CASEY MEARS, No. 13 GEICO Ford Fusion –  “I don’t feel very good about that. I was hoping to run a 70 or 80 but it was really slick out there and we slid around a lot more. We lost a tenth from where we were in practice and we were hoping to pick up a tenth from practice so it just depends on how everybody else falls now.”

JOEY LOGANO, No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion –  “That was ugly. It isn’t going to be very good. It will end up 20th probably. I just couldn’t get the car to do one thing. It did about 15 different things on me. It was a lot different than what I had in practice and I need to figure out why. We weren’t very good in race trim either. It looked like at the end of qualifying practice we had something that maybe we could build off but that wasn’t what we expected for qualifying. We will see. Hopefully it ends up decent and we have two more practices tomorrow to get it good. I still have a lot of optimism though. I still love this place.”

CARL EDWARDS, No. 99 Subway Ford Fusion – “I was loose. We made a change to free it up a little bit and the track was slick and we ended up loose. If we had it to do over again I think we could have done it a little better but we just haven’t had the speed so far today. We have a lot of work to do tomorrow. We have two hours of practice and hopefully we can get it better. This is as good a track as there is for us and we have done really well here and won races. I feel very confident about this race track, we just have to get the car right.”

GREG BIFFLE, No. 16 RiteAid/Ace Ford Fusion – “It was a pretty good lap, we were just on the track with the front and there is nothing you can really do about that. The track is hot and slick which is surprising that we were on the track with the speeds being down a little bit. We were still on the track though. We struggled a little bit earlier with that and I thought we had shimmed it up enough but obviously not.”

RICKY STENHOUSE JR., No. 17 Best Buy Ford Fusion – “It was better than we were in practice, so that is positive. Scott (Graves) and I were just talking about it. We struggled really a lot to find some speed and some driveability and comfort. We made it better, we just didn’t quite make it enough better. We have a long day to practice tomorrow and plan on running a lot of laps. I think that is something we have kind of been missing. You watch some of these guys like the 2 and 48 or the 29, some of the guys like the 18 that run up front quite a bit, they run a lot of laps in practice. They know where their car is going to go on a long run. We haven’t really been doing that. We have been coming in and doing short runs. We are going to make some longer runs tomorrow and see if we can’t get this thing dialed in a little better than we have been the past few weeks.”
