CHICAGO-BOUND: Johanna Long and the No. 70 Foretravel Motorcoach Chevrolet team head to Chicagoland Speedway for the second time this NASCAR Nationwide Series season for the Dollar General 300. The ML Motorsports team will bring back chassis number 61 which was last used in Indianapolis in July.
RACING AT CHICAGOLAND: The first event at Chicagoland Speedway in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this July, Long noted she was struggling to find grip around the 1.5-mile track. After working her way up to 17th position she reported that she was extremely loose resulting in a 20th position finish.
IN THE REARVIEW: RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY: After a four week hiatus from the driver seat, the Pensacola, Fla., driver was able to consistently improve her 25th starting position throughout the race to take home a 19th-place finish.
CLOSE TO HOME: The ML Motorsports team will have the shortest distance to travel of any team this weekend. At 122 miles from their headquarters Chicagoland Speedway is the closest track the NASCAR Nationwide Series will visit for the team.
DOWN THE RED CARPET: On Thursday night in Chicago, the driver will ditch the fire suit for red-carpet attire. Long will attend the premiere of Flat Out, an AOL original series about K&N East driver Dylan Kwasniewski. Long makes a guest appearance on the show as well.
