Armstrong at Michigan International Speedway:

Dakoda will be making his third career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Michigan International Speedway to go along with three prior starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and one in the ARCA Racing Series.

Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 16th at the Brooklyn, Michigan track which occurred in this event last season.

Dakoda’s Thoughts on Michigan International Speedway:

“Michigan is a really fast race track with a lot of grip.  It’s pretty easy to run wide open but at the same time you have to be good in traffic to race well.”

“We are coming off a decent run at Pocono even though the rain shortened race didnt give us the finish we should have had. Hopefully we keep that momentum going this week at Michigan. The track is close to home for me and Winfield will be bringing a big group to the track this weekend so a solid run would be good for everyone.”

Pocono Rewind:

The NASCAR XFINITY Series presented a unique challenge to teams and drivers this week as the series made its first visit to Pocono Raceway.  With five previous starts at the 2.5-mile triangle shaped track in Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Racing action, Dakoda Armstrong looked to use that experience to his advantage.  In a rain shortened event, the New Castle, Indiana native would steer his No. 28 Toyota to an 18th-place finish in the running of the Pocono Green 250 at the track known as the “Tricky Triangle”.

2016 Stats:
Starts:   12
Avg. Starting Position:   22.3
Avg. Finishing Position: 21.8
Best Finish:   14th (Daytona & Richmond)
Points Standing:   16th
