SETTING THE SOCIAL SCENE

@BrennanPoole on His XFINITY Series Debut in Las Vegas: “Man I needed to be better on restarts! Had a lot of fun today and learned a lot! Thanks‪ @DCSolar and @TeamHSMCG for a great weekend!”

MEET BRENNAN

On Saturday, March 14 from 8:30 – 9:15 a.m. MDT, Poole will sign autographs, along with several other XFINITY Series drivers, beside the PIR stage at the ROLL-BAR (located in turns one and two). Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. local time and fans should enter at Gate Three.

A LOOK BACK AT LAS VEGAS

Poole Makes a Splash in Las Vegas Debut:  Brennan Poole and sponsor DC Solar made their XFINITY Series debut in last Saturday’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Poole will make 14 additional starts for HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi in 2015.

Poole started in 16th position after advancing through two of the three rounds of knockout qualifying. The 200-lap race was highlighted by several long, green-flag runs, giving the team fewer opportunities to make adjustments to the car. Poole reported early in the race the car was getting looser with each passing lap. Past halfway, Poole’s crew made adjustments to the handling of the car, which changed it from loose to tight. Poole ran a race-high sixth with less than 50 laps to go and was able to remain in the top-10, and ultimately finished ninth.

Poole Joins Elite Company: Following his ninth-place finish in Las Vegas, Poole joined an elite list of XFINITY Series drivers who scored a top-10 finish in their Series debut. Since 2005, 22 drivers have accomplished this feat, including notable names like Joey Logano, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin.

BRENNAN POOLE ON PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

“Once again, I want to thank HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi, (Crew Chief) Mike (Shiplett) and all the guys on the team who made me feel very comfortable in my XFINITY Series debut in Las Vegas. Phoenix (International Raceway) is one of the most unique tracks I will have competed on. I’m focused on getting all of the track time that I can and putting on another good show for everyone at DC Solar.”

CREW CHIEF MIKE SHIPLETT ON PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

“Phoenix (International Raceway) is a very challenging track. We will take the same approach with Brennan that we did in Las Vegas and get him up to speed progressively through the practice sessions. Short tracks like Phoenix can be tough for rookies, but I am confident that Brennan and our team can come away with a solid finish.”
