Joey Coulter
No. 21 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado

This Week’s GMS Racing’s Chevrolet Silverado at Texas Motor Speedway … Joey Coulter will pilot Chassis No. 022 in the WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 at Texas Motor Speedway. The Jeff Stankiewicz-led team has unloaded this chassis five times previously this season, at Kansas Speedway, Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Pocono (Pa.) Raceway and at Michigan International Speedway. On August 16 at Michigan, the GMS Racing prepared chassis qualified ninth and finished in ninth position. This particular Chevrolet Silverado was previously a Richard Childress Racing (RCR) Chassis, which Coulter drove to victory lane for his first series win at Pocono Raceway in 2012.

Coulter in the “Lone Star State” … This weekend marks Coulter’s second Texas Motor Speedway appearance with GMS Racing. The Miami Springs, Fla., driver has made seven other NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the track. He has earned an average starting position of 11.6 and an average finishing position of 9.6 at the track. In June 2012 with Richard Childress Racing, the 24-year-old finished a career-best in third-place at the track. In addition, Coulter has one ARCA Racing Series start, finishing 23rd in 2010.

Texas Motor Speedway Rewind … Joey Coulter and the No. 21 Allegiant Travel team turned up the heat in Texas and collected their second consecutive top-10 finish of the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, finishing ninth in the WinStar World Casino & Resort 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway on June 6.

With low-low fares, nonstop flights, all-jet service and premier travel partners, Allegiant provides a complete travel experience with great value without all the hassle.

In the Rearview Mirror: Martinsville Speedway … After being involved in a mid-race incident at the Martinsville Speedway on October 25, Joey Coulter and the No. 21 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado team finished 30th in the Kroger 200.

JOEY COULTER QUOTE:

“This weekend’s race at Texas Motor Speedway is going to be really important for more than one reason. First, the fall race at Texas Motor Speedway is always a huge shake-up in the championship point standings, so we have to capitalize on every opportunity.  Second, with no testing next year for the series, we have to gather all of the data we can to get us ready for the Atlanta (Motor Speedway) spring event. It’s going to be a challenge, but it’s Texas, so it’s always fun too.”

Max Gresham
No. 23 AmWINS Group Inc. Chevrolet Silverado

This Week’s GMS Racing’s Chevrolet Silverado at Texas Motor Speedway … Max Gresham will pilot Chassis No. 024 in the WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 at the Texas Motor Speedway. Friday will mark its second appearance with the Ryan “Pickle” London-led team in the 2014 season. At Kansas Speedway, teammate Spencer Gallagher drove this chassis to a 30th-place result on May 9. Prior to being in the GMS Racing fleet, Chassis No. 024 spent time at Richard Childress Racing with Brendan Gaughan.

Season Finale … Texas Motor Speedway will mark Gresham’s fifth start of the 2014 season with GMS Racing. Gresham competed in a total of five events in the No. 23 AmWINS Group Inc. Chevrolet Silverado. Through four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2014 season, Gresham has completed 563 of 684 laps contested (82.3 percent).

The Stars at Night, are Big and Bright … The WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 will mark Gresham’s 42nd career NASCAR Camping World Series start and his fifth at Texas Motor Speedway. In four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the 1.5-mile oval, Gresham has one top-12 finish with an average finish of 18.2. During his trip to the intermediate track in November 2012, Gresham passed 11 trucks in 100 laps before scoring his career-best Texas finish at 12th-place.

Looking Back … After a strong qualifying effort of fifth place, Max Gresham struggled against handling issues throughout the WinStar World Casino 350 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Texas Motor Speedway on November 1, but he fought hard to claim an 18th-place finish.

Intermediate Track Stats … Gresham boasts 25 intermediate track (greater than 1 mile in length, but less than 2 miles in length) starts with an average starting position of 16.6 and an average finish of 21.3 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

In the Rearview Mirror: Martinsville Speedway … GMS Racing’s Max Gresham and the No. 23 AmWINS Group Inc. Chevrolet Silverado team exited the action-packed short track race at Martinsville Speedway on October 25 with a top-22 finish.

Max Gresham Quote:

“With this being my last race of the year with GMS Racing, I am going to do everything possible to make sure that the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season goes out with a bang! Texas Motor Speedway has been an up and down track for me, but GMS Racing has a super strong mile-and-a-half program and our No. 23 AmWINS Group Inc. Chevrolet Silverado will shine this week!”
