Kevin Cornelius Finishes 8th at Peterborough Speedway

After being involved in an incident on the opening lap to the OSCAAR Super Late Model feature at Peterborough Speedway, Kevin Cornelius would finish eighth in the Chase for the Colors event.
Cornelius would win his first heat after starting on the pole.
In the second heat, he started fifth and finished second.
When it came time for the feature with his qualifying effort, Cornelius started on pole. However, the first lap wouldn’t work quite out as planned as coming off of turn two, Derrike Tiemersma came down and made contact with Cornelius, causing a flat tire on the No. 17 Super Late Model. Cornelius made a trip down pit road under the caution to change the tire and restarted the feature in the 13th position.
Over the course of the next green flag run before the second caution at lap 36, Cornelius began his climb through the field, moving into the eighth position. However, he also went a lap down to leader Brandon Watson on lap 20.
From the restart to the end of the race, Cornelius fought hard, trying to gain ground in the second half, though would finish eighth.
