Burton Ready to Return to Racing in Home State This Weekend

Burton to Wheel No. 98 Estes Express Line Ford Mustang for Biagi-DenBeste Racing

Jeb Burton returns to racing this weekend in the No. 98 Estes Express Line Ford Mustang for Biagi-DenBeste Racing at none other than a track in his home state of Virginia. Burton, a Halifax, Virginia native, will compete in Friday night’s Virginia529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway. This is his first XFINITY Series race since Indianapolis in July.

Burton competed in his first XFINITY Series race at the 0.75-mile track in April of this year and finished 19th. This will be Burton’s second career XFINITY Series start at Richmond, although he has had two starts in the Sprint Cup Series in 2015.

Estes Express Lines is a full-service freight transportation provider, headquartered in Burton’s home state of Virginia. The Richmond-based company has previously partnered with Burton in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Camping World Truck Series.

Fans will be able to meet and get an autograph from Burton at the XFINITY Series Autograph Session on Friday, September 9. The autograph session will take place in the amphitheater behind Turn 1, and requires a wristband to participate. Wristbands will be available for pickup at the Virginia529 College Savings Plan Midway display starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, and will be distributed while supplies last.

Where: Amphitheatre behind Turn 1, Richmond International Raceway
When: Friday, September 9, from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m.

“Richmond is a home track for me, and I have a lot of fun memories from there when I was a kid. My dad got the pole and track record there in 2002 when I was a little kid, so it would be cool if I could go there and win. My uncle (Jeff Burton) also won there in 1998, and with it being so close to my hometown, it really is a track that is special to me and my family. I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to run a second race for Biagi-DenBeste Racing along with Estes Express Lines, and I’m looking forward to being as competitive as I can for them and bringing home a top finish.”
