Armstrong at Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
Dakoda will be making his third career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He has Top-20 finishes in his two previous starts with finishes of 17th and 19th.

Dakoda’s Thoughts on Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
“It is always fun and a thrill to race on the legendary big track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  I grew up not far from the track in New Castle, Indiana and it is an honor to now to be racing there.”

“The track is really fast with tight corners making it a hard track to race on.  Track position is very important at Indy so we need to have a decent qualifying effort for the heat races so we can get good track position for the start of the main race.”

Dash 4 Cash Format:
The NASCAR XFINITY Series will take racing back to its roots with Heat races, with the last of the Dash 4 Cash events this weekend in Indianapolis.  The Dash 4 Cash events are comprised of two Heats and a Main.

For these unique Dash 4 Cash events, traditional, single-car qualifying will determine the 40 eligible vehicles and starting positions for the two Heats, with the fastest qualifier receiving the Coors Light Pole Award. Odd-numbered qualifiers (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc.) will start in the first Heat in respective order, while even-numbered qualifiers (2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.) will start the second Heat in respective order.

The two Heats will set the starting positions for the Main, with the top two NASCAR XFINITY Series championship points-earning drivers in each Heat becoming eligible for the Dash 4 Cash bonus. Of the four eligible Dash 4 Cash drivers, the highest-finishing driver in the Main will be awarded a $100,000 bonus.

New Hampshire Rewind:
Dakoda Armstrong entered the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway carrying some positive momentum and he and his JGL Racing team did their best to continue it.  The New Castle, Indiana native piloted his No. 28 Winfield Toyota to a 17th place finish in the running of the AutoLotto 200 at the track known as the “Magic Mile”.

Avg. Starting Position:   21.9
