Armstrong at Phoenix International Raceway:
Dakoda will be making his fifth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Phoenix International Raceway to go along with one Camping World Truck Series start at the track.  Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 18th at the Phoenix track which he has done three times.
Dakoda’s Thoughts on Phoenix:
“Phoenix is a very difficult track to get a hold of your handling at. It is a flat track with very different corners so it is important to find a compromising balance on the handling of your car.  You need your car to turn really well in the corners but not get loose at the same time.”
“We made some progress last week on the handling of our No. 28 Toyota and the guys on this JGL Racing team have been working extremely hard.  All of us look forward to a strong performance this week in Phoenix.”
Las Vegas Rewind:
Dakoda Armstrong and his JGL Racing team entered Las Vegas with their sights set on kicking off NASCAR’s West Coast Swing on a positive note. In the end Lady Luck wasn’t on the side of Armstrong and his team as their No. 28 Winfield Toyota ran out of fuel under green flag racing in the second half of the event. When the checkered flag flew, Armstrong would steer his No. 28 Winfield Toyota to a frustrating 22nd-place finish in the running of the Boyd Gaming 300 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The 22nd-place finish would drop Armstrong to the 15th position in the overall NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers’ standings – just six points out of the top ten.
