S BIG BRISTOL GIVEAWAY GIVES 10 FORD MUSTANGS TO 10 FOOD CITY 500 FANS

BMSBRISTOL, Tenn. (Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013) – Giving away cars to fans both near and far… That’s the plan at the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway March 17.

During Bruton’s Big Bristol Giveaway, 10 fans in attendance at the Food City 500 will drive away with 2013 Ford Mustangs, making theirs the ultimate fan-friendly experience.

“I don’t know anybody who does not want to win a new car,” said BMS general manager Jerry Caldwell. “It’s one thing to give away a single car but giving away 10 is definitely something different, which is no surprise at all since the boss is the one who came up with the idea.

“This is something really exciting for our race fans and it just gives them something else to look forward to when they get here. It really can’t get much better than seeing a race at Bristol and winning a car. I think the fans are really going to enjoy this.”

Any fan who has purchased tickets to the Food City 500 will be entered to win a Mustang. Every ticket purchase makes the buyer eligible to win the car. Fans purchasing multiple tickets can be entered as many as 20 times, depending on the number of tickets they purchase. (For example, if six tickets are purchased, that fan receives six entries).  Fans also may enter to win by mailing an entry card to BMS; no purchase necessary.

Food City president and CEO Steven C. Smith, is thrilled that fans have this opportunity.

“What a great addition to Food City 500 race weekend,” he said. “Bruton’s Big Bristol Giveaway is going to make some folks extremely happy. Can you imagine winning a Mustang on top of being here for one of the greatest race weekends of the year?

“Bruton and Bristol Motor Speedway continue to find ways to make fans’ experience unforgettable and we couldn’t be happier that the fans here on March 17 are going to have the opportunity to leave the Food City 500 with a brand new car.”

The customized Mustangs will be worth a total of approximately $250,000.

Everyone who purchases a ticket before the Food City 500 weekend, including those who purchased before the giveaway was announced, will be automatically entered and all those that purchase at the box office will be able to register to win one of the Mustangs at special Bristol Motor Speedway/Mustang Promotion display stations.  Free on-site registration at the display stations will be available, as well.

Two finalists will be selected in advance of race week from mail-in entries.  Throughout Food City 500 race weekend (March 15-17), BMS officials will draw another 48 finalists, whose names will be displayed in the BMS/Mustang Display Setup.

Entrants with who have their name drawn will be instructed to meet at a set time and then escorted to Bristol’s famous pre-race ceremonies. The finalists will be given an electronic key and if their key is one of the winners, they’ll go home with a brand new Mustang.
