RHODES RALLIES FOR 23rd

RICHMOND, Va. – Harrison Rhodes started Friday’s Virginia529 College Savings 250 near the back of the pack but raced hard all evening and came home with a 23rd-place finish at Richmond International Raceway.

“It seemed like I passed 100 cars,” Rhodes said. “We didn’t get a good starting spot, but the car was pretty good during the race. We stayed out of trouble and managed to move through the field.”

The finish allowed Rhodes to stay 24th in Xfinity Series points.

Chase Elliott won the race, and Chris Buescher kept the point lead.

The series moves on to Chicagoland Speedway Sept. 19 for the 26th race of the year.
